Absolute Physiotherapy Clinic Burnaby

I have been blown away by Jignasha's skill and care. I had seen a physiotherapist in the past who wasn't able to help me, however, Jignasha has been absolutely instrumental to my recovery. Many issues that I thought could not be resolved she has been able to treat/improve.

After a super flopped experience elsewhere at another chiro place, where they took my nearly $800 and kept my orthotics (they made it wrong, and then by the time they got them rePAIRED, I had started my part time. So between full time and part time it simply wasn’t possible to get to them during their limited hours (I work before the open, and they are closed by the time I’m off work, and some days they are completely closed). So I asked for them to ship, said they wanted me to release them of any responsibility and consider it finished this transaction. But sight unseen and already made wrong once… I said no to the responsibility part, and then they ghosted me. Held my orthotics hostage and stopped talking to me so I asked Mastercard to step in. Got my $780 back.

Took my recovered money to absolute physio. Where I’ve actually had them done once and they were great, they fit perfectly, and I had them do my two pairs for 2023 benefits claims, and they even re did the covers of my original pair FREE, from them just a little over a year ago, which had started peeling after they got wet and the adhesive started to dry out (might of been the dryer sheets I tucked into the shoes to keep them smelling nice, it might of done something to the adhesive. Who knows)

But ultimately, the price here at absolute physio is not cheaper, but only slightly more, but it’s quick and done right. Between order and pick up was 2 weeks and they fit perfectly cuz they take molds of your feet not 3D Scans Like the other place did.

Well made pair can make a lot of difference in how your feet feels after standing at work all day.

Notes for anyone getting:
You should go get a referal letter from your family doc (for your insurance)

Get it done and file your claim, we learned from experience (the pick up receipt for some insurance companies need to actually say the words picked up x date) cuz a photo of you holding them wasn’t enough to clarify this for the insurance

For some you will pay first and then claim. So be prepared to be out of pocket a few weeks to even a month or more

Happy with my 2 new pairs and 1 repaired pair. Can’t wait for my benefits to reset and get more. Tired of changing them out of the shoes. Just wanna keep an insert in each pair of shoes.

I have been coming to Absolute for two weeks now, seeing Jignasha Vadi for a complex hip issue and in that short time this girl has performed miracles. I was struggling to even walk due to intense and acute pain and she is changing that. She is caring and competent, she listens, she is pleasant to be with and she totally works with her patients to bring about change and for that I am grateful!

I got into a car accident last month, I suffered a lot from neck, wrist and knee pain. Thankfully I got to see Dakota. He is very knowledgeable, patient and detailed. He provides very effective treatment and introduced exercises to improve my situation. With his help, my pain has improved. He is the best and I would highly recommend him.

I went in with some severe sciatic related pain, this limited my mobility and stopped me from playing hockey, and being able to walk properly.

I was referred to Plamen for my physio treatment, and boy was he a life-saver!

I had increased mobility and strength back within 2 weeks of treatment, and was back on my feet playing hockey in less then 6 weeks.

He also provided me with a ton of great information and training tips to not only help prevent further injuries, but to also improve my flexibility and performance when playing hockey.

I cannot recommend them enough, great staff, friendly reception and a very convenient location with ample parking.

I went to Physio with physiotherapist Denny Choi. We got along very well in a fun but professional way. He is very helpful clarifying the proper posture of given excercises.

I'd be open to doing Physio with him when the need arrives.

I visited Absolute Physiotherapy for my back pain. Jignasha has been a wonderful physiotherapist for me. The dry needling technique and focussed exercises she recommended, helped me get rid of the pain that I had for months. I really like her approach in first understanding root cause of the pain and then recommending treatment and exercises.

I have been coming to Absolute Physiotherapy since July 2022 after a recommendation from a friend. I've been receiving physiotherapy from Lillian Chung and she's been amazing. The specific treatment I've been receiving from her is IMS (dry needling) as my muscles get very tight after doing hours of office work and working out. She's always been able to appropriately diagnose which muscle groups are being effected and I feel so much better within a day after treatment. I appreciate that Lillian approaches her practice in a caring, personable and very down-to-earth and calming way. She's very efficient and competent and always friendly.

I received excellent treatment, from very friendly staff. Went above and beyond to help me heal even better and stronger than I was before my injury.

Had a problem with my left wrist. Doctor recommended I see a physiotherapist. First time using physiotherapy and didn't know what to expect. I saw Denny Choi a few times. Seems patient, professional and knowledgable. Taught me a few exercises to improve my wrist's strength. The condition of my wrist has improved since seeing him.

