Absolute Roof Solutions put our roof on 14.5 years ago and I was impressed with them then. As our roof gets older I have them come out in the fall to do and inspection and repair anything that is starting to go south. Greg and Kizy have come out the past two years. They along with Coby at they Absolute office are very easy to work with. I'll definitely be contacting them again next fall for an inspection because Prevention is key.

I was extremely happy with Gregory and Kiza's thorough work on my roof in North Vancouver. It was a concrete tile roof and they diagnosed the problem and came up with an effective plan of action to resolve the roofing issue.

We called Absolute Roof Solutions to help us with some missing and split shingles on our aging cedar roof. Their service and support people were amazing (David Trumble and Michael Van Stratten). David assessed the roof's condition and provided several repair options, including a complete cedar-to-asphalt roof conversion.

We elected to invest in a new roof. Gregr Hogaboam, our roofing sales consultant, patiently walked us through the various options. The sales experience was great. No pressure to sign, constant communication, and willingness to explore all the different options and answer any questions we had. At one point, Gregr even arranged for a temporary emergency roof fix after a shingle fell off the roof during a sales visit.

Once we had signed the contract, Vinnie Bastos, our project manager, was our primary contact. Vinnie and his team (Joey and the guys) did a fantastic job transforming our house. As with all major construction projects, issues always arise, and our project was no exception. Vinnie went above and beyond to manage our project and ensure we were happy with the result.

Believe the latter. The most positive spirit, and confident in his field. He genuinely truly cares about his customer. 200% Looked after my home from start to finish on applying a torch down on my patio decks and main roof. Until I was satisfied fully, he completed everything needed to make my family feel safe. We had rainwater dripping down between the fascia and gutter that was going on for several years, and no defects were found by the gutter cleaners. Greg and his assistant, Kizi, found the problem area immediately. The drip flashing does not reach over the gutter inner edge. Highly recommend them for your projects - knowledgeable and professional!

We did not have a good experience with them. We will not use them again and would not recommend them.

We called them because we had a leak that we wanted fixed. They came for an inspection and identified certain areas as the likely source of the leak. Then they came and did work on those areas they said were probably causing the leak. They were wrong. Then my wife and I identified a source of water ingress and told them. They came again (after we had to approve another estimate, in addition to the one already sent and approved for the previous visit) and did work in that area. They did not solve the problem. Despite not solving the problem, they promptly sent an invoice adding two estimates for the two previous visits.

Their estimates (before you approve the work) include the following sentence: “If, after we have completed a repair, you continue to have water ingress issues, please call us. Let’s work together to solve this problem. ” Based on our experience, we recommend that you do not rely on that sentence and not assume that Absolute Roof will propose reasonable solution (i.e, something other than a full roof replacement, which in our case was obviously not necessary, or additional visits for which they will continue to charge you even if they don’t fix the problem). That’s not what happened to us. I called and left a voice mail asking for a call back to discuss the invoice, as it was clearly a problem that we were being charged full rate when our problem remained unresolved. I never got a call back. Instead, I got an email suggesting that we replace the entire roof, and that any additional visits would be billed again (after three visits already…).

In sum, they did an inspection that did not identify the issue; they did not solve our issue after three visits; they charged us their regular rate despite not having solved our problem; they did not return my call or voicemail requesting a call to discuss the obvious problem of a full rate invoice for work that did not solve the leak. When I have a leak, I want it fixed. Absolute Roof did not fix our leak, and charged us over $1400 for their visits.

Absolute Roof Solutions put our roof on 13 years ago and I was impressed with them then. Recently we had a minor leak. I knew I should have been doing a bit of preventive maintenance (like on a car). Absolute sent Greg and Kizy out to check things. They found a small area needing repair. Normal stuff that always needs maintenance after 13 years. They did a great job of explaining the situation and giving me photos of everything. I have hired Absolute Roof Solutions to do the maintenance I should have asked for previously. I recommend them. - Erik

UPDATE: Greg and Kizy were back yesterday and performed the maintenance my roof needed. They gave me great photos of their work so I have some befores and afters now. I am NOT going to wait so long again. I will have Absolute Roof Solutions back in the spring to do a quick check. Prevention is key.

