There is a short haired karen lady working in this store and she has a terrible attitude especially against to delivery drivers. I felt sorry about that karen, the life must be hard for him with this attitude: (she said the order is gonna be read in 5 min I came back after 10 min and asked the order and she said don’t make me rush lol and I she gave me 1 star poor lady needs some break

The woman with short hair is miss Lin. I needed to use a washroom and asked her to use it. She said no and told me to buy food to use it. Later on she called the police when I tried to warn patrons of how rude she is. She then called the police and said I punched her in the face, grabbed her overly sized black rimed glasses, said I made death threats, I supposedly used the washroom and slammed the door on her face. I had to go to court to plead my innocence and they sent the police to send her a request for further information at the police station. I have a dvd and saw her lie again to the police. This time she said I used my forearm to push her. They knew she was lying. She tried to ruin my life and career over a washroom request. I don’t know why she’s still employed.

Customer service was decent. Until the bill came. Total was way more than expected. Turns out, the price on the menu is not accurate. Updated price is ~25-30% more than what is indicated on the menu. When we brought this discrepancy to the staff, they pointed to a sign by the counter. All 3 of us had missed it. Nowhere on the menu does it indicate the price change.

As a business, the menu you present to your customers should reflect your actual price. Yes, they posted ONE sign, and all THREE of us missed. I suppose that’s on us. Next time I’ll be sure to read EVERY word of handwritten notices.

Additional note: the sign asks that we double check pricing on UBER EATS. We were dine-in customers.

Completely dishonest shopkeeper, that short hair staff overcharged me and lied about moving in two weeks so they didn’t update the menu with the raised prices. I asked about cancelling my takeout order and was refused. Anyways, I’m not letting it slide. It’s outrageous that I read the reviews here and same thing happened two months ago. I just filed complaints with Canadian anti-fraud centre and customer protection BC. I have all the evidences with me. All I wish is just no one’s gonna fall into the same trick again.

Terrible restaurant and dishonest staff, overcharged me 30% more than the price shown on menu. The staff claimed that the menu price was updated but refused to print a receipt with price breakdown for me. Transparent enough, huh?

Look at the older reviews, scams happen over and over again. Be aware of the fraudulent “new menu price”.

Would definitely never visit again and highly recommend NOT to try it!

Customer service was what’s expected of a counter order. Everything was fine until we received the bill. Total was around 30% more than expected.

They told us the prices in the menu on their window and at their counter were incorrect as there had been pricing increases. At no point were we made aware of this before or after ordering until the bill came.

Server was rude, looking at the reviews from the past year this has happened multiple times, leading me to believe that this is just a scam they run to overcharge customers as payment was after we received the food. It was also strange that you ordered at the counter and paid after you had eaten? Scam scam scam.

Absolutely awful experience! I was planning to attend the meetup happening at this location and they locked the door during the business hours. And they said “we are full and we are not letting anyone in now! ” I can’t imagine locking the door during the business hour and not letting someone in who are attending the event happening. ”

Lovely little Taiwanese cafe. Really enjoyed the gua bao, crispy tofu and basil chicken. Highly recommended! Also had some Taiwanese black tea. Really good as well.

Absolutely love this place. The food is delicious! My fave is the taipei fog! Any one of the desserts will make your day. The staff are so kind. Thank you for staying open during Covid and making my day!

Great vibe/decor. The food here is always on point. The basil popcorn chicken is. Dangerous place if you like sweets cause the cakes and drinks are so sooooo good. Staff are friendly, seems family-run which is always a plus.

This is one of the best spots to eat in the west end. I've been coming to this cafe for nearly 3 years and the food has always been excellent. The staff are always welcoming and attentive. I highly recommend.

Nice and friendly, great coffee! Edit: 1Sept 2 09. I wanted to add a little to my original review, so here it is! I absolutely LOVE comming to 3 Quarters Full Cafe! The staff are amazing! It feels like home everytime I go. That in of itself, is remarkable! You wont find that in 2 many other places! The staff are always professional, and work very hard for the customers. I see that all the time! It's always clean, and the music is chill. I love music so, that's a big bonus! The Food: Normally, I'm a coffee/ cookie kind of guy, and that coffee is the best I've come across in a LONG Time! Those little cookies are delicious! Well, about a month ago I decided to get some food, and eat at home. I had Popcorn Chicken which was amazing and tender, rice was excellent, and spring rolls were delicious! I think I have ordered it about 4 Times since then! Its THAT good! Thanx to all the staff for being so nice and caring about there customers! And they all have a Terrific sense of humour (Especially when I look at the little " piggies " lol) So, all i can say 3 quarters is very unique. Check it out!