Plamen helped to change a cycle of injury for me that lasted 10 years! I had come to accept back injury was just an ongoing part of my life. He worked out plans and helped me get to a place where I could use my back again and finally be pain free. Thanks Plamen and the team at Absolute Physio!

I suffer from severe migraine and have been working with my family doctor and neurologist for a while. When the crisis couldn't be worse, Jignasha Vadi appeared to save me. She is the absolute best physiotherapist that I saw. All the professionals in the clinic are kind and helpful starting from the lovely girls in the reception.

Had insane lower back pain. Got to work with Plamen Marinov for 3 sessions and got amazing results. Highly recommend this place.

I injured my shoulder while at a climbing gym back in May 2022. I could barely lift my arm above my head initially which really bummed me out because of how active I usually am. When a few days passed with it not feeling any better, I found Absolute Physio and booked my first appointment.
Plamen was extremely helpful with establishing a game plan regarding exercises/stretches that were most beneficial to strengthening my shoulder and areas around it. Thank you for all your help and support, and for answering my many questions!
My appointments were something that I grew to look forward to, and it was useful to track my progress in my recovery. Pairing the exercises with the app was personally useful for me, as it made it easier to keep track of which exercises I have completed on which day, and how many sets and reps. The videos showing the correct form for each exercise were useful to refer back to as well. This motivated  me to incorporate  the exercises into my daily routine. Tracking my progress, and doing exercises that I enjoy helped me stay consistent in my program.
I really appreciated how functional movement was incorporated into my treatment program - it was realistic, useful and practical for everyday life. My overall movement + range of motion has increased significantly since my sessions with Plamen.
I'm so so happy I found Absolute Physio after my shoulder injury, and now I can continue leading an active lifestyle doing the activities I love to do without pain or limited mobility! I started seeing Jignasha for pelvic floor physiotherapy for a couple weeks now and she is definitely knowledgeable and helpful. She was very patient with me and and answered all my questions and was able to figure out the cause of my pelvic discomfort. I’m feeling so much better now. Thank you Jignasha!

I was experiencing muscle and joint pain in my shoulders and upper arms so I went to Absolute Physiotherapy. My physiotherapist, Plamen, checked me out first then and started treating me. He was friendly and knew exactly what treatment I required. In a couple of days I started feeling better and the exercises he asked me to do also helped a lot.

Maeve O'Neill is a super helpful and kind physiotherapist! She made sure all of my concerns were met and adapted our visits to any new problems that came up. Doesn't overwhelm you with exercises and explains what each one is doing and how it helps! 10/10 would recommend:)

I had bad neck pain from working too much on a desk. With 3 sessions with Plamen my neck pain was completely gone! He gave me some good exercises to do at home to improve my neck and back and some tips on how to prevent similar injuries.

Maeve is an absolute joy to work with on the recovery of my rotator cuff. She is extremely professional and knowledgeable as well as an asset to her company and profession. Maeve is the true description of a physiotherapist. Thank you!

Jignasha Vadi is awesome! We have been working on my chronic knee pain and she has methodically and persistently pursued all of the issues. I highly recommend her.

Rolled my ankle from a competitive volleyball game so I visited Absolute. Plamen is my physiotherapist and he treated me with great care! My ankle recovered faster than expected and I am able to get back to my previous level of muscle strength and balance pretty quickly. Highly recommended.

I have recently started pelvic floor physiotherapy with Jignasha Vadi. I have been in discomfort for over a year and this type of therapy was suggested to me by my urologist. I was having a lot of pain in my upper arm / shoulder from an old injury that never healed. Decided it was time to get it taken care of, I’d seen Thomas Okamura before and he helped that time so went to see him again. After two months I’m glad to report I’m well on the mend, no pain and I can once again do lateral raises. I highly recommend Thomas, he was a great help and easy to work with.

Jignasha is my physio therapist and she is a miracle worker! I have been working with her the last few months on some chronic shoulder pain. Even though I don't always do my 'homework', she is very patient with me and listens to my concerns and answers any questions, no matter what they are. I thought I would have this pain my whole life, but each time I go, I get better and better. As long as I do the work at home, too.

I also recently got rear ended and had a very sore neck and back. It was painful to move, even slightly. I had one session with her and it was at least 80% better the next day and she eased my worries.

It is sometimes nerve wracking having your body twist and turn and stretch in ways you didn't think possible, but I trust Jignasha completely!

