Saskitoba Diner- Handmade Perogies

Finally got to try out Saskitoba in Nisku and their famous Pierogi Poutine! And it did not disappoint.

This is a little hole in the wall.nothing fancy about it at all BUT that's fine! Food was good.staff were awesome. Very popular, very busy.looking forward to going back and giving a 5 star review

I was transported back to my Baba's kitchen table and big family suppers. Mixing a big dollop of sour cream into borscht, the perfect balance of sour, dill, and earthy beets. Listening to the same music she would have played on the record player. I miss my Dad, he would have loved this.

This place is the very definition of hidden gem.ate here for the first time today and was blown away! Amazing food. Highly recommended.

My son and I went for the buffet. My only disappointment with the buffet was borscht was not an option this time, lol. My family has Ukrainian roots and I am well versed in how to make all the dishes that were at the buffet. The pickled beets were tender and delicious. The perogies were a little light on flavor but the dough was excellent. The fried sauerkraut (which was homemade) and bacon was very tasty. The beef stroganoff and meatballs and gravy also very good. The cabbage rolls, which are my favorite were some of the best cabbage rolls I have had. Even my son who does not like cabbage rolls liked these ones. Everytime I have to head to Edmonton, I will be making a point to come here.

3 times so far. The food will keep me coming back regularly and the price sure helps with making that happen.

If you are there for the food and the company, and love home made Ukrainian food that tastes great, then this is your place. I only wish I knew of it sooner.

Best, and I mean best, Ukranian food I've ever eaten! Go for the lunch buffet, every dish is absolutely scrumptious! It's all handmade, and it shows! You won't be disappointed! Can't wait till I'm in the area again!

What a pleasant surprise. Out of the way place with extraordinary food. Everything hand made but the sausage and that was even good too! Lovely service and met the owner. Gonna be a repeat visit

My husband & I and our neighbors decided to try the Ukrainian Buffet at Saskitoba. It was amazing.all the food was so tasty. All the buffet items that they had were EXCELLENT. The staff were all so friendly and made you feel so welcomed. Will certainly go back again. It is a very nice Diner.

The food was so delicious! I wish they had borscht at the buffet because I love it, but there were so many options. Everything was delicious. I'm not a nachynka fan, but the nachynka at Saskitoba was delicious! And the pickled beets were so so so good.

The staff were very friendly and price was really good! I think I may save my time making perogies and just come here instead!

Had the best dinner tonight. My mom and I went to have the buffet dinner. It was amazing food, the staff were so friendly and caring. Price was very good for the food and the best apple pie I ever had. Will be going back again. Thanks for a great dinner outing.

And yet, I look forward to these in my combo. I save them for last so I can really enjoy them. Don't tell my auntie, but these are the best, and have made me love cabbage rolls. Also, the perogies are amazing.

We enjoyed the buffet. Gluten Friendly choices were marked. This was appreciated. $20 is so reasonable for excellent, fresh, homemade Ukrainian favorites.

A diner out in an industrial area in Nisku. Both the food and service were excellent! Super good value since portions are big and filling for the price you pay. I tried the perogies (traditional is the best!), cabbage rolls and borscht, all delicious! Sausages were also very juicy and tasty. Would definitely recommend!

What is not to love. Everything is amazing. Fast hot and best of all homemade. It is a must stop place. Check it out you wont be disappointed

Love this place! All the tastes of home in huge portions and great places. Saskitoba diner just became our FAVORITE burger place. The homemade perogies and REAL Manitoba farmer sausage is excellent as well.

Nothing to look at. Was a little confused as the sign on the building says Nisku Diner but the window and door have the proper name. The building is nothing to look at both outside and in but the food is great. We had the combo with 9 homemade pyrogies, cabbage roll, sausage and coleslaw. Tastes just like Mom makes which is saying a lot. Good portions and great price. Wonderful staff and good service.

Amazing food, especially the borscht soup, mushroom burger is probably yhe best I've had and to be honest I'm not a fan of mushroom burgers but it was on special and they make it with some kind of mushroom soup gravy sauce OMG I ate ever mushroom off my plate when I was done, the service is always warm and inviting as well I highly recommend this hidden gem

Great local restaurant, great service, great food. Had the perogies, they were great, the sandwiches looked delicious, I will get one of them next time.

We participated in the "Pay Our Rent Event" and tried out Saskitoba Diner for the first time! Because of the overwhelming amount of orders for this event, the wait time was a little long, but absolutely to be expected with the kind of volume they were pumping out of those doors! We ordered the Ukrainian dinner for 4 and WOW, we were not disappointed! We can't wait for restrictions to be lifted so we can eat-in. Thank you Saskitoba Diner for asking for help, so that we were able to discover this awesome little local gem! I highly recommend the delicious food and cannot wait to go back. HAND PINCHED PEROGIES, MEATBALLS, CABBAGE ROLLS, KUBASA SAUSAGE AND APPLE DESSERT PEROGIES. 100% Amazing!

My family and I had an amazing dinner tonight. The food was absolutely amazing, the dinner for 4 was more like a dinner for 6. I don't usually trust perogies that aren't from my Baba, but these were some of the best I've had in my entire life.

Best perogies around. Great place for a quick lunch. The Kubie dog is awesome. Priced accordingly for a quality home cooked meal.

This was an amazing meal! The handmade perogies are some of the best ive had in the Alberta area. Despite being in the industrial area of Nisku, its worth the drive to find. The family was fighting for the next piece from the meat balls or the sausage. You receive great value for you meal! Definitely a heartwarming family restaurant and you can taste the love in the cooking. Check them out

I grew up in a Ukrainian household so I have high expectations. I find this food to be some of the best Ukrainian food I've ever had. The only thing I didn't like was that the meatballs were a little dry. But overall it was amazing.

My husband and I were there today, I must say the perogies were FANTASTIC, I am very fussy when it comes to UKRAINIAN food or POLISH food. The sauerkraut ones are my favourite and she makes them just the way they should taste. No potatoes! Just sauerkraut yum yum The BORSCHT is to die for! I am hoping she will give me her recipe, not even my mum made it that good or anyone I knowThank you again we will be back.

If you are looking for an awesome place to eat you must try Saskitoba Diner in Nisku. For a great meal of Authentic Ukrainian food or home cooked western meals. The plates are full and the prices are exceptional. The staff greet you with a smile and make sure you enjoy a wonderful dining experience. We will be back for sure!

Saw a few friends tagging this place on Facebook so I gave it a go tonight at their "Pop-up" supper and OMFG. I had the smoked chicken and it was literally falling off the bone. It had just the right about of smokey flavour. Quick service and the staff were all super friendly! The owner came out and introduced herself and asked how everything was which I thought was very cool. Thank you Candy! (Hope I spelled that right)

You get wonderful tasting food for a great price. The owners and staff make sure you leave with a smile and a full belly. If you love your Ukrainian food and western foods come on and try this fantastic diner.
Second time here and it for sure, it will keep us coming back.

I stopped in today to try their perogies. I was pleasantly surprised by how good they were! This little diner is a must stop for some good home cooked meals. They're open from 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday.

I ordered the combo #2 with the sourkraut perogies, meatballs, and cabbage rolls. It was a great meal! Definitely a return customer!