Bit concerned as staff were not wearing masks when I picked up my order. Additionally, parts of my order were just left out unattended on customer tables (not counters) and picked up and packed when I arrived. Lastly, whenever I've gone, the same staff tends to be impolite. Although not outright abrasive, tone and interaction were definitely not favorable.

This place is such a sweet spot with great energy and vibes for anyone who would like to study, work, chill with their friends and even explore signature food and bakery! Very friendly staff and I always have fun interacting with them.

Honestly, it is easily my favorite spot to work in the West End. The music choice is great and the seating areas are perfect for doing arduous work. I have been very productive working here and managed to get a 10 page document completed in few hours! I also would love to invite friends over and we would surely have an amazing unique time together! Give this place a try and you will come out of it very satisfied!

I usually always go here for their popcorn, but not anymore. Just saw the owner being racist towards a delivery person, just because he asked how long the order will take and she snapped. Avoid, the food is okay but the management is bad

Extremely awful service. The staff with short hair and glasses demands you to pay tips with horrible service. When I got to the restaurant, she told me that the cake has been left on the counter for a long time as she blames me for ordering it too early. What a joke. One might wonder why couldn't she keep the cake in the fridge? This woman later said "it's winter time, I guess it's ok to leave that cake out inside the store. " It was my first time visiting this store and will definately NOT return again.

The service here is always great. My husband and I go often for the coffee and hot chocolate. We like to try a different pastry, bun or cake every time we visit and are not disappointed. Always look forward to coming here, especially to warm ourselves up on a cold Sunday afternoon.

$22.5 for three mung bean cakes on Ubereats. (for reference, it will be around 5-10 bucks in the most stores.)

Called the restaurants to confirm the quantity received and the price, she said “ I am the only one complaining about the price and no one forced me to order online. ” That’s hilarious and pathetic. I don’t know where does that come from.

She tried to justify the price by “you get a free cake”. So, what does that mean? If you give a customer a free cake, you can charge it for $22.5? So ironic.

Oh, for sure, I will take my business somewhere else who are more “affordable. ”

Cute little hidden gem for a quick bite, desserts, and craft coffee/tea drinks. Authentic Taiwanese menu items. I tried the gua bao (pork belly bun) and the pork belly rice bowl. I enjoyed them.

A couple of critical comments: I was hoping for more sauerkraut in the bao but that's a personal preference. Also wishing that they had gone with the medium grain Calrose rice that's more common in Taiwan.
Bought a few traditional Taiwanese bakery buns and a slice of tiramisu. Can't wait to taste them when I get home!

Awesome staff that took the time to explain the menu and offer recommendations. We just got iced coffee and mocha but they were both very good.

Don't be deceived by the slightly high prices, these are completely justified. The simple menu puts forward world-class Taiwanese foods.

This place is awesome! Little Gem serving Taiwanese Food, I love their Bao and basil popcorn chicken:) staffs are friendly and helpful! Their desserts are amazing as well, gonna bring my parents here next time. Btw Taipei Fog must try lol

Warning: If you're ordering take out in person, double check the prices.

I went in person and ordered 3 items for take out, including a soup. On the in-store menu, the soup was $5. I didn't take a receipt (my fault here), but felt the total price was too high.

After I left, I called and discovered that I was charged $7.50 for the soup. They explained that they charged the online price, which is higher because the take out container is larger than the in-store bowl.

I've never seen a restaurant charge online prices when ordering take-out in person. I should give it to them though that they served me 20 minutes before closing.

Wow. Such poor service and unfriendly attitudes! There are so many other cafes to choose from. They should realize that.

The staff was extremely rude over the phone. I always order from this cafe, but this time the food taste horrible, and they use artificial flavour for their "real fruits" smoothie. Very disappointed.

Extremely poor service. I was in line waiting to order and the person at the counter literally ignored me and started talking to the person behind me in another language. I was ignored and when I kept trying to get someone's attention to order something, I was just spoken to in not English. To say this place has poor service would be an upgrade from how I was treated. I left without placing an order. I do not recommend this place.