I was suffering from sciatic pain for couple of months. It was really limiting my activities and even driving was not easy for me. I tried few sessions of acupuncture and chiropractic with no results.
So I wanted to try ims. I found this place online and I booked few sessions with Thomas Okamura. He carefully investigated the direction of pain and he gave me some exercises to do at home. He also targeted the source of pain and used needles on the right place.
I became better and better each time that I met him by performing treatment and exercise.
Now I am pain free from sciatica, I highly recommend him to anyone who has sciatic pain.

My 2nd time going to Thomas at Absolute physio, again it was a very good experience.had an accident and ended up with a pinch in the lower back, enough of a bother and pain escalades when I am at work. I had an ongoing shoulder issue that could no longer be ignored lest my martial arts training stop. I specifically asked for Thomas Okamura as he's also a judo instructor and I wanted someone familiar with the biomechanics of common martial arts movements. Thomas diagnosed and traced my problems to bad pushup form. My treatment went on for 8 sessions and consisted of needling/acupuncture, ice/warm packs, hands-on, bandaging, and finally correction and buildup. 8 sessions later, I was fully healed and able to continue onto my martial arts training. Thanks to Thomas, I know how to prevent this injury from coming back again. Well done!

I was apprehensive at first to see a physiotherapist for my back pain. However once I had treatment with Nasim I was very impressed. She helped relieve my back pain and was very knowledgeable and understanding. I highly recommend her for physiotherapy.

I had an work injury of wrist tendon and I had approached this clinic. It was a really great decision as they are really helpful and resourceful.
My physiotherapist was Nasim Delfaninejad. She was really knowledgeable and treated me really well. Her techniques and exercises helped me heal really fast. She adjusted the exercises and the therapy according to the response of my injured wrist to the treatmen. I will recommend Nasim 10/10

My family and I have been a customer of Absolute Physio for years. All the staff are fantastic and professional. Recently worked with Nasim who is extremely nice and knowledgeable and she made the exercises easy to incorporate into my daily life. I highly recommend her as she really cares about her clients.

Nasim was a wonderfull physio therapist. The treatments were both succesfull and comfertable. I came in with a pulled hamstring that prevented me from doing my job, I am now back to work with no issues and I am very gratefull to Dr. Nasim for her help. She was clearly very knowledgable and gave me some fantastic adivce for taking better care of my entire body, not just my injured leg.

When I first came into the physio office I was walking on a cane due to the pain in my leg, but after only a couple of weeks I have now returned to a very physically demanding worklife and have no pain whatsoever, I am very happy to be back and functioning properly.

Additionally Nasim is a wonderful person and I honestly looked forward to the sessions.

I've been going to Absolute clinic for a couple of years now due to different injuries I have had in the past, and Thomas Okamura has been my physiotherapist since then. However, for the last 8 months or so I have been actively getting treatment for my injuries due to a car accident. Thomas's role has been largely instrumental in my recovery. Thomas is very knowledgable, patient and really understands the end goal, and works closely on your progress, nothing more you can ask for. As part of my recovery I've also sought chiropractic and massage therapy sessions at the clinic and was very pleased with their services as well. I'd also like to give a shout out to the staff members who are working hard and provide an exceptional customer service. They will always greet you with a smile:) I for sure will be their loyal customer and would highly recommend them!

I came here to receive physiotherapy after a car accident. The staff here are super friendly and helpful, both over the phone and in person and the atmosphere is very positive and upbeat. My therapist was Thomas. Working with him over several months, I found him to be incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He even offers IMS therapy. Saw Thomas and Gizelle for back problems. They both did excellent work. They carefully diagnosed my problems and knew exactly how to fix them.

Had a great experience here! The staff are friendly and the facility is top notch. My physiotherapist Thomas, is very knowledgeable and was able to really help me recover from my knee injury!

I saw Thomas for physio on my shoulder. He was able to resolve my pain and get me back to my activities. Professional appointments and he used a handy app to give me my exercises. Front end staff are really pleasant too. I’ll come back if I have any other injuries.

5 star for Nicole's knowledge. She's very smart and knows what kind of interventions she needs to do especially for women's health. I highly recommend her. I also love the unit clerks are soo professional and nice.

I saw Thomas after breaking my fibula and tearing some ligaments in my ankle. 6 months post op I was already getting back into kickboxing full time. I highly recommend Thomas for any injury. He's a very knowledgeable physiotherapist, one of the best around.

The staff here is really great. It is a small office but they have everything you need to help you get better, with massage and chiro in the same office as the physio!
