My husband and I required assistance from Alair Homes North Vancouver for dealing with a building structural matter.
Throughout the process, Chris Black demonstrated a high degree of professionalism and an exceptional level of knowledge. He was flexible with his time and is a great communicator, helping us understand our options and at all times managing our expectations of the process.

When we decided to alter the inside of our house I randomly chose 3 Contractors and Alair stood out as being particularly organized and transparent. And so they proved to be.
They helped with our design and then served as our contractors who supervised the entire reconstruction. They kept us in touch with the whole process and advised us when there were decisions to be made in terms of value for money.
Chris Black and Peter Merhabian were delightful to work with, and all their sub-contractors were hard working and courteous.

The more I meet with Chris at Alair Homes, the more I am more impressed. He helped guide me through the steps that are often the most stressful parts of construction. He was great at educating me so that I could make the right decisions. Chris' ability to manage complex building problems allows him to diminish the risks commonly found with building a custom home. We were looking to renovate our kitchen and contacted Alair Homes. Chris and Rich were quick to schedule a meeting and when in our home adhered to all safety protocols because of Covid. They spent time going over our needs and answered all the questions they could. We were very impressed with their thoroughness, knowledge and experience, as well as how they followed up with us after the initial meeting.

Unfortunately, we decided not to go ahead with the reno's at that time and therefore could not use their services further. Thanks again to both of them and recommend you don't hesitate to contact them for any of the services they provide.

During a very stressful situation selling my home, I turned to Chris from Alair Homes for advice. Not only did he provide an in-depth professional opinion he showed an amazing amount of compassion and understanding regarding the situation. Even without any financial commitment from myself, Chris went over and above to provide options I could take to better equip myself in making the decisions to resolve the situation.

Last fall we embarked on a renovation project to redo our bathrooms, basement and flooring to make room for our second child. After speaking to several contractors, we chose Alair North Van and we're very happy with our decision!

With a baby on the way, we had a strict timeline for the project and amazingly we finished on time. We also really liked Alair’s budgeting process which includes online access to your budget status and approval of any changes from the original plan. This really helped us sleep at night as we knew there would not be any big surprise bills at the end of the project.

Chris. Rich and our Project Manager Peter do lots of planning and consultation ahead of the start of the project which I really think helps ensure success. Additionally, they were responsive and great at communicating which is so important to us. We love our reno and it’s going to great use considering how much time we’ve spent at home this year!

And, even though the project is over, the Alair team has been regularly checking in, and have even helped us coordinate a bit of work that was out of scope from our original project.
