Ace Western Motel

The mattresses were heavenly so much so that we didn't wake up with bad backs. The maps directions were way off bc it has u turning into a driveway at the tennis courts (there isnt one), we had to turn around, go back to the round about, but then there was no sign pointing u to the motel, turned into the Old Caboose Pub to reach the motel. Better signage with directions is needed. We arrived late at night in the pouring rain.

I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to Rachel and DJ. I am an anxious older sister and I was helping my younger sister book a place to stay overnight with her two bunnies for her drive from Vancouver Island to Edmonton and back. They were both so kind and so caring and helped me with the entire process for both trips. They even offered to stay after the front desk closed to make sure she could safely check in.
You don't get people who care this much these days.

I know there are comments here about the cancellation policy but that is truly just life. Every business that offers a service has a cancellation policy for a reason and it's incredibly difficult to book an open spot after the 24 hour mark. I know emergencies happen (heck, we had to deal with one on the drive back) but try to extend some kindness.

Unexpected stop over after a long day of driving. Nice rooms, front desk staff friendly, a little over priced.

Ok so it's a budget motel so don't expect it to look like the Ritz Carlton. Having said that the AC worked, beds were comfy, with bath, fridge and microwave. No plates etc though which was a bit tricky. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Location was fine and not too noisy but we were at the back away from the highway.

Rooms are ok. Clean but outdated.
Rachel is very sweet and helpful. Owner is nice.
The prices are quite high considering you can stay at a hotel in Clearwater that's newer for the same price.

We had Two rooms booked for a motorcycle trip. Due to the Highway through Edson Alberta being closed because of wildfires we could not make the trip as planned. Called the owner 32 hours ahead of time to cancel & he would not budge & still charged us full price for the rooms. You would have thought he would understand the situation because of the fires. We & our friends will never book here again. To the owner (thanks for your lack of compaction.

We stayed here as a family of three and this accommodation was perfect for our overnight stop en route from Vancouver to the Rockies. The two queen sized beds were very comfortable indeed, the coffee machine microwave and fridge very welcome and the shower was hot. The manager was friendly and welcoming and in the morning kept us informed of a local power cut which lasted only an hour. Typical motel accommodation with rooms accessed from outside. Nothing fancy, but everything we needed. Great accomodation.

Very clean and comfortable. None of the normal musty motel smell when first entering room. Lots of hot water. Friendly and helpful

Nice hotel. Close to a good restaurant. Very friendly staff/owner. Very helpful. Unfortunately no breakfast, but opposite there is a nice breakfast restaurant

I booked 2 rooms and had a group bail on me prior to arrival. They made me pay for both rooms since the cancelation wasn't within the allowed timeframe.

Well, that's one way to make a bit of money, but I won't be coming back.

Now, if they waived the cancelation penalty (which is equal to the room fee), I'd stay here every time I'm in town. But apparently, that's not their business model.

So I won't be coming back.
