They certainly go to bat for you, first year - New plane (1946), New Tail pilot, Tail trainer would not train me on it without right side brakes but I did have a very competent tail pilot to train me and most insurance companies would not accept that and Caleb got it done for me. Second year is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, quote went up substantially and when I asked for a no hull coverage quote it was crickets I got back until I sent a competitive quote from a different broker then they were able to beat that one.

Very poor service as a broker, I saw a 53% increase on my claims free hangar policy (inclusive of their fees) and they did not even search other options (underwriters) when the increased quote came in. They sent the renewal 6 days prior to expiry not giving me time to find other options. I thought brokers were suppose to work for clients to find best rates, not just auto-renew and collect fees and commissions!

I was recommended Air 1 by my flying school as my first choice of insurance after buying my first airplane. I was happy and relieved to find out it was a easy process, fair price and great service! IT made a first time purchase an easy process.

Air1 went the extra miles when other companies would not. They where able to find me a policy that suited my aircraft despite the limitations and circumstances of having an extremely uncommon aircraft.
