After eating their food. My stomach feels really bad. I was staying in toilet for five hours to let all food leave my body. Omg

Food seems to have gotten better over the last year. Usually come once every 2-3 months. Value and taste has improved. Good job!

Server told us to be back in 10mins.and she'll have a table ready for us. (Didn't take our name or number). We came back 10mins later and she was giving our table to someone else and just gave us the 'sorry look'. Ridiculous service.

This place is delissio not delivery. It's also priced very reasonably and the staff are so nice. The eggplant side for the combos is DA BOMB!

Suggest you make a reso as they are quite busy.

Was affordable. But the lunch special I had was 0% afghan. This is more like a donair place and palaw and meat tasted like generic rice and meat you get from donair places. Mantu was just a little good, but far from the food you get at afghan restaurants in Surrey.

So it was okay. But nothing about the food I had was Afghan

Drove all the way from white rock to explore our own afghan restaurant. The guy “Ahmad” who claimed to be the manager was the rudest I have ever met. He not only refused to serve me “lunch special” that I really wanted to try, saying 5 minutes past 4: 00 pm. I mean I understand 5 minutes are passed the lunch hour but you would expect a decent customer service and offering an alternative. You would least expect to be left out hungry in an Afghan restaurant where that is almost the only halal option in the area. You could be serving good food but if you lack integrity and respect to your guests then you have nothing to be in food business.

Day and night difference between richmond and surrey location. This is by far the superior location with great food, service and ambience. Love it!

Solid food with great flavours. The chicken and steak were well seasoned and very tender. I enjoyed both dishes but for the price, i do wish that each one came with a bit more meat. Otherwise, we were satisfied with our meal.

Firstly i'd like to say the food we have here is always very tasty and I could not fault it this time - good as ever. However the young man who is our server was quite rude and for no reason I could see.

At the bottom of the menu it says - please enquire about substitutions - an extra charge may apply. We did just this for a family combo - and asked for the kebabs to changed from chicken to some of the better kebabs - understanding of course that there would be a price increase. He said, rudely, that they don't do it. So why, I have to ask, do you have this specified at the bottom of the menu?

Secondly after we ordered, we received the wrong order - instead of the kebab we ordered (not being able to go for the family meal) we were brought a combo instead, with more rice than we had the ability to finish - and a significant additional cost to the meal.

Finally I have to say that the attitude of the server is not one of mutual respect or even courtesty - he acts as if you are taking up his time and energy. Admittedly we arrived at 8: 35 - but last orders are at 9 so I see no reason for the attitude.

All in all great tasting food, sour service, no admission of incorrect order, no correction of the charge. I do hope they level up their customer service because I would love to eat here again. I might try again, but not any time soon.

Great portion sizes for the price, we pretty much ordered half the menu - the food was excellent. Beautiful atmosphere with traditional decor.

I ordered Afghan Qabli pilaf, but what he brought me didn't resemble Qabli at all.
This restaurant is named Afghani, but there are no Afghans working there, and they don't serve authentic Afghani food.

Not only was the food unsatisfactory, but the interior of the hotel had a foul smell, as if the meat was spoiled. However, the hotel staff showed no concern regarding this matter.

So a couple of weeks ago i visited this restaurant. There was a young boy there at the reception. The restaurant was hardly occupied and i requested if i can sit on the sofa. The boy denied my request saying that the manager might get upset if he gives a single person a sofa as the sofa is meant for 2 people minimum. Later i learned the boy’s father is the owner of the restaurant and that the boy is the boss as well. So the boy could have been more clear about his identity and being the boss could have accepted my request. Secondly if the restaurant is almost empty why not accommodate a request from a customer rather than citing some silly excuse. So i believe this restaurant and its people lack integrity. Yesterday i went to this restaurant again and again the same young man attended me. He told me that the kitchen is closed. On enquiry he told me that the kitchen closes at 9 pm and the restaurant closes at 9 30 pm. This time the restaurant was almost full and i was there sharp at 9 05 pm. If he wanted he could have accommodated me but he didn’t. You can have great food but if you and your staff don’t know how to treat your customers then you’re the most lousy place WILL NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE AGAIN

Lunch special takeout was good. The rice is especially good. Staff was friendly. Parking available on site.

Authentic afghan breads, meats & meals. Great lunches & combo. Busy place, quick service.

Authentic, family-run Afghan restaurant. I've been ordering from Afghan Chopan ever since I was a student when they graciously offered student combos. I really appreciated having a healthy, affordable and tasty meal. An Afghan coworker had also recommended this as the best value Afghan restaurant around. I agree. I particularly love the kebabs. The spinach and eggplant side dishes are yummy too.

Amazing, fresh food served at this family run restaurant. The food is authentic Afghan cuisine. This is my go-to place every time I am in Vancouver. The staff is courteous and the food is reasonably priced. Definitely try this place out if you are in this neighbourhood.

Absolutely amazing food! Everything was cooked so well, the portions were very large, and the service was excellent! Great value!

Food is? It’s short of a star just because of prices. A little too high in my opinion. Overall though, I highly recommend.

They’re very good at grilling tender cuts of meat, and the flavour is there, but this particular location makes their food very salty.

When it just arrived it comes with a hair.
Don’t know if it is about culture. I think there is no point of eating green leaf vegetables like this, I rather eat uncooked raw vegetables.
They don’t charge tips though.

Must try the chicken skewer combo, it is so tender and juicy! Comes with naan, rice, a side dish, some yogurt and chutney. Big portions and affordable. Service can be a bit slow but worth the wait. We have become regulars here!

To the managements, your staff constantly closing Uber eat app, when I call them he says “ Uber eat is open and have a great day” is like don’t call us or sth

I recently had the pleasure of attending the Iftar buffet at Afghan Chopan restaurant and I must say, it was an amazing experience! The restaurant was immaculately clean and the ambiance was very welcoming.

The food was absolutely delicious and there was a wide variety of options available to suit every taste. The quality of the food was top-notch and it was evident that the chefs put a lot of effort into preparing each dish.

The customer service was also exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive and made sure that everyone was well taken care of. However, I must mention that the cost per person was a bit on the higher side. But considering the quality of the food and the excellent service, it was definitely worth it.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Afghan Chopan and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a clean and welcoming environment.
