Adventure Tofino

Had a great time, saw lots of wildlife including bears, seals, sea otters and eagles. Jeff was an awesome guide.

Small family business, friendly and highly customer oriented!
We were on a trip with Jens on Okt. 01st. Normally a trip lasts 2-2,5 h. After 2 hours we have only seen a manatee, see lions and an eagle nest but no bear. Our skipper Jens was as disappointed as we were and extended the trip to a river mouth but again no bear there. Then he got the information of a bear spotted far away. After clarification that no one on our boat has later dates Jens extended the trip again, drove to the place and we saw our first bear. But another tourist boat did't respect the wildlife, sailed nearly onto the shore and so the bear disapperared into the wood. On our way back we saw a second bear but again the other tourist boat was there and again the bear disappeared immediately. But Jens assumed the bear only crossing the headland and appearing again at the opposite bay. So he extended the trip a third time, circumnavigate the headland and actually the bear turned up there. Jens shut down the motor at once and we slowly drifted into the bay while the bear approaches towards us on the shoreline. So we could observe him for 15 min and it was a great experience. The whole trip then lasted 3,75 hours instead of 2,5 hours - they try everything to satisfy their customers. Thanks a lot to Jens and his team.

Loved everything about this tour. Saw whales, sea otters, seals, birds, and beautiful scenery. Our captain/guide, Jeff, was terrific - very knowledgeable and thoughtful. A great experience.

My partner and I did the whale watching tour with Adventure Tofino and it was by far the highlight of our trip! We saw Gray whales, Orcas, Humpback whales, Sea otters, seals, bald eagles, and puffins. It was fantastic! Our guide, Jeff, brought us to all the right spots and gave us a lot of time to watch the animals. The boat ride was in itself a very exciting experience. I've never been in a boat that fast!

Nous avons fait le "Bear Watching Tour" début septembre - c'était superbe! Notre capitaine nous a fait navigué entre plusieurs ilots, paysages grandioses puis nous avons pu prendre le temps d'observer 2 ours. Les commentaires du capitaine étaient hyper intéressants (et pas des commentaires bateaux style Wikipédia), adaptés au contexte de l'ile de Vancouver.

Captain Axel was our private guide for the ultimate adventure and he truly made this tour the best part of our trip! He is very knowledgeable in the wildlife and area and helped us see some amazing parts of the area and identify the wildlife. Highly recommend this tour and Axel especially. We caught crab to eat that night at the restaurant! Thank you Axel!

Fantastic experience, fully worth it. Our guide Ron was very knowledgeable and super friendly, he really added to the tour. Would totally recommend taking the zodiac whale watching tour. The small group really enabled the guide to be attentive to each guest and pass on a ton of info.

Had a fantastic bear watching tour with Jeff as our captain. We saw at least 8 black bears down at their beaches looking for crabs, it was amazing seeing them in their own habitat and approaching them fairly close from our Zodiac while Jeff explained all about them and other wildlife, highly recommended!

We booked this tour the day before we did a day trip to Tofino, so it was great to be able to book something last minute. We had a full boat and the crew prepared us with exposure suits and even had an option for my young daughter that would keep her warm and dry.

Once on the boat we saw that visibility would be challenging. We had fog and grey mist as well as ocean swells. Despite that Jeff knew where the hot spots would be and took us to various places to see Harbor Seals and Sea Otters.

Turns out that no one had luck that day with whales, but they lived up to their promise and offered a reasonable refund for the majority of the tour. I would have gone out with them again if we were in Tofino for more than the day.

Make sure you give yourself time to deal with the construction on the only route into Tofino, which can be significant.

We had a fantastic time with Adventure Tofino whale watching! We got to see gray whales, harbour porpoises, sea otters and harbour seals. The tour guide on the boat was great at explaining the sights and history of the places.

We had a brilliant time, Jeff our tour guide was brilliant, very informative, showed us loads, not just whales, I would definitely recommend going on a tour with them!

If you’re looking for a good wildlife tour, look no further. We were guided through a fun romp of Tofino wildlife which was unlike anything else I’ve ever seen. Too bad we only saw one whale but you know, sometimes that’s just how it goes. Despite that, our guide Jeff made it a great and informative trip on the sea. And we got to see all kinds of other wildlife (otters, sea lions, eagles) which did not disappoint. Jeff kept it interesting the whole time with a keen understanding of the local history of the region and its ecology. Felt safe and secure the whole time. Some tea at the end at their HQ was a nice finishing touch. Would go again in a heartbeat. Thank you to Jens and Jeff for a killer time.

We had a first rate experience on our wildlife tour. The booking experience was easy, the owner was very accommodating with check-in, providing information about the tours, and day-of explanations about their process and expectations on the water. Jeff was our guide and he was knowledgeable, very chill and an expert zodiac captain. I am nervous in motor boats, especially when it gets windy and he was fantastic. The tour was never rushed, we had ample time viewing wolves, whales, sea otters and sea lions. The amount of wildlife seen far surpassed our expectations. Jeff also shared cultural information on nearby First Nation communities and cultural sites that were in the vicinity of the tour. It was a fantastic experience.

We did the 3h whale watching tour and it was just great. Riding the Zodiac is a lot of fun. We saw some maritime wildlife and a whale of course.
Our guide Jeff told us a lot about the local environment and made our tour an amazing experience.
