I have been buying my Yerba from Hans at Abbeymate for over 5 years. Hans is such a wonderful guy. I can always rely on him to stock the Mate that I love. The prices are great, and the customer service is outstanding. I just wish he would open a store in Kelowna!

Fun selection of imports from Paraguay and Brazil that take me back to my childhood. I find it a bit- and on some things it seems like a lot- pricey, but I assume that's due to the shipping. The yerba though, that's priced at a steal compared to anywhere else you might find it for sale.

Best place to buy yerba mate. There is a great selection, and very good prices. There is no better place to buy mate in the whole province of BC

Best selection of mate around. I’m a new fan of drinking mate and don’t have much in the way of education of flavours and can’t read Spanish, the owner is very helpful at explaining the different brands. Fraction of the cost that other shops in town sell at. Also carries bombilia and thermos and guampas.

Best price mate in GVRD. Have been purchasing for at least 7 - 8 years now (use to be a different business but always had yerba mate). Always have Cruz De Malta and Rosamonte available and great customer service as have even stayed open longer to wait for me to arrive due to traffic.
Not many yerba mate drinkers out here but I tell everybody about this place and none are disappointed.
