Our flight was cancelled because of their technical issue, so they advised us to book a hotel for one night and assured reimbursment upon uploading the invoice. However despite following their instructions, they eventually declined to cover the expense. It was quite disappointing! Do not trust Air Canada customer service!

Out of four scheduled flights only one was actually made, with a delay of course! All others were cancelled or delayed so much they made us miss our connection.

Then they moved our paid for seats and I was not able to sit with my travelling companion.compensation will not be enough

Every flight ran out of baggage room too! Put less people on flights or make more storage space!

One star is too generous! But I can't go lower

The Air Canada gestapo was heavy-handed checking carry-on bags to make sure they fit. Of course mine that I always travel with did fit, but they had to make a big show of how important they were. Absolute garbage employees.

I am currently sitting on an air Canada plane about to take off. With that being said, going through the last gate to get onto plane I encountered an extremely unprofessional woman. She was rude/mean, when I asked her questions she treated me like I was a complete idiot.
After getting upset I asked for her name. Which she refused to give me.
I travel every 3 months. I will be continuing to fly with west jet moving forward. Along with the rest of my family (father was present for this occurrence)

An airline run by amateurs. Total embarrassment.

New check in process has lasers measure carry on bags to see if they fit… except… it’s totally inaccurate. They measured my bag and machine said it was too big. Except then it fit easily into physical bag size checker. Dumb and a waste of time.

In their effort to speed up boarding, they will just cause delays due to garbage processes and tools.

Exceptional service. Our flight experienced mechanical issues. Air Canada went above and beyond upon arrival in YVR. Arrangements were made on rescheduled connecting flights, hotel, ground transportation, and airport restaurant vouchers. Thank you for a job well done.

Most horrible and not friendly boarderline rude customer service at the us side customer service for the family

We originally had on Thurs Air Canada cancel the flight so we switch to leave a day early. Then the flight we had changed time.

We got to airport early trying to see if we can get on earlier flight. The agent he was so rude and not helpful! “ there is no standby list” “ there is no standby by or wait list”

I don’t think I will fly air canada again. I will stick with United

We Both husband and wife,once experienced a valuable experience that I will never forget along my life, that is when we flew back to Indonesia from Vancouver via Hong Kong by Air Canada with a joining flight of Cathay Pacific to Kuala Lumpur. On the afternoon of the departure day, we checked out the room earlier and left the hotel for Vancouver Airport, hoping to report to the Air Canada counter on time. After arriving at the airport and waiting until the moment of check-in time, for several times the counter clerk couldn't find our names out in passengers list in their computer to checked us in. I thought she might have dozed off at midnight, and asked her to check it carefully. It turned out that she finally found out that we were already delayed and reported late, and the plane had already taken off at 00: 30 in the far early morning. How shocked I was at that time! How can this happen? It turned out that I, who had no experience in taking off at late midnight or far early morning, mistakenly reported it at midnight the same day of departure date, for we should have reported at midnight yesterday. Fortunately, there was a counter supervisor who took over this case immidiately. She showed her noble character dedication in the service industry, tried to understand our non-humanly intended mistakes, tolerantly allowed us to check in and board the plane, solved the problem for us, and avoided a huge money lost crisis and the economy doomed. Thank you, ma'am, I will never forget the kindness you have done to us. Bravo ma'am, wish you good health and have a prosperous days always. Bravo Air Canada, wish you being a best airlines in the world.

The absolute worst airline flying today, don't fly aircanada
Never fly aircanada. I wish I hadn't, now after this experience I never want to fly again after 45yrs of travelling this is by far without a doubt the worst airline in the world today. Very disappointing

Flew air canada on my first flight got stuck on the tarmac for over 3hrs and almost immediately recieved a $400 voucher. On my return flight It got canceled due to my plan was given to another route do to mechanical problems. I've been stalled ignored and basically told I get nothing with no explanation. We need more competition in canada let more airlines operate in canada. I'll never fly with this worthless airline

Watch out for your credit card, I gave mine to the counter to pay for checked in baggage and 20 minutes later someone tried fraudently to buy 500+ using my card. I had to cancel my card and get a new one.

My flight (AC182) was cancelled and Air Canada rebooked flights that are arriving one day later with no other compensation. Worst airline I've ever seen handling flight cancellation

Everything good at the check-in, but their luggage scale was off by 2kg. Having to throw things out because of that is a terrible experience. Make then double check the weight at the check-in counter to match the other airport/Air Canada scale.

I had an excellent experience with Air Canada on my recent trip to Japan. I had booked an itinerary that was kind of ridiculous (Vancouver to Tokyo as the final destination, but my itinerary had me flying to Tokyo.but then out to Singapore and Malaysia for some tedious layovers before going back to Tokyo) because it was somehow the cheapest option when I was booking on a budget. I resigned myself to some tedious travel.

When checking in, the agent (Yuriko, I believe?) expressed some concern that I had so many strange connections before landing back in the same place, and explained that I needed to be careful because if I missed any connections I could get stranded with no return flights. I think she saw how nervous and anxious that made me, because after I walked away I suddenly got a call that turned out to be from an Air Canada supervisor who reassured me that they talked with the agent and would be helping me cancel all the weird connections without jeopardising my return flight.

I was ecstatic - such a weight (and dreaded unnecessary layovers!) lifted from my shoulders, and for something I hadn't even asked for! Super appreciated Yuriko taking the initiative to help out and her supervisor for doing a kind thing from her end. It really helped me start my trip on a good foot and gave me some precious extra time with my loved ones in Japan.

And they arranged for me to sit in the emergency row with extra legroom, to boot!

Waiting to board a flight to London. We needed the help of the Air Canada special assistance team after my wife injured her knee skiing. Air Canada team (Alexandra and John) at Vancouver airport were simply brilliant helping with wheelchair support and navigating all the departure processes. Big thank you.

Do not waste your time with this airline. Choose literally anything else. I flew back from Shanghai to Vancouver with a connection to Edmonton. The flight AC026 was delayed for 2+ hours due to.nothing? Rumours were that they combined another flight and luggage was too full? The pilot also did an absolutely awful job of navigating turbulence and making up for lost time. Maybe it's his first time flying but the passengers shouldn't be paying for that. Anyone with a connection to another city completely missed their flights. However, somehow the attendants at the terminal were worse than everything above. No one came to collect and help the passengers that arrived. Everyone was just walking blindly towards security/check bag area. The Chinese female attendant there didn't know anything and formed random lines with the passengers. Lines plural because there were 4 lines at one checkpoint and everyone received conflicting information about rebooking their flight. This was bad enough until 2 extremely rude male attendants showed up and started screaming at the confused passengers who just wanted to know where to go. They kept saying they didn't know anything and shouted for eveyone to line up.what at which of the 5 lines that formed? They also kept accusing the passengers of blocking the path when people were a) not blocking anything and b) going where the Chinese attendant told them to go. Why were the male attendants even there? Just to show up and yell at rightfully frustrated passengers? Some passengers were able to find the correct check in area thanks to the very helpful Korean attendant. However I can't speak for the others who were directed to the baggage claim area. We arrived to rebook our flight to Edmonton at 2PM and was forced to take the flight back at 11PM. Our original flight time was 1PM. There were 2 other flights at 4: 35PM and 7: 30PM which had many available seats. We couldn't be booked for those flights for reasons I can only guess. Maybe because it was more convenient for that flight to fly with more people so they get the most for their buck. The most callous, unprofessional, and greedy airline I've seen. Please don't give $1000s of your hard earned money to be treated like dirt.
