Tough job ~ great service and the vehicles are in good shape for this winter, what I could see. My truck is ready for the highway.

A bit shady here, don't expect high end customer service, so you won't be disappointed. Be a smart consumer when coming here. Take pics of the mileage and cleanliness of the vehicle before and after.

Pro tip for fuel, keeping in mind that today's regular gas prices are $134.9, so adjust accordingly.

I calculate it to be $1.25/1 mile for refueling.

And don't forget to include the distance from the gas station to drop off location.

I’m very disappointed with my Uhaul experience. Don’t go to this location or give your money to them. They have their uhauls at half full and tell you that you just have to fill it to that level when you return which is very vague. I drove 46miles and put in $20 of gas which returned the needle to around half full. The man working there wasn’t happy with that and demanded that I pay an additional $15 to cover the gas. On top of that the back of the uhaul was very dirty and full of leaves. I won’t ever be booking a uhaul from this location again.

As you can read below, they seem to have a Gas scam set up. I drove our truck 30 miles and the guy told me I needed to out $35 of fuel in. That math is more than double what these trucks would do. All this despite the fact that I left it with the fuel needle above where I got it. Hey showed him the pictures to prove it and it still was not good enough. This is a common theme with this place. The truck was also very dirty inside the cab. They do not take care of the vehicles here and they expect them to come back in better condition then you received them. I would avoid this place.

Horrible service paid $166.00 used the uhaul for less than 6 hours the amount of time I was scheduled. Then when I returned the truck after 3 hours with barely any gas used. I agreed to a $12.65 charge for gas even though I know I didn’t use that much the guy than disappeared for awhile than tried to get me to pay and extra $80 with no explanation when I asked him why he accused me of yelling and “rapping” (I assume cause I’m a person of colour) than told me he was going to call the manager I politely walked out and told him to have a nice day would give this place 0 if there was such a thing.

I have no idea what the other reviews are on about. I came to pick up a trailer and I was in and out in 10 minutes no hassle. Staff was helpful and easygoing and I saw them helping other customers load boxes into their cars. Dropping the trailer off was equally as painless.

I cannot believe the level of incompetence and unfairness I experienced with this car rental company. Not only was the vehicle not cleaned properly when I picked it up, but when I returned it after driving only 23 miles, I was charged an additional $11.40 for "short distance" and "gas mileage" fees. What kind of scam is this?

I calculated that I paid a ridiculous amount of 21.44 cents per mile for gas, which equates to 15.42 liters of gas for the 37 km I drove. That's more than the gas mileage for a 15' Uhaul truck according to online research, which is 23.52 liters per 100 km. It is clear that this rental company is taking advantage of their customers by charging outrageous fees for a short distance drive.

To make matters worse, the rental company's own system shows that I was charged around $52, but in reality, I was charged $74 on my credit card, plus the 7 liters of gas I put in before returning the vehicle. This is completely unacceptable and I demand that this issue be rectified immediately. Customers should not be taken advantage of and unfairly charged for fees that make no sense.

I had a great experience! The rep I worked with was kind and even helped me withhook up, which I was not expecting. Was super nervous because of all the bad reviews. Can't help but wonder tho if it's the customers who are simply not patient? Thanks for a great service! I'll be back for sure!

ETA: I used this same u-haul dealer for 3 or 4 trailers over the summer. I dealt with two different gentlemen, both were always helpful and kind. I'm so glad I didn't trust the reviews and went with convenience for me. Thanks Hawkwood U-haul!

Very disappointed and will be following up with uHaul as the owner tried to scam me saying I needed to put in a total $50 in gas for 70 km driven. Thankfully, , I had taken some photos. He said that when it is -40C and you keep the truck running for 6 hours to keep it warm, that is how much the truck burns in fuel. Problem with that, is that it was 5C and I did not keep the truck running. I picked up the vehicle with 5/8 of a tank and returned it with 5/8 of a tank. So I stuck to my guns as I had heard that this would happen. I am guessing most people would give into this guy because he is aggressive, rude and a liar. I wasn’t going to let home bully me. Glad I had taken pictures of the mileage and the fuel gauge before I let the parking lot. Funny thing is there was another guy in the store and said he had the exact same experience with him. I had an excellent experience with the folks at Simon’s valley so you want to consider that location as an option.

Super unprofessional service here. I came in to check into my reservation, I Had called a couple hours to confirm that the truck was available to which was advised it was. When I got to the location with my reservation number that I Had in front of me, the Owner/individual at the counter just kept telling me that my reservation was at a different location. Normally this wouldn't have warranted a negative review, but after arguing with me over whether or not I Had a reservation there, the guy just bluntly stopped helping me out, to yell at his trainee that was helping a gas customer out. After being ignorant to his trainee, the gentlemen got back to me and all of a sudden "found" my reservation after about a 15 minute wait.

The check out process wasn't much better.

We booked a truck for moving. The guy who runs the store was friendly and professional. We got the truck on time and clean. He also has moving stuff like box mattress cover in store. I highly recommend this store to everybody.

I have rented several times from this location The trucks are always ready at the requested time and the final price is always as expected.

I would agree with the other negative reviews. Just go to the larger locations. They are more reasonable. These guys will use every trick in the book. Question them and they will not listen to you just get aggressive. Miserable, dishonest, selfish, greedy, petty, rude, i could go on. Not good people.

Terrible customer service on the phone. And I mean TERRIBLE. I don't write bad reviews.but this guy deserved one.

I was trying to take a van but before coming I called to contact center and asked about conditions, and I was confused when arrived to this place because representative told me different rules of renting U-Haul. In my attempts to prove that there are certain condiotons he responded that its maybe mistake… I decided not to lose my time trying to convence a guy who really don't care about customers, and called again to contact center, and they approved me that this representative was wrong… So long story short - maybe other service points are good but this does not do service properly. And there are a lot of reviews that this place doesn't present good quality service. I hope U-Haul manager time to time read reviews, and gonna make right conclusions. Thanks.
