ABC Dental

Do not recommend. We were referred by our regular dentist as my daughter had an abscess that needed to be addressed. She is easily anxious and would not let anyone in to look or get xrays. The dentist at ABC was not able to get xrays but was able to take a quick look. She told me my daughter would need the abscess extracted and would also need at least 5 caps on her teeth possibly more as they do not just full cavities for baby teeth? She told me that once they had her out they would take xrays to know exactly what needed to be done but the estimate was approximately $7000 (we do not have coverage) and that the wait would be 4-6 months (my daughter was in pain). She said she will only do 100% of the work she recommends or none of it. So basically she would have my kid out on the table and give me no choice as to what dental work would be done and that the cost would be significant. She told me she had to be an “advocate for children”. She told me there was one more paediatric dentist she could refer me to but they would say the same. I have had bad experiences in my past being told I needed to get expensive dental work that upon getting a second opinion was found to be untrue. Fortunately being weary of this dentist I got a second opinion at a proper and honest dentist. I found the staff to be much more knowledgeable and friendly, as did my daughter as she let them take xrays so we could get a proper look at what was required. I was consulted and involved in the process (not talked at).
Although my daughter did need to be put out and did require dental work we were able to get it done within the month and total cost was $2000. Unfortunately not a-lot of options for children as local dentists refer you automatically to ABC. Do your research and be an “advocate for your children” this place is not your only option. They are a scam!

They have been my daughters dentist for almost 10 years and she has always gotten amazing care. They book up quite far in advance but every single time I've ever called for an urgent issue they squeeze her in the same day. Great office. Great staff.

We came from out of town, they were kind and catering since the first phone call. Made arrangements to align all the work with the toddler.
They explained everything clear and made my anxiety go away. All staff was super helpful and fue fly during recovery period Thank you so much! They are great!

We have taken our daughter here twice now and the entire team is amazing! Try are so gentle with our daughter who suffers dentist anxieties. Definitely recommend and will return if needed in the future.

Have been bringing my special needs daughter here for many years. The best dentist and assistants! My daughter loves to come to her appointments.

We travelled from out of town to get my 4 year olds tooth out and they were so good to her and made her feel safe! I am so happy with the service and thankful to the doctors for making the experience good for her!

The staff were amazing with my daughter, she felt totally comfortable through the whole procedure. After the procedure while my daughter was in recovery the staff were very supportive and understanding while my she was coming out of sedation. They have rooms that have a little bed and a tv so my daughter was able to watch a movie, which she was very happy about. They also called later in the day to make sure she was recovering well at home. I would definitely take my daughter back to ABC Dental even though I live an hour away.

We cannot fault this place. From reception to dental staff, our 3 year old feels safe and special and is always excited to return. I wouldn't hesitate to follow any of their recommendations for our children nor would I hesitate to recommend them to others.

The dentist was very knowledgeable and great with my child. The assistant was amazing. I am mostly pleased with this experience. However I find the fact I must pay an additional $80 "General Anesthesia Checklist" to do paper work, make an appointment and submitt a Dr Health and History form which will cost another $40 - $60. For a treatment plan over $7000 off putting. Also the low key threat of being charged $875 per hour if I miss my appointment. What if I had an emergency? Yikes. Then the bolded capital letters stating don't bring siblings because they are " "NOT ALLOWED". Is RUDE. And considered yelling in text etiquette. I understand extra fees but there is a difference between reasonable and gouging. And it is not hard to communicate that siblings are not allowed in a polite way. I also understand the loss of missed appointments being a nurse in the Healthcare system.
I've never had a dentist charge additional fee to manage paperwork, submit claims to an insurance comany and make an appointment before. I imagine because its pediatric? The other pediatric dentist probably do the same and I have no choice as my little one needs dental care.i might seek a second opinion.

It was a great first dental visit. Introduced my son to the instruments and involved him in the care. Perfect place for toddlers!

We have been coming to ABC Dental for 8 years for both kids. Highly inviting, warm, friendly and accommodating if nerves are high. One child has just standard checkups and cleans while the other has dental issues and work. Every transaction from reception, Hygienist and Dentist is lovely. Easy to book, accommodating and just really good at their job. We love our ABC Dental

Amazing with my son! Very thankful for the entire staff being so helpful and caring. They helped my son feel calm and comfortable.

Staff at ABC Dental are very nice, they make the kids feel comfortable, feel welcome and they make afun play out of it which makes the kids relax and never fear going to the dentist. The kids get rewarded, get put on the "cavity free wall of fame", there are games you name it. They listen and take time to understand your situation and concerns and accordingly give you options and are very flexible. Dr. Hasnain Dewji is the best dentist I've met especially when it comes to kids. He is always smiling.

For willows first dentist visit it couldn’t of gone any better the staff and the doctor were so very patient with her and talk her through everything is was a very good experience can’t wait to go back for the next one!

ABC Dental has amazing staff and does a great job making everyone feel comfortable (kids and parents). They were able to fit us in when our other dentist unexpectedly closed down. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Above & beyond care shown to our son: everything from reception, the atmosphere, professionalism & warmth of staff, and competence in their practice! Our son was always extremely anxious of every other dentist’s office he’s been to in the past. With ABC I’ve had him ASKING days in advance ‘when he gets to go’ and excited! Wouldn’t recommend anyone else!

I 100% recommend this place for any dental work your children may need.
The staff is wonderful and go above and beyond to take care of your child.
The setup for prep is amazing, they have rooms set up with a tv and wall stickers, my children felt like at home and not scared at all.

I definitely recommend coming here if you have children that are not so comfortable with going to the dentist.

We recently came from Ukraine fleeing the war there. When we came to Canada our son needed urgent dental help and we were referred to your clinic for treatment. We however did not have any resources to pay for such expensive treatment. You heard our story and decided to help us. We are so grateful to you.

ABC Dental is amazing. My children have had all their cleanings, one child has Autism and anxiety and they have been so patient with him since birth-even when he had to have 9 baby teeth extracted!
Everything they do demonstrates their caring and sincere intention of making dental work effective, efficient and non-threatening for children. They have a clear goal of helping children be able to go to the dentist now and for the rest of their lives without too much anxiety! My 7 year old had a tooth that needed pulling over Christmas and they got us in right away with care from Dr. Gill via text/call over the holidays to ensure my son wasn’t getting worse. Infections in children can progress quickly, so I appreciated her wisdom, advice and caring help VERY much. Thank you again, ABC dental!

My daughter and I just had the best experience dealing with all the staff at ABC Dental. My daughter had a pretty big surgery recently infact yesterday and I can't say it enough on how happy we were with the staff and the follow up that night from the ladies at the front desk. The lovely ladies at the front desk were so helpful and kind to my daughter and myself. DR Lee was so friendly and caring to my daughter, (she said she felt safe). All the staff made my daughter fell completely comfortable and safe. I would 100% recommend this place. To top it all off
(I believe her name was Karen) she was so helpful to my situation. Thank you for this amazing service Its hard to find a great place in any situation where there is great service.
