I want to thank Ace Trades for inviting me to the Campus today to meet a few of the students that just finished their electrical course. Ace trades is doing a great job of training new workers and getting them prepared for their future in the electrical field.
Keep up the great work.

They (the school) have been disorganized, a lot of confusion arose, and unsure about when the employer panel is going to occur. A few weeks ago, we asked the instructor about it and he told us that he’ll give an update next week. That next week came and he said the same thing where in he’ll let us know when he gets an update. Last week was when he finally had an answer that the employer event is held on September 13th. Then we received an email this week that it will be on the 19th. The next day, we received another saying that it would be on the 20th. With that being said, I’m surprised that invitation emails to potential employers weren’t sent out yet when we only have less than a week to prepare.

One more thing, the admissions lady said that we get to decide which employer we would go for but because she was incomprehensive of the english language, she screwed me over the other employer who offered me a job. Now, I’m having a problem because I haven’t heard from that specific employer, while my colleagues are getting responses for their requests and questions. More over, she was pushing the other employer who also wants to hire me, but that job and company does not correlate to the program I took. It doesn’t make sense for her to choose my career path when she’s not me and she’s definitely not my mom.

Low budget, lack of materials, no proper PPE used during practical trainings. We were not taught tool safety, how to handle tools, how and where to step on a roof, and how to lift heavy items properly. We were never taught how to identify which tool to use, whether it’s metric or imperial to screw and unscrew bolts. During practicals, the bolts were getting stuck because we were using the wrong measuring unit for the tools. We were taught conversions but not regarding which system of units for measuring to use in a job.

They say that putting a review on their school website is optional but then they will come after you and demand for a review. It doesn't make sense! The school staff (not the teachers) cherry pick on students. They don't know how to take criticisms. If you point out where they went wrong, they will simply walk away and not let you finish the conversation. They want to take a video testimonial from you and if you say no, they would question your decision. Being filmed is something that students should be willing to do and sign a waver form, consenting the school to film students. The try to make a point out of something where they have nothing to back them up or proof.btw the teacher was was great and has bought us food out of his pocket.

This college is the textbook defenition of shady and sleezy. Take it from me i used to teach the structured cabling program, and now ive been replaced with a guy who by his own admission has never spent a day! In structured cabling the fact of the matter was when he was hired, the school required me to train him during after school hours, in hands on practicals, such as teaching him how to make terminations, mind you this is only 5% of the trade, be aware of Sagar he is about as knowledgeable as you are if structured cabling is the course you plan on taking. Not knowing i was training my replacement he is now teaching students using my content, tests and exams along with slides. Dont believe me? Ask him to install and deploy 5 hikvision ip cameras with a Hikvsion DVR and he will spend 9 hours trying to figure out how to make the connection between a BNC and an RJ45, this is a very rudimentry comprehension of low voltage security CCTV systems something all low voltage techs must know in the industry.or just ask him his back background in low voltage and he will aggresively deter you from prying into his "qualifications". He probably cant even teach some of the chapters i used to cover in the program because they are most likely to advanced for his understanding e.g security zone wiring, something that is fundamental in security systems hence the name " structured cabling & security systems"!) False advertisement to the max. Do yourself a favor save 50% of your tution and go to BCIT security systems technician training if you want a real education. Atleast there you will get hands on training in alarm panels, cctv, access control and structured cabling.

Nice college, very friendly and helpful staff and teachers. Easy parking and location. Working on my certificate right now and looking forward to a great result after the training.
挺好的学院,老师和工作人员都很友好给力,位置好找,停车不难。我正在此求学考证,希望能有个好成绩和就业前景。

BE careful trusting these people they promise you seat in upcoming course and then cancel the course date last minute leaving you no option and total waste of time. My experience was so bad and upsetting.they made excuses not to lodge my student loan application for 4 weeks.then only to tell me that they have canceled the course.

The staff are friendly, great place to complete the electrical courses, Nadine is very knowledgable and Mike is a experienced journeyman. Comparing to other schools, you will reach your goal faster here.

Very poor administration. This is school will just decide by themselves and move the students class schedule without any notice to the student.

Donot Take Classes from this place. This institution is a scam. I enrolled in a Red Seal ticket class. And guess what? Nothing from what they taught me appeared on the exam. The staff was untrained and she offered poor instructional method

Great alternative to BCIT's code refresher.
Supneet is an absolute beauty - to the point and easy to follow with good energy.
Kept me engaged every class even though I did the course virtually.

This place is a scam… they email you asking for your SIN # “for tax purposes”. You shouldn’t have to provide such sensitive information for their benefits…

Update: After seeing my review they called me asking to remove my review. When I refused, she indicated that their servers were “hacked” and her job was on the line.

A fresh and latest version of Ace trades and Technical Institute is the new face of technical community college in surrey.
Ace community college has its roots planted back in 90’s by a visionary woman named supneet chawla who i have admired and later acquainted with. So when i learned about her new venture, I couldn’t resist but to check it out as well.
So here is a glimpse of Ace community college.
1. The college offers electrician levels training and Red Seal preparation just like BCIT does
2. It has huge classrooms for lectures and workshops for the practical part of the courses
3. Well qualified and industry special instructors.
4. In- house english learning and first aids course school.
5. Well equipped kitchen for students and staff

Good trades program will be offered in surrey at our very own scott road. To start with electrical trades followed by plumbing and the vision is to include all trades. So, don’t go far but Come, join for level 1,2,3 or just prepare for redseal exam. They have it all

Best school and teachers. They help everyone with any course. Very helpful and willing to stay after class to help you understand your course. They can help with tutors. Also its a 8 week course not 10 so you finish fast and you can go back to work with a raise on your hourly wage.

Great school, with an excellent approach to a mixed class. I was able to adequately learn everything I needed for my level 1 electrician common core online, with the option to be in class as well. Clayton Underwood has been an excellent teacher and has done his best to give us all time as individuals. The last week we we're required to be in class for labs, and I had a great time doing that as well! Would highly reccomend this school. The price is a little bit higher than others, but it beats the hell out of sitting on a two year wait list.
