2400 Motel

Guy that works at the front desk is a goof. Bed bugs all over this place and goofball thinks it's a joke and take people's deposits trying to claim bedsheets had a stain on it. Place is a rundown junky palace

Share the same ambiance and facilities as other north American budget motels, Location is good in between Burnaby and DT Vancouver with reasonable commute access.price varies according to the season, don't expect polite or friendly management (as probably they have to deal with lots of questionable people), Guests are fully responsible for your belongings.

Love the nostalgia of this place staff were helpful and courteous stayed for 3 nights with my very beautiful girlfriend courtney we loved every minute there together i love you courtney

I stayed there a few nights, I asked what the price is for staying by the month. I was told, I coudn't afford it. You see I am "First Nation". BC Housing just gave me their number again. To phone and see if I can stay a few months.

Had a great time with a Brazilian girlfriend of mine. Nothing fancy but more than adequate. Unless you're a diaper warming pee pantl

There was rats running around outside the motel for starters. There was little to no wifi connection in our room and it was so hot. The windows were broken to the point where if I wanted to open it I might as well invite anyone inside through it, therefore a huge safety concern especially at night. We stayed here since it was the only hotel available for the certain dates we were there. I would not recommend it to anyone unless you like rats:)

No room service, I stayed there for four days, second day i call to reception to send somebody to pick garbage and clean the washroom the receptionist replied they only do room service once a week that is only Thursday. So how i manage there with my family only I knows Never recommended

Was okay, room was extremely hot with only a small fan to keep it cool. They also took money off my security deposit (my friends & I were there ONE NIGHT & spent a majority time at hotel sleeping) without even giving a reason for taking that money off the security deposit. Especially after I tidied the room before going to sleep. Over all wouldn't use it again.

I called the day of to confirm that the check in time was 4: 00 pm. We drove all night and day from The States and arrived at 3: 51 pm. We were told it would be another half hour, then an hour and finally that we should go to dinner and come back. We finally checked in over 3 hours late. They didn't care and didn't even give us the $25 dinner voucher that came with the package we'd purchased. Horrible customer service! The room was old and sort of clean, some garbage left in the bathroom. This hotel definitely needs to be updated. Had a strange man come to our door one night. Definitely won't stay there again.

Worst motel ever seen, as soon as we went in the room a huge rat welcomed us and saw a cockroach running in the room.
Moreover no air conditioning.
Consider all this before booking this.

For the price, 2400 Court is a bit run down but its a good place to stay. It's fun that it has been the site of several films and TV shows.

I really can't even give this place a 1 star. They promised the phone and WiFi worked -neither did-only in the office! It has not been remodelled since 1946! Mould around the shower tiles, tiles falling off. The bottom of the front door was kicked in, I could put my fist through it to the outside. The sink, toilet and the bedding were clean but, I think original to the motel. This was the cheapest I could find in an emergency in Vancouver $236! With tax. They also charge a $200 damage deposit that goes right on your card and then after they physically check your room the next day, it is put back on as a refund. Can't really blame them-not a safe area-lots of long term tenants in this motel. The guy next door sat in a chair under our window and talked to himself constantly. Oh, yes, the TV did not work! Could not hear it at all-maintenance worker will be in tomorrow! I asked for another room but that would have been another $100. Not recommended!

Room was very dirty. Live bug in the bed. Shower walls covered in long hair. Moved hotels it was so bad. Don't recommend at all!

A great stay. Cheap, cheerful and recently renovated makes me happy I choose this place to stay. Very quaint old school experience and in the heart of the major city of Vancouver too.

I choosed to reserve at the 2400 motel because I couldn’t afford to pay a crazy price only for one night, so I knew it probably wouldn’t be an amazing experience. But, for $172 AND a $200 deposit, I’ve stayed in a lot of places that were way nicer! Room smells weird, there’s stains all over the carpet and beddings, bathroom is awful and full of mold, and just looking at the shower makes my skin itchy!
If you are only staying for a night event in Vancouver and can’t afford to pay a little extra, well you can go there, but I’m honestly starting to consider sleeping in my truck tonight.
The one star is only for the desk guy who was very polite and welcoming

Walked in and was immediately verbally assaulted by a guest trying to check in. Receptionist was very kind and understood why we ubered out before checking in.