I asked around and found out that Absolute has a strong brand for quality. I didn't mind paying the premium even though I found cheaper options. While my roofing, balcony and leak issues continue, I must say that Chris (Senior Project Manager) is an incredible ambassador for Absolute. He is responsive, transparent and hard working.and most importantly I feel that he cares about my home and money as if it was his own. Absolute is lucky to have a team member like Chris and I am lucky to have Chris help us achieve a leak proof home!

Absolute Roof Solutions did a great job repairing a leak for us, specifically Greg and Kizy. They thoroughly explained everything in detail and answered all our questions and were extremely knowledgeable. They were very easy to communicate with, punctual and trustworthy. We had Gregory and his assistant replace shakes on the top ridge of our house, as well as seal a lower roof against the stucco of the house.
From the initial assessment to completing the job, we were very pleased and would recommend the company to others.

Gregory and his team did a great job cleaning our gutters. He also cleared out a piece of gutter that was blocked and spraying water when it rained. I appreciate his nice manner and good work.

Our strata hired Absolute Roof to do a roof repair on our building and it was a fantastic experience. Carlos did a really great job - high quality workmanship, everything was neat and tidy, very professional, on time and on budget. We just had our flat roof replaced with a new torch-on SBS modified roofing system. The replacement included: new roof and vent flashings, chimney base flashing with caps removed and replaced, and roof drains.

From the very beginning, Absolute Roof Solutions exceeded our expectations. Ken (the roofing consultant) was very quick to reply to our call; took the time to answer all of our questions and explain what our options were, and then promptly delivered a quote.

We felt confident proceeding with ARS, and are very satisfied with our decision to do so. Stéphane (the project manager) was very diligent and attentive to details. He listened to our feedback, and did everything possible to ensure we would be 100% satisfied with the end result. Having previous experience in construction myself, I was impressed with the quality of the work completed, and am confident that our new roof will last far beyond its expected warranty.

On top of all this, we were pleased to find that the crew kept the workspace clean at all times, and that the completion of the project was as minimally disruptive as possible. Overall, we would not hesitate to hire ARS again, and highly recommend their services.

Carlos and Julie came to see our problem. It was a free inspection which I wasn’t sure how thoroughly they’ll check. It was supposed to be just for 30min. But Carlos and Julia was very thorough checking all the details and they even pulled out the membrane to check if any water mark was left. After checking everything he put it back in a better way making sure that no water can get in. It was something I wasn’t expecting to be done and I was thankful. Now, I know what’s the cause of the problem for sure.

When it came time for a new roof we asked around and the consensus from friends and neighbours was that Absolute Roofing was worth checking out. So we did and we can sincerely say that the experience with them was wonderful. From our first meetings with Ken to sort out the price range, to the completion of the job, their professionalism was great! Kudos to Stefane, Justin and Daniel for making sure we were satisfied with the job. Installation, cleanup and communication was all top notch! We have already recommended them to others!

It included the design and installation of a new ventilation system, partial re-sheathing and re-roofing. Ken, Stefan, Justin and Dan were professional in every step of the project. Absolute Roof Solutions just completed the roof replacement on our home. I'm delighted to say that every aspect of my involvement with the company-from initial quote to final cleanup and walk-through-has been extremely positive. Ken responded to my request for a quote. In that and in overseeing the job he was professional, courteous, and happy to answer my questions. It was a tricky job that could have been handled in more than one way and Ken outlined the pros and cons of the options in a way that made making the final decision straightforward. Moe, the job foreman, was very professional and made me feel comfortable with what would be happening each day. The crew members were all very nice. They left the property tidy at the end of every day and their final cleanup was very thorough. I was impressed that Ken personally checked in with me every afternoon to see how things were going and to answer any questions. The new roof looks incredible and I'm very happy with it. I initially had a roof leak and got several estimates done as I feared the winter season with rain and snow would be cause major issues before the spring time when I originally planned to get it done. Ken was very responsive to our needs and worked out a great price for what was provided that out did all the other estimates. He was very professional and easy to talk to and provided me with much knowledge about roofing and what was needed and what was optional. I had lots of questions and "what if we do this and not that" scenarios that affected the estimate and he went through and provided different scenarios/pricings for me. After signing, the crew was ready to start work in about a week. When Justin and his crew arrived, they started work on things and were done in about 3 days. Justin and his crew were very friendly as well and answered some questions I had. I got updates on how things were going each day when I inquired on it. A clean up was done each day as they moved and swept up areas for walking. At the end they removed all the debris from the walkways, deck, and lawn. I am very satisfied with Justin's crew's work and cleanup. I have to mention that it was a cold 3 days with temperatures near zero. Oh I forgot to mention that half way into the work, I talked to Ken and Justin about getting a bathroom vent installed as the original hose wasn't venting the bathroom air out of the house attic properly. It was dealt with immediately and now I have a properly venting bathroom fan that won't leave moisture in my attic. A separate invoice was done for that at a reasonable price. I'm happy with the response and flexibility on this. Anyways, after the work was completed, Justin did a roof video with a small drone which he said will be sent to me later. I thought that was very cool. The next day Ken came back to do a final inspection of the work done and all in good timing as it snowed about 2 days after the work was done. I would totally recommend Absolute Roof Solutions to anyone needing a new roof.