Awesome Service! Yummy Taiwanese Food the best in town! Yam Balls are sooooo good must try man. I love everything here all freshly made in house and handmade lol I hope they open in Richmond so I can go more often:) their cake and pastry are not too sweet and I really love their handmade noodle and Bao too

I called to order take out - at first they asked what I would like to order. Then they changed their minds and said that they don't take phone orders because their menu at the restaurant is different so lots of people change their minds. So when I said I'm only ordering one item they made another excuse saying that they were too busy to take phone orders. At this point this sounds like a lot of BS. The cherry on top? I walked into the cafe and there was ZERO customers in line, and 4 people seated.

Stop making excuses, you decided open a small business get it together

Basque burnt cheesecake is good, the flavor is not too strong but somehow the texture is easy to get boring. I don't think they have combo and bubble tea. The restaurant has no concept. Just normal vibe

I love their freshly baked pineapple cakes. My favorite in Metro Vancouver. It is the going rate for freshly baked pineapple cakes too.

Can’t believe I just know this place! They are so Taiwanese and food & drinks all very authentic! Everything is made in house I love their Bao, Basil Popcorn Chicken, Naidong Roll Cake and Pineapple Cakes! Highly recommended and will be back for sure:)

Authentic taiwanese cuisine + coffee + tea + bakery using super fresh ingredients. We can taste that everything is made with love. We ordered popcorn chicken, Pork belly bao, taiwanese meatball soup, mochi and some items from the bakery. It’s the perfect place to spend the afternoon.so relaxing.

Been coming here every now and then for the past year. Food and coffee is consistently of very high quality (if a bit pricey), and the service is generally very kind and welcoming.

If I had one point of criticism, it would be that the owner (I'm assuming they're the owner) can be very moody, sometimes condescending, and they are very vocal about it. Particularly when Door Dash/Skip the Dishes drivers are involved, it's not uncommon to hear them lose their temper and raise their voice, which disrupts the otherwise sublime atmosphere. I fully understand frustrations in the restaurant industry, but verbal abuse is no way to resolve a problem, especially when miscommunication is already the root of the problem, and especially when it's directed at drivers who, from what I understand, are already overworked and underappreciated.

This is my first time to visit here. Very disappointed! Will not come back.

We ordered several popular items to go. When we got back home, as shown in the picture, we found many pig hairs are left on the pork belly. Not acceptable! Just spoiled our appetite immediately.

I have been going to 3 Quarters Full since they opened in 2016, and have remained a big fan of their food. Though a bit pricey, their baos, their cakes, their popcorn chicken, and the mochis are always spot on, and in my opinion, worth the price point for authentic Taiwanese cuisine. I’ve also purchased several boxes of their pineapple cakes for client gifting, and it’s always a hit. Today however, I had a very unpleasant experience that has completely soured my opinion of the owners, which is such a shame.

The previous night, I purchased 2 cakes. After trying the matcha cream roll at home, both my husband and I agreed that the cream in the cake tasted off (rotten dairy off). We tossed out the remaining cake, and the next day, went back to the restaurant to see if we could perhaps get a refund for the one slice of cake. Both of the female staff recognized us, as we had only purchased the cakes less than 24 hours earlier. I explained the situation, and politely asked for a refund for the one slice of cake. Rather than an apology, I was met with resistance by the female staff with short hair; I was told I should’ve brought in the half-eaten piece of cake for them to “assess” as proof, if I wanted a refund. Since I did not bring in trash, I was told the best they can do is offer another slice of cake (from the same roll). I did not want another slice from the same contaminated roll, but was met with resistance for the next 25 minutes. Though one female staffer (with long hair) was apologetic, her colleague (the one with short hair) was extremely unprofessional, relentlessly arguing with me about my lack of “proof, ” and insinuated that I was lying (seriously, what good reason do I have for taking time out of my day to scam them out of $8?). At no point, did any of the staff taste the cake roll in question to see if I my statement was valid. What’s worse, presumably the parents (aka, the owners / chefs) were talking badly about me, directly IN FRONT OF ME, in Taiwanese / Mandarin, because they assumed I couldn’t understand the language. I am disgusted by their behaviour, and the way they treated a very loyal customer. It is incredible that they would rather damage their reputation, rather than refund $8 for a piece of spoiled cake. As much as I wanted this small business to succeed, I will no longer be supporting them.
