Supermarket geared towards Vietnamese products. Prices are okay and not too expensive but isn't cheap either. But the place is pretty small and tight. If you are concerned about social distancing (covid). Then it might not be a good place for you.

Once met a very rude clerk, an senior south east Asian man, when asked him who just glared at you unreasonably, seems with mental problem? Not sure

Glad to find the things I need to buy plus variety of products. Fresh meat, produce and Asian food selection.

Only two cashier open with a long line up forming. Then they can't find pricing for a customer who is buying flower.

For such a small store, they have a large variety of produce and other grocery needs. I would a shop here in future in preference to T&T if they had everything though. I am giving it 4 stars though as it was extremely busy and only 2 cashiers on the tills and lineups were wrapping around the store but they were pretty swift at processing the customers.

Lots of items, including items from different cuisines! A little bit cramped and sometimes it is not clear how you can check out but overall pretty good.

My favourite community grocery store. They have a wide selection of Asian products at reasonable prices.

This is the first and last time I will go to this store. I told the cashier she overcharged me for an item and she started arguing with me. When another employee also pointed out the correct price she begrudgingly changed it. Then on my walk to my car I noticed the cashier had also double charged me for the wrong type of pears. I had to go back in and once again deal with the mishap. The manager apologized by saying, “We are not Superstore”.

Large variety of snack, beverage, produce, and just about everything else you'd expect from a decently sized Asian grocery store.

Great grocery store with large selection of Asian items. They even have a fresh fish area. I liked their pre-marinade Lemon grass chicken.

Their are also lots of Vietnamese herbs and spices that you cannot get elsewhere.

Far from home but I go here for the rare finds we can't get at T&T. They've got great selection of Southeast Asian grocery

Great local store. I like their fresh seafood and kind staff members. Meat quality is really good as well. It is pretty popular so usually I don't get a parking spot. And even they control pretty well for the COVID, sometimes I feel it is too crowded.

Good place to buy most Asian food/groceries.
And very reasonable price too compared to competition.

Fresh, affordable meats and produce. Fresh herbs. Good parking along the wall of German Haus. Fast tills, friendly staff. My only complaint is the ice cream freezer. Several times my ice cream had melted and was refrozen (it is obvious once you open the popsicles that are deformed and refrozen in the plastic). Happened more than once. You cant tell until you open the box. That is not food safe. The freezer at the front with dumplings seems fine. Still I give them 4 stars. Fix that freezer!

Lots of east Asia and southeast Asian ethnic offerings! Also host a big produce section and great variety of fresh meat products.

Parking is a nightmare here. Selections are very good and staff is polite. As the shop is not too large, it's hard to have good social distancing in it.

Best Asian grocery store in Vancouver! You can find almost everything you need for South East Asian cuisine. Prices are affordable and staff are friendly. Unlike that other Asian grocery store.

Line up outside. Only 25 people at one time. Got most of what I want and I am good for my homemade food for the whole week. Happy day.

88 Supermarket has a bit of everything for any SE Asia shopping trip. Reasonable meat prices and exotic vegetable supply. Has a good selection of frozen foods and dry goods. But not at a great bargain. Must be selective to save money there.

I love this grocery store- I always leave with quality produce and a flower bouquet for myself and way too much Asian pastry:)

They are not the cheapest, but they sell a lot of variety of stuff so it's very convenient!
I have shopped here many times. Recently for the past few visits, I had encountered more pricing errors. There was once, I asked one of the merchandiser about the price difference that was on the signage and the price tag that was on the product, and he just took out the promo signage (the promo was not expired) and said "oh that's wrong" without even offering to honour the price. I will advice shoppers to check the receipt before leaving the store.

I appreciate that the store is kept very clean & orderly, plus they carry a good variety of products.

Love the selection of exotic Asian fruit here! Look at this big jackfruit we bought. It was delicious.

Aisles are very narrow. They are packing too much product in a small space. Usually long lineups and staff are not very knowledgeable.

Narrow walkways for people moving in both directions. Friendly staff, properly labeled aisles & shelves.

Nothing to say too much about this place as this is a must go place if you are looking for any asian products that will help to level up your cooking menu.

I don't think they are not checking the expiration date.
I bought cup noodles today, but the expiration date was April 24th.

They have this raffle tickets/ draw coming every Canada Day with Toyota Corolla as the grand prize, you can get a ticket for every $50 spend in their store so why not try maybe gonna win the car.

This supermarket is well stocked with a wide variety of Asian sauces, condiments, pantry items and broths that you would not normally see even in T&T. The prices are relatively high given the location of the store and the quality of the decor/ambiance. In addition, during the time of COVID-19, you will not be able to do proper social distancing here since the aisles are all very close together so there is no possible way to keep 2 feet away from anyone. Those who work or patronize the store do not care about social distancing either and will walk right by you. Several times they almost ran into me. If you are one who is still concerned about social distancing, don't go here. I don't plan to go back.

I used to make the trip out to east Van from my place in Tinseltown. However these days the double 8 is symbolic of double the cost of everything. Spent some time comparing it to others and found out their prices have skyrocketed

I love shopping at 88 Supermarket as their produce and meat is always fresh, way more diverse selection of items compared to T&T, decent prices to the consumer, they accept AMEX and take your phone number if you forget your membership card and also their stock guys help you bring heavy items right to your car with a smile.even during COVID.the cashier sees you with a heavy item and will page someone to help you, mind you, I'm not even old, still in my 30's!

88 was one of the few very places I could find toilet paper when no stores had any, bottles of hand sanitizer with pumps, face masks, gloves, hair shears and cape and so much more without price gouging and stuff you wouldn't find at your regular big box dollar store. How they managed to stock those items when the pandemic was in it's early stages surprises me, but I am so grateful. Even though this store is small, keep in mind they are a small business and not supported by a big chain. Keep up the great work 88!

Good prices but way too crowded. Physical distancing will never work here. Wear a mask until Covid 19 is over.

What's not to like about this amazing supermarket? It's obviously an Asian supermarket and it does offer quite a variety (seafood, deli meats, etc.). The staff are very friendly, professional of course.

Sometimes things are mislabeled.mostly its them having discount but not applying when paying.i caught that more than three times and was able to get discount but i think they did that on purpose.also they didnt fix label even after i tell them.
