Abercorn Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

Overall, I was happy with my stay for the price! Quick walk from the bus station. It was great to have restaurant options in the hotel after a long day of travel. Also, a nice comfortable bed and clean room. Considering the terrible weather, too, I was so grateful for the working heating system!
However, I did experience some less than ideal things on my 1 night stay. Unfortunately there was a cockroach in the bathroom sink it scared me! Another issue was artificial scents … I had to plug my nose on the stairs because the orange air scent was overpowering (can trigger migraine). And the soaps and hair products are scented, too. Not everyone is allergic like me though so just a heads up for those who are - bring your own toiletries!
The staff was kind and helpful and I appreciated the shuttle to the airport, very nice driver. Despite the problems I’d stay again because it was a good deal

The room was small and grimy. The bedsheets were disgusting, with a lot of hair from someone else. I seriously doubt the bedding was even changed. The cover was also an off white dirty color with some brown stains.

In addition, the front desk staff was even rude when I asked for a change of bedding.

Stay far away from this fithy place.

I really liked the service, starting with a really late check-in and a friendly receptionist, ending with the complimentary shuttle ride to the airport, which is very close to the hotel. The room layout was a bit unconventional, including a couple of steps to go down to the bathroom and a big window in the shower that had holes in the privacy screen. The bed was very comfy and the place was quiet enough to have some needed rest before my connecting flight. I'll definitely go back next time I have an overnight stopover, or if I get to be in the Richmond area.

Flight cancelled, notify the hotel 4 am in the morning the day. Request some refund decined.

Fantastic stay! Friendly helpful courteous staff and service with a smile. Roshan is a definite asset to this hotel and the hotel is lucky to have him as their employee!

TV didn’t work, front desk suddenly didn’t speak English when we asked for it to be fixed. Shower scalded us badly twice. Breakfast was okay. We checked out half an hour late and no one noticed so there’s that at least.

Decent hotel. Stayed for one night since my flight in to YVR was in the evening and the next flight out to my small town (home) wasn't til the next day. Shuttle from airport was convenient. Check-in was a breeze. Room was clean. Bathroom was clean. Everything was functioning right (TV, hot water, AC, wifi). Bed and linen were clean. Booking next day shuttle was easy over the phone. Breakfast was okay, not the best but certainly sausage, ham, eggs, etc are better than just pastries. Will stay again and recommend this hotel!

Friends stayed 1 night and recommended so we did post late long flight into Van.
Our room window had been left wide open in a storm so FREEZING and sold out so no moving. The hall was freezing so imagine the room.
Power went our 5 min after we arrived so zero heat option now except a really comfy bed and down quilt. An hour later, still power out, we woke to our room being entered with people and flashlights. They forgot they rented this room.
2 hours later woke to noise,
we were going to ditch our am connector flight and leisurely sleep in and have the full breakfast but as this and even a coffee or shower was no option we headed in the pitch black hall for the lobby/ shuttle.
We didn't pre book the shuttle? Not until someone broke into our room ar 0245! Shuttle ok.
Weather+ happens but no heat, no privacy, no shower, no coffee or breakfast, no apology and refusal for a refund 'because you prepaid' which was the only booking option.
We were in the room under 4 hours.
Nice manager who lit his desk with candles but poor outcome/ response so 2 stars sorry

Stayed for one night between flights, this hotel was perfect! It was close to the airport. They offered a free shuttle and free breakfast.

The room was spacious and the bed was cozy.

There is a delicious Chinese food restaurant nextdoor for dinner.

Highly recommend!

This is the worst hotel you can visit, it looks great but they have the worst service available. They charged us when we cancled. When we confronted them they laughed and said “they paid us so just leave and move on. ”

Booked 4 nights with them. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. Staff is helping, polite, cheerful and positive to speak with.
Hotel has vibrant delight of staying with knowledgeable historical memos.

This stay was booked online for a teenage family member, who needed a place to stay after an unexpected death in the family. She arrived late at night with all the booking information, but like many teenagers, did not have her own credit card. The staff turned her out into the streets in the winter, with no where to go, and no phone service, as she only had a debit card and they required a credit card for the damage deposit. She offered to pay up front any ammount that might be reasonable, and asked if there was an option to send credit information over the phone from myself who booked the room, but was told there was no alternative. Turning away a grieving teenager with no where to go, from a room that is allready fully paid for, is unacceptable. We eventually were able to call and get an authorization form sent, but this was only after she had already left. This hotel needs to do better at finding ways to accommodate paying guests.

Does not aspire to greatness but does meet the criteria of an unobtrusive and welcoming abode near the airport when needed

The service and location are great. Good shuttle to airport. Continental breakfast was ok for a quick bite. The rooms could use some updating. And they use way too much disinfectant spray. Tough on those with allergies.

I do not recommend this hotel at all I cannot understand why this hotel is on Wyndham's list based on Windows brand why is this hotel a part of their listings this is a very cheap disgusting dirty old hotel that looks like an old ski lodge mattresses are dirty bathrooms are dirty I had pubic hair on the toilet long hair on the floor mold was on the walls of the tub tubs sinks are old porcelain cracking out of the sinks whatever you do stay away from this place there is a Holiday Inn right across the street I recommend that you cancel this reservation the price was $362 Canadian dollars I think that's roughly $264 us this is a cheap hotel that should not have charged any more than $59 per room the breakfast is disgusting but the people were very nice at the front desk the services the front desk was amazing there is a shuttle that takes you to the airport but you have to make a reservation so they will know how many people are leaving that hotel because they also shuttle for different hotels

This hotel was perfect for our needs. It’s dog friendly, reasonably priced, had a great free breakfast setup and is in a convenient location.

The highlight, though, was their service. Very nice staff who are over the top helpful. We’ll be staying there again in the future!

Very expensive hotel close to the airport, room was dated. The included breakfast was average but had many options.