I met a friend there who needed a place to stay for a few nights until they could move into their new apartment, and (apparently) this was the only place they could find on short notice.

In my opinion, the place is a dive, and the typical clientele seem to be very sketchy. In fact, the area around the motel is sketchy too, although there is a lot of development happening along Kingsway, so maybe in a few years it will get better.

I'm not sure how much they paid per night, but it would have to be cheap.

Mind you, I was only there breifly, so maybe this is an unfair observation. However, from what I saw, I personally wouldn't stay there unless I had no where else to go.

The WORST place I have ever seen. I am shocked that this place still runs, and is not closed for good. Its sad considering its one of the historic and one of the first "original" motels. But who ever owns this motel.its embarrassing. I would not recommend this place even to my worst enemy! Dirty, smelly, broken.disgusting.almost unreal.

It's run down.ive stayed in standard rooms before.this one has nothing bar fridge nor air conditioning. And need go gas station if want ice

Very dirty, old and run down rooms. The bathroom door wasn't closing, we found empty beer bottles in the closet, water in the shower was barely dripping. On top of that, the phone was ringing all night for no reason and kept us awake (very creepy). Would not stay again. Arguably one of the worst places I ever stayed at.

I stayed here once and someone literally got stabbed with a bottle and tried to break into my room.

Staff were super nice about it but wouldn't comp my stay unfortunately.

They took two deposits from me first night I stayed in single room payed cash. Next night I moved to a full kitchenette suite two bedrooms. Rather than carrying the 200 deposit from first room they asked for a second two hundred. I assumed because I eD staying a week n the room was larger. At check out they only returned 200 and claim to have no paperwork on first deposit. So basically they frauded me as the manager has not returned my calls. I stayed there another night just last week single room and put 200 down dep. I had a family emergency so I asked my friend to return key to office and I called to let them know would be e to come pick up my deposit after 3. Once I got there they askede for the key. Usually u leave in the room before check out. My situation wD different because check out 21 or 12 so I had my friend bring key to office window 630 am. As the guy at counter was not realizing the key was in its slot rather than looking he charged me 75 dollars to make a key that was never lost. This hotel had some very good employers and some that are dishonest enough to steal from returning customers. Until I get both refunds I will not return and be sure to spread the word that they are theigs. I even have all the paper work to prove it but they haven'tade me a priority at all. Calm

I would not recommend this place to anyone. It looks nothing like in the pictures. It is far from everything, there is not even a Tim Hortons around. There is no air conditioning, the TV doesn't work, it's clear the place hasn't been updated since it opened.there is NO USABLE WIFI. Us and the other tenants had to go hover around the reception office to get a signal and even then it was the slowest thing I have ever seen. For the price it is not worth it, and it is nothing as advertised.

Great location and nice service. In this motel, some movie and serie scenes were filmed (Bates Motel, X-Files.). High recommendable!

First day we got there, walked in and some of the lights didn’t work, bed sheets were stained, roof in the bathroom was falling apart, mold on the roof, spider infestation in the shower that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in over a week, hair on the toilet seat.lady at the front offered a refund

Perfect for a night of debauchery. Not very clean but it'll do for fun. They have smoking rooms for a price which is nice for those who smoke.

It has been many decades since I stayed at the 2400. I liked the central location and the privacy of the intimate bungalows.

When I stayed at the 2400 there was no such thing as internet, the fax was not yet invented. Music was on eight-track tapes and AM Radio.

I often wonder if much has changed at the 2400?

Very private with outside entrance to each room. Clean and no smells of stale smoke. Pleasantly surprised

Disclaimer: I've visited this motel but never stayed here.

I visited it because of its historical and architectural significance. In 1999, one of the guest was Ahmed Ressam, who was convicted of planning a huge terrorist attack in Los Angeles. He was mixing the bomb chemicals at this hotel while coughing because of inhaling the fumes. The maid was suspicious but didn't tell the RCMP because in those days people were generally nice, not terrorists.

The grounds of the motel is also pleasant and looks like what roadside motels in the 1950's might have looked like, perhaps on the famous Route 66. It's a bunch of bungalows, painted white and a 1950's style sign in front.

