Abigail's Hotel

Absolutely loved our stay at Abigail’s. The room was beautiful, the breakfast delicious. I loved that the breakfast menu changed everyday, and they serve a new soup everyday at 4: 30pm as a snack!
We stayed in the new “Bessborough” building, so all elements of our room felt brand new, very elegant! The soaps, bath salts, shampoos etc smell divine!
Every part of our stay was thoughtfully curated, from the welcome cookies to the staff hospitality. Will definitely be back next time we visit Victoria!

What an amazing B&B! Check in was a breeze. Walking into your room, you are greeted with cookies and lovely classical music playing to start your stay off right. The room was immaculate. Loved the bath salts they provide.

The breakfast in the morning is lovely. The staff are nothing short of amazing. They are so friendly and accommodating (i have a dairy allergy).

We enjoyed their library/games room. Again, classical music playing to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The location is great. You are away from the downtown core but close enough it doesn’t take long to get there (10-15 min walk).

The added touches of Abigail’s is truly what sets them apart from any other B&B /hotel. I honestly feel bad for anywhere I stay moving forward because a new bar has been set.

Everything about Abigail's is charming! Our room was incredibly clean and the bed was SO comfortable. We loved all of the little details, especially the welcome cookies. The breakfast was also noteworthy - the fact that it's both included in your stay and delicious is such a perk. Hands down one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had to date. Another giant perk - the staff is so incredibly accommodating and kind. Thank you so much for making us feel so at home and taken care of. We can't wait to come back!

Stayed here for a little getaway and loved everything about it. The location is great, walking distance to both downtown and Beacon hill park. The service was amazing. The breakfast was great and we loved the late afternoon appetizers that were put out daily. It's all the small touches that really add up. We especially loved the music playing in our room apon arrival. This place has an oldworld charm that we truly appreciate. The bed was comfy and the sheets were amazing. We would definitely stay here again and can't wait to return.

This was such a charming hotel with the nicest staff. I love historic homes so when my fiancé found this place I knew we had to stay here. We stayed in the Tiffany Rose room that had a king bed, a fireplace in the bathroom and main room, a large clawfoot tub and ornate decor. Our stay also included breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance to all of the restaurants and the beds were so comfy. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a great stay. Nice quiet hotel with Victorian style rooms. Great complimentary breakfast and friendly service. Just be mindful the rooms don't have mini fridge or water kettle. However, the staff help if you need anything.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay this weekend at Abigail's Hotel. The location is very central and convenient. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and have everything you need. I appreciated the thought that went into every detail - from the location of the wall plugs, to the free snacks. The employees were very personable and kind. The real highlight, however, is the breakfast. It is like no hotel breakfast I have ever had - and better than most restaurants! There are gourmet options like eggs Benedict and Belgian waffles. Could not recommend this hotel enough.

This is a beautiful, quaint and intimate hotel. The rooms, service, breakfast are all incredible. You will not be disappointed!

Our first visit to Abigail’s Hotel was a delightful experience. All staff were friendly and professional and our room in the Carriage House was spotless with everything in its place. The handwritten personalized welcome card (and cookies) were a nice surprise, as was the relaxing background music that made our first moments in our room so comforting.
The included breakfast each morning was a special treat - thanks chef:)
The library/lounge, adjacent to the lobby, was cozy with comfy chairs and also a table should you want to play cards or a board game.
An easy 10 minute walk gets you to the inner harbour with all the popular shops and attractions.
We’ve travelled globally, and can honestly say Abigail’s Hotel ranks in our top ten!
We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely loved the small hotel friendliness of staff and other guests. Room beautiful. Was a standard room and wish I had paid a bit more for bigger room with tub and fireplace. 24-7 coffee and tea station welcome. Glad I had room on first floor as main building doesn't have an elevator. No evening appys but delicious soup served late afternoon. Breakfast was best I ever had. Soft sheets and plush robes. Location in heart of Victoria so car parked and could walk everywhere. Felt safe walking even at night. Would definitely stay again. Current exterior renos but no noise and not an issue.

We stayed a night in the orchid room and had an incredible experience here. The room itself was stunning, and the whole property was beautiful, even with some renovations happening. All of the staff were extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, and the options offered were amazing. We will definitely be returning here.

If you are going to Victoria and want something different, I highly recommend Abigail’s! We booked a night here for a concert at the Royal Theater and it was only a 5 minute walk each way. The service, staff, cleanliness, attention to detail and comfort exceeded all of our expectations. It is a perfect balance between a cozy B&B, and a high-end hotel. We stayed Thank you for having us, and we will definitely be recommending it to everyone we know!

Nice BnB style accommodation just a short walk from the city center and waterfront. We stayed in the coach house, room was decent sized although removing some furniture would provide more space. Fake fire place in the room adds a nice ambiance plus heat, bed was big and comfortable and bathroom has a huge tub with jets and rain head shower.
Cookies were provided in the room on check in as a welcome gift. Breakfast provided daily - three courses, which includes fruit, pastry/muffin and a choice of main (sweet/savoury or yoghurt/granola). They also offer a snack in the lobby at 4.30pm - cheese plate while we were there though this seems to be a more summer/high season thing - would have been nice if the lobby fire was on at the time, but probably not worth it given the hotel wasn't very full.
Overall a lovely place to stay.

It's not worth giving 5 stars, it is worth 10 stars for me. I love the ambiance, it's like going back in time minus the ghost stories. Breakfast was fabulous, the staff, I can't say much but high respect and kudos for doing a good job keeping the place beautiful, oh just a tip, you might meet a staff who will be generous enough to show some secret back door access to other rooms (not occupied of course). Highly recommended, period!

Excellent BnB walking distance from the harbor. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. You needed to specify which time you will arrive for breakfast (I'm guessing to eliminate overcrowding and inundating the chef). Rooms were nice - We stayed in C6 in the coach house. The coach house overlooks a somewhat busy street, but with the windows closed, it wasn't loud at all. Staff was great and helpful. 24 hour tea and coffee station in the main building.

A wonderful experience for us At Abigails. The service was top notch and a great location. The rooms were very unique with lots of details. My only criticism is that the beds were good but not great but everybody's idea of a great bed is different.
Overall this place is fantastic!

5 minutes walk from downtown, fantastic service, fantastic breakfast, the most pleasant experience I've ever had travelling independently with my partner. This hotel is absolutely wonderful and worth it; I may never stay at a different hotel in Victoria ever again.