Wow! I called the emergency line at about 1: 45 pm and talked to Garth. I explained to him that our roof was leaking and if they could come look at it. He asked for information, told me what the minimum amount would be, told me what the options would be and then advised me that he would be able to be at my place between 3: 30 - 4 pm. Not only was I not expecting them to be available until much later or even tomorrow but Garth and Carlos showed up exactly when they said they would. They went to have a look and said they would need to tarp it but then realized they didn't have enough wood. So they did one area, then left to get more wood and came back to finish getting it done. They were friendly and efficient. Their service was great and they didn't leave any garbage behind. Truly impressed with Garth, Carlos and Absolute Roof Solutions. Highly recommend calling them in an emergency but hopefully unlike us, before it gets to that stage.

On a very rainy day we had two leaks spring up. I called here and they were out at my place within two hours. Quote provided upfront for the emergency fix on a Saturday night, reasonable price. Garth came and fixed one. The second one wasn't a roof leak at all, but Garth the technician still took the time to look and make some recommendations. He took time to give some advice about dealing with the moisture in the house too. Booked him to do the permanent fix and I am confident we will continue to be happy.

I would be wary of hiring Absolute Roofing. We have a standard 3 foot by 4 foot skylight that had a drip at the top edge (a problem with the roofing / flashing not the skylight). We agreed to pay $175 to arrange an estimate for this job.

The company quoted us a figure of over $2700 for the repair. The work described involved removing the skylight and resealing with flashing and shingles. The estimate outlined the scope of the work but did not itemize the cost of the materials (which are minimum as part of this budget) nor did it reveal the cost of the labor. When I inquired about how many hours of work were involved, it was suggested it would involve two workers providing one day of labour (which translates into16 man hours of labour - which seems very generous). However, even if you accept that this job is going to take 8 hours to complete, the hour rate works out to $300 + per hour. This seems outrageous.

Luckily, I found an independent roofer recommended by a friend. He found the source of the leak and sealed it up in about 30 minutes for the call out charge of $200.

Absolute Roof did a great job on replacing a flat roof. JP was involved from the beginning when he first inspected the roof, provided the information to make an informed decision, followed up on the work during the project, was responsive to any questions and concerns that came up, and ensured the finishing work was completed. Thank you JP, Doug, and the crew for all the work that was done to make the building water tight!

I had this company replace my roof years ago. Each fall, my roof leaks. My floor is getting ruined, and the multiple leaks are disastrous. Gregory Scrimbit has come by to do nothing except tell me 'there's issues up there'. Do not hire this company! I'm a single mother with an adopted boy, who requires a great deal of my attention, not to mention my long work days at home. Beware of this company. The owner doesn't care. I'm preparing my lawsuit!

I had Garth and Carlos replace the chimney flashing and surrounding shingles yesterday and I am happy with their work, their professionalism and pleasant personality. I hope that the repair work they did will help stop future leak around the chimney base. I would be happy to recommend them and the company to anyone who needs to have roof repair work done in the future.

We used Absolute Roofing on 2 different occasions. They were professional, knowledgeable and did quality work both times. We would use them again.

Had Absolute Roof Solutions make some temporary repairs to my roof after some damage. Great service from initial call to completion. Got to my place within 24 hours and repairs done.

Will need a new roof next Spring/Summer and will be contacting them!