A slight word of caution. This place is not near any tourist attractions nor is it in the swanky part of town. However, parking is easy.

Rooms are infested with bedbugs. Both me and my girlfriend have bites all over our bodies. Please be warned

When we got there our room had bed bugs. I talked to the guy at the desk and he didn’t apologize, just said he would move us to a room which he “guaranteed” wouldn’t have bed bugs. Of course it did too. Me and my girlfriend woke up covered in itchy bits all over. Didn’t receive so much as an apology, let alone a discount or refund.

Overpriced, and lots of bedbugs. I moved roomed and the new room had bedbugs too. This is especially concerning during COVID times as the virus can be spread by blood. You’re basically paying for the retro feel and novelty of the sprawling layout in the middle of the city. A great place to go if you like bedbugs

Nothing fancy but clean inexpensive accommodations in a cottage/townhouse configuration that is nice to meet some of the other guests during your stay. Good staff and a great value for the price especially in Vancouver.

Service: The Lady was very rude and Incompetent.

Very friendly customer service and reasonable prices and spacious rooms. They offer smoking and non smoking units which is nice to have that option. Only issue we had was our key to our unit broke in the key hole of our door and we had to be relocated. Other than that we had no other issues.

For the price it is a really neat place. Some cool history, you get to park right in front of your room and the parking feels safe. Also easy access to walk to lots of great food. Only real down side was that the people next to us spent all night screaming at each other two nights in a row. The first night someone from the hotel came and banged on the door around midnight until they answered and they quieted down. The next night they screamed crazy things at each other until 2am. Not really their fault but it was pretty ridiculous.

Overall is good comparing with the price. The downside are - WiFi is the worst (some room are okay) Couples receptionist are closed minded

Seven days spent in total relaxation. This motel is my favorite in all of Vancouver. The chamber maids are so helpful, appropriate and hardworking. I took special care to leave my room as close to how it was when I checked in.

HORROR MOTEL!

We gave her regular 200 Dollar
Deposit. The room was dirty & brown stained sheets and Mise & the Toilet. - I have no words.

The lady at the reception was looking for a fight
. No deposit. Disrespectful and twisted.

Some relatives got the room, but it was very dirty there were blood stains on the sheets, when they asked for new ones the receptionist was very nice about it and told us about the history of the motel but they just got equally dirty sheets. There was a lot of stuff left from the last rentee, pins on the sheets, nicotine patches, it was a struggle to clean.

Motel is not a great value. You get what you pay for. The Motel was funky and parking was sketchy like the hosts. However the place was clean.

Was not worth $160 a night. Was racially discriminated against when I tried to get my deposit back, said they had to check the room even though I paid by credit card. Never again it's a dump!

Complete dump. Broken shower, broken towel hanger, filthy floors, broken windows that don't shut, overpriced as ever for such garbage quality. Highly DO NOT recommend this place. Motels are supposed to be cheap and fair. Wish I could give a -5 stars

Carpet was extremely dirty. No clean surfaces. Bathroom floor was damp the entire time without even being used. Black smudges on the wall. Roof was shingled with tarps. There is a reason horror movies film murder scenes here. Definitely an experience!

Other than it being dirty, I reserved a room with 2 beds. When we arrived, they said we were up graded to a room with a bed and a pull out. That's sure not an upgrade.

It's a 1 star hotel but it's spacious for the price, key location and nature motel was filmed here! So cool.

Just stopping in at front desk for old times sake. Used to come here when in Vancouver when we were little and stayed with our parents. Back in the 60s and 70s.
Glad to see it's still here and looked after!

Great discount motel near everything would stay there again next time I'm in Vancouver for a game or shopping

Season 1 episode 18 of tv series supernatural. Sam and Dean stay at this motel. The motel manager's kid is attacked by a spirit, shtriga, that steals life from kids. The kid's brother helps Sam and Dean kill the shtriga in the end. They stayed in room on the end with bay window, immediately to right of the office. However, the interior of the room I think is soundstage because the rooms from outside don't appear as big and the bay window is on back wall from door when it should be on sidewall.

Worst experience ever at a motel and I travel full time and stay at many motels cockroaches the size of ur big toe rooms were cleaned one time in a week front desk was rude disgusting place should be condemned
