Excellent staff! My 99 yr old mother was very worried about a tooth extraction. Dr Myers and staff went above and beyond to be gentle and ease her mind.

This appointment was for my 94 year old mother, the staff were excellent and treated her very good, dentist was excellent.

I'm not a lover of dental visits but the girls have been amazing. The dentist and the assistant obviously had respectful one another and respectful me as a patient. They were conscious of my issues and concerns and professional in the execution of there duties. We all laughed and I sweated a bit lol.

Never knew a two hour root canal could be enjoyable ")

Dr. Myers is the best dentist I have ever had. His level of care and integrity is truly amazing. It is becoming more and more rare in this day and age finding doctors who put their integrity first and foremost ahead of profits, especially in the dentistry industry. I don't even live in the province anymore but I come back to FSJ to see Dr. Myers for my routine check ups or if I need any dental work. That shows you how much I appreciate Dr. Myers and how special I think his level of care and integrity is.

My visit was an excellent experience today, I was taken in immediately to my appointment, my dental hygienist explained everything she was doing and why. Dr Myers was very professional and explained what my exrays showed and what needed to be done.

Dentist came in for a checkup & pointed out a small chip in a tooth that she said I could get fixed if I wanted. That’s why I love this clinic, they don’t push unnecessary things on you, unlike my last dentist.

Dr Myer’s and the team at Alaska hwy dental are always wonderful! Lindsay my hygienist is great. I have been going to Dr Myers for years and he has always gone above and beyond for me.

Dr. Shih and Taylor did such a great job! Very gentle even though my teeth gave them some challenges. I’m so thankful for this clinic and to have this level of care locally.

It's been awhile since I've been to the dentist (not my favorite place on earth) but I had a great hygienist so I won't wait years to go back.

Dr Shih is by far the most amazing dentist I have ever had. I have such a fear of getting dental work done, and her comforting demeanour helps tremendously. She never makes you feel bad about asking for something to relax you, and does her absolute best to make you feel at ease.

I always enjoy conversing with Nikki! Nikki is very professional, but more importantly, just a great human-being!

Went in for a cleaning and their hygienist is so gentle. It wasn’t at all like other hygienists I’ve been to in the past she explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions.

Was treated very well, staff is helpful and kind. They really care about your dental health plan and what's best for you.

I'm very anxious at the dentist but Dr Meyers and Candice are so patient and helpful with my anxiety, and were also able to do several fillings with iv sedation. Let me tell you, that was awesome! I was still anxious coming in, and a few times during the procedure, but way less than usual! I also think I may have drifted off a few times, and the memory is very calm and dreamy. Definitely worth looking into if your anxiety has kept you away for too long!

Very professional, cleanliness is immaculate! Staff are very kind. Happy I switched dentists. 10/10 recommend if your thinking about booking a appointment.

The team at Alaska Avenue is amazing, from the front desk ladies always smiling, to the hygienists and dentists doing everything they can to make you comfortable as can be. I'd give 6 stars if there was the option to!

Fast, efficient and professional. Sometimes feels like a normal day when in the chair. They are friendly and talk with you. They make the appointment go by very fast. Always leave there feeling great.

Staff are friendly, don't have to wait long, and all my questions are answered. When you have an emergency and need treatment, they help, and get you treated and referred right away. I am blessed for the fast referrals and treatment i received when i had a bone infection two years ago, and the additional referrals and treatment recently with my jaw bone again. Thank you for everything Dr. Shih and all the wonderful staff!

Dr Shih is the most kind, efficient, and gentle dentist I have ever been to. She worked hard to ensure my experience was the best and helped set any anxiety and fear to the wayside during my procedure. Highly recommend!

While dental visits are not my favorite, Alaska Avenue Dental makes it positive. Love that appointments are on time, friendly efficient staff. Dr Meyer takes the time to explain needed work and the options.

Alrighty, I'm going to be brutally honest here - the dentist is still not my favourite place to be, BUT Alaska Avenue is hands-down the best dentist I've ever been to.

Before Alaska Avenue, I was pretty close to needing sedation for the simplest of procedures; my fear and anxiety of needing to be in that chair was that bad. I would dig my nails into my palms hard enough to draw blood, to distract myself.

At Alaska Avenue the hygienist and dentist care about your pain and your anxiety. They take time to explain procedures and give options. When I call the front desk they sound pleased to talk to me, and want to help. I honestly cannot say enough good things about the whole establishment.

So while I wouldn't choose Alaska Avenue as a vacation destination, I no longer break into a cold sweat at the thought of dental work.

Bad toothache on a weekend, and they made the time to get the meds i needed for relief, and seen me on that Monday. Thank you for the help

After years of dentist related anxiety, Alaska Ave has completely resolved any doubts I had. Dr. Myers and his staff are fantastic every single time.

Dr Shih and Nikki the hygienist are TOTALLY AWESOME! I was super scared that I would need braces or retainers but so far I do not require them. Both Dr Shih and Nikki have went above and beyond to answer my questions and concerns in regards to the health of my teeth. I am glad that I am their patient as I feel I am in very good hands. I love how both of the ladies ask me how I am doing during my appointments and make sure I am always comfortable. Dr Shih and Nikki, YOU BOTH ARE TO THE MOON AND BACK AWESOME! (This is Tyler by the way I'm sorry I haven't legally changed my name yet lol!)

Love the text message notifications and reminders in a normal world, but now with the need for social distancing and more rigorous sanitation, Alaska Avenue Dental has knocked it out of the park. Their text service has changed with the times, has instructions on texting that you’re “here” and to wait in your car until you’re notified to come in. They send a Covid survey that you can fill out while you wait. They adhere to strict protocols for entering and leaving the building. They’ve always been amazing, with friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere but they super-impressed me today. Thanks for the nice clean teeth and see you in 6 months!

My favorite dentist clinic in town. Every staff member I have talked to or come in contact with has always been pleasant and kind, as well as compassionate. I appreciate their attention to detail and recommendations, as well as the clean and calm atmosphere of the clinic. I will be coming here for years to come.

Really good staff all around. Good text reminders for appointments. Super clean and modern facility. Probably the best denitst office I have ever been to after living throughout BC 30+ years.

I am so thankful for Dr. Shih and her staff. This winter I had a tooth bothering me and I was booked in promptly and treated with the utmost care and professionalism. Dr. Shih has such a caring and gentle approach backed by dental skill and ability. I give this clinic the highest recommendation!

Long story short, I had a lot of mouth & head pain and ended up needing x2 separate emergency tooth extractions, one at the beginning of the week and one again today. The reception ladies that I talked to on the phone both time’s were polite and SO accommodating, they pulled some strings and got me in as soon as possible (which I am forever thankful for)
& Dr Meyers is amazing. He is extremely informative, friendly and does great work.
