Beautiful temple but very unorganized. Attended the wrong wedding due to lack of signage in English. Not impressed! They are too busy making money off multiple weddings and more concerned about the donations. So many poor seniors all lost and had to get up during the ceremony to attend the correct one. Shame!

Yesterday I went to eat at Akali Singh Sikh Society for the last time. I'll explain why. I am mental disability and live near this temple. It is sometimes difficult for me to cook, so it was a good opportunity for me to go to this temple every day to eat once in the evening. But I went to the temple only for about 10 days. All these days, I showed respect to everyone by wearing clean clothes, washing my hands in the temple dining room before eating, and wearing a head scarf while eating. About 4 days ago, when I wanted to supplement myself, the worker hit me on the arm and said that I was supplementing myself. After that, I had a fear of putting myself an additive. Who let him touch me? Yesterday was the last day of my food, because the worker humiliated me, when I came up with a tray to put food for myself, he said: "Don't come every day. " At the first moment I was in shock, I did not believe that I was hearing it. This is a temple, a person wants to eat, and they drive him away like a dog. When I asked him how many days a week I can come, he answered only two days. Because of my nationality, they told me this, because I am not from India, they told me that I could not come every day. I want to ask the workers of this temple, are you not ashamed to refuse food by nationality? You live in the multicultural country of Canada, where there are many nationalities and people must respect each other regardless of nationality, and you do not respect the laws of Canada. I can't call Akali Singh Sikh Society a temple because the temple will never refuse food to a hungry person regardless of nationality and your organization is a racist organization. If someone wants to be humiliated and feel like a dog is asking for a bone to eat, then welcome to Akali Singh Sikh Society!

Excellent experience. Easy to find, lots of parking. Beautiful landscaping. Nice place to sit, quiet, even though right next to freeway. Services inside very organized.

The Akali Singh Sikh Society in Vancouver is an exceptional place of worship and community. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with warmth and hospitality. The society's dedication to preserving and sharing Sikh traditions is evident in their informative workshops and educational programs. The vibrant and peaceful atmosphere within the gurdwara is truly inspiring.

I visited today at this very nice gurudwara first time as we just shifted here at Rupert Street and it is nearest gurudwara sahib. It was so clean and we got internal peace when we listened gur bani path. The Langar was so delicious and langar hall was also so cleaned. We have not seen any gurudwara sahib in Vancouver well maintained and so beautifully managed by management. Will visit again whenever we wish to listen gurbani path

Beautiful Gurudwara. Delicious langar. Peaceful and one can feel closer to god since it doesn’t distribute material that causes distress to devotees. It stays away from Politics!

Poor Gurudwara staff (at least the Langar Hall ones). Did not feel welcomed here.

I am an avid traveler and love to visit various Sikh temples around Asia and in Canada.
The langar hall staff in this particular Gurudwara were very unwelcoming, giving you as little as possible and as if they didn't want you there. They were too busy on their mobile phones and your presence obvious annoys them. They make it known by long sighs and throwing your plate on the kitchen table.

My advice, visit other Gurudwara (Sikh Temple) in Metro Vancouver. This temple's staff just isn't welcoming and they seem to have forgotten the Sikh teachings of accepting everyone of different faith, beliefs, religion, origin and ethnicity.
