We had Accutemp remove an old fuel oil boiler furnace in our house and install a new mixed ducted/ductless heat pump system. They were friendly, professional, punctual and great to deal with. The final invoice matched the original quote. We're super happy with the job they did and have no hesitations recommending them to others. Highly recommended!

Accutemp installed heat pumps and ductwork for my residence and did a great job. When there was a question of heat uniformity throughout the house after the installation, they came back right away and made adjustments that fixed the problem. They were professional, performed good quality work and responsive. I would not hesitate in hiring them.

March 2023 Review - 1.5 Years after our installation
We now have quatifiable and verifiable metrics for the benefits achieved running our heat pump 24/7:
1. We have reduced our annual hydro costs by 48%
2. Our investment will be returned in 5 years
3. The comfort level when heating has much improved
4. The Air Con mode significantly reduced the number of unbearably hot summer days in our upper level bedroom area
November 2021 Review - Our electric baseboard heating was replaced with a mini split air source heat pump. Awesome! Over the past two weeks and since the instllation was completed we have already reduced our Hydro consumption by over 50%. The overall increased heating comfort in our home is also a BIG bonus.

These folks installed two Daikin heat pumps. The advice around providing heat/AC to the two spaces was sensible, the installation was smooth and professional and the heat pumps, when they work are great.
The first heat pump failed before the first year and due to a hard to detect pin sized hole in the outside unit, it took quite a few visits and a lot of research on their part to detect and correct.
The second unit failed before Christmas 2022 with the remote listing many error codes. I totally get that there are huge staff shortages in Victoria and that waits can be long. The technician when he finally arrived diagnosed the fault on the indoor head and then the wait for parts has begun. As of now the part "may" arrive on February.
I've know there are supply chain issues, but these are new units so one would think that parts availability should not be a problem. Having to purchase space heaters that ran for 4 months last year in the lower suite and now for a few months in the upper suite seems to defeat the purpose of a heat pump.
As well there was a $280 cost to have the technician come diagnose the most recent problem. I understand that overheads are steep and in Victoria it's a struggle to keep staff. My problem is with the ability of the manufacturer to support their products. If these units are costing this much in down time and diagnostics I have to ask if it was worth it in the end. Maybe I should have just installed portable heat pump/AC units. Of course the same product fails and flaws seem to be rampant with all appliances. My Turkish tenant says this level of failure does not happen in Turkey. I suppose my only comment would be to ask when deciding on a product is: "what level of support does the supplier have for their product. " If I could separate the ratings I'd give Daikin a zero and Accutemp a 4.

I had a relatively small repair done to an exhaust fitting. Loads of hidden charges and ended up costing me $400 for maybe an hours work. Ask up front before committing!

We had a heat pump installed by Accutemp and the process from start to finish has been easy and handled in a very professional manner right from the initial phone conversation through to the install itself. You can tell this company has high standards in every aspect and cares about the needs of their customers. 1000% recommend.

The most important thing to convey about our experience with this company is the abysmal communication. We did get a pretty fast quote initially with Andrew and had set a date for installation 6 months down the road in April.
Once that day came, Andrew did let us know on the Monday we had to be pushed back 3 months, to July which was not ideal, but understandable given an alleged parts shortage. The second time around, on the day of installation, we got an abrupt email in the morning about half an hour before they were supposed to be at our house, canceling and pushing our date back to November. We got no explanation. Furthermore, we essentially missed getting the system we needed for the extreme summer heat.
Andrew did process a fast refund of our deposit, which we appreciated, but he certainly does not take feedback well as you can see in his responses to customers. He makes many excuses about parts, and yet we knew of other people who had received quotes and systems much faster, similar parts to what we needed. We got a quote and installation (Daikin) from another company (who also had exceptional communication along the way) very quickly after we canceled with Accutemp. This company also showed us that Andrew’s system would have disqualified us from getting grants. Andrew refutes this point, but given the abysmal communication and overall disappointment in his company, I can’t say I take his word seriously.
