Looking for honesty and integrity by relying on the positive reviews and BBB accreditation of Absolute Insulation Inc.can be a very costly mistake. Things I wish I had known before trusting a seemingly friendly Shayne Dault:
1) Verify every assertion, especially unproven statements about the time it takes to complete a project (in work hours), the size of the area serviced (in square feet), degree of difficulty, and reasonableness of prices for labour and materials.
2) Seek transparency by insisting on the quote accurately reflecting all verbal conversations and clearly laying out the price calculations in detail, e.g, based on labour plus materials or dollars per square footage.
3) Check and confirm the services contracted for were in fact performed in terms of hours of labour, size of serviced area, and quality, incl.building code compliance.
4) Closely review the invoice for any inconsistencies.
5) If the scope and/or level of service are not delivered as agreed, pursue written explanations and ask for price adjustments before paying.
6) Insist on accountability and timely actions rather than mere promises of resolution.

Shayne and his crew were very good. They were also very informative and were on time and cleaned everything up. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get there insulation upgraded.

Shayne and Barb are great to work with. The Greener Homes inspector was really impressed with the attic insulation work, which is high praise, and results in a straight forward rebate process. I recently hired Shayne and crew to increase my attic insulation and would recommend them any time. Shayne actually went up into the attic and took the time to look at the entire space and then explained to me what he would do and why. And when finished, he went over everything that they had done. I am totally happy with their service and how really nice everyone was.
