Which depresses me as it was so good and I came here a few times a year.

It isn't a Mexican Restaurant. It is Indian Cuisine. Having expected Mexucan we dined elsewhere.

Beautiful place. Service was a little slow, and substitutes/changes are not as easy as other places.

We were looking for a dog friendly patio and the hostess let us sit where our dogs would be in the shade and out of the way of other patrons. Friendly service, food portions are massive

I'm not someone that generally writes reviews, but I feel I need to based on my experience at Alebrijes. Food was mediocre at best. I lived in Arizona for over 20 years, grew up in the restaurant biz as a child, and know a few things about food and customer service. Our friendly waitperson was either very new or incompetent. The questionable management also didn't follow through with what is on their menu. If it says that the entrees come with "rice and beans, " that's what's suppose to happen. My suggestion is to go next door to Abrades' Kitchen.

I went there tonight for the first time and I was really disappointed with the food quality and how expensive everything was. $26 for 2 prawn tacos? ! And super annoyed that the 3 taco option was only available with 1 flavour option even though they offered 3? Why wouldn’t you want people to try more of your product? I ordered the chorizo tacos, it was dry and crispy with little semblance of actual sausage. I will not be going back.

5 star service, delicious food, and great energy within the restaurant. Decor on point and many artifacts from Mexico to complete the Mexican vibe

I recently visited this Mexican restaurant and was disappointed with the quality of the food. While the restaurant was expensive, the food was charred and burnt, which made it difficult to enjoy the meal. My dining partner and I both ordered vegetarian dishes, and unfortunately, both were burnt.

Unlike in US, there are no free chips and salsa coming to table. Fajitas are $34! $18 gets you three tiny tacos! Over all it is super expensive.

The burnt flavor was overpowering and made it difficult to taste any of the other ingredients. The blackened edges of the vegetables were unappetizing and made the dishes appear as if they were not prepared with care.

Despite the burnt food, the service at the restaurant was good. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant. However, the food quality greatly impacted the overall experience.

In summary, while the location, service and ambiance of the restaurant were good, the burnt and charred quality of the food was disappointing. Given the high price point of the restaurant, I expected a higher quality dining experience, and unfortunately, that was not delivered. I hope the restaurant can improve the quality of their food to match the standards of their service and ambiance.

The food was amazing. I especially enjoyed the guac haloomi appetizer. Fajitas were also delicious. Very pricey tho. $150 for three people no alcohol. Great views

Tried this restaurant twice. Both times we were met at the door by a fairly friendly staff member who ended up being our server. Pleasantly asked us if we would like to start with drinks. We did. First round, fine. As an appy we ordered the Ceviche. Probably the best Ceviche we've ever had! Unfortunately that was where the good experience ended. The main entrees were just meh. Pretty bland. Where was the sauces? The young server returned and asked if we'd like another round. We accepted. And then we waited.and waited. And when the drinks came my partners double margarita was now a single (she was not drunk btw). We then over heard the only other table complain about the quality of the food.

Overall, Alebrijes is not a bad restaurant. It needs a few tweeks here and there. Better attentive service, and improvement in food quality (real Mexican?) and perhaps better decal (ie/ Primos next door) and this place will nail it.

Many times here and we always enjoyed their food. We enjoyed the appetizers to our main courses. Service is great and everyone was very pleasant and hospitable. We will surely be back.

The food was good, the decor fun and the view wonderful. The service while not terrible can use improvement and finesse.

Food is sooooooo good. Al pastor tacos and enchiladas were amazing. Try the spicy or mango margarita! Really happy to find this gem.

Amazing staff and amazing service! Every staff member treats you like gold and makes sure you have everything you need. Great food, great view, great drinks, great music, I can go on and on. This is a must experience for all those in the White Rock area wanting traditional Mexican food. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Would absolutely come again.

My tacos were so salty (beef), I told the waitress, and nothing. She said she'd tell the kitchen. My husband's tacos (pork) were at least edible but nothing special. Our bill for 2 adults and a child (chicken and cheese quesadilla) was $90. We chose this place cos the reviews are good but I really don't understand how, maybe we were just unlucky, but its an understatement to say I dont recommend. I understand mistakes happen but to do nothing about it poor restauranting.

Mexican food is very hard to find, but this place is delicious! The mole rosa was Amazing and the people is very friendly

If I could give it 6 stars I would. The food was so unbelievably amazing, the restaurant was nice and cozy, and the girl serving us, Vanessa, was lovely and friendly. A d the tequila list is more than impressive. I wish I lived closer, so I could come again.

First time at this place… def will not be the last time! The food was absolutely delicious- best Fish tacos I’ve ever had! The food, ambiance, location & service were all excellent- highly recommend!

Food is damn good. I feel like they're struggling to find servers. Servers are great but need more on busy days.

Best Enchiladas Verde I have ever had! Came out of the kitchen piping hot and just the right amount of spicy flavour + pair it with a Margarita on the rocks, 10/10 perfect meal. Highly recommend!

I love coming to eat here, such homely/authentic food! Definitely my comfort food and the ambience is so nice. My favs are the ceviche and al pastor tacos!

Authentic Mexican restaurant in White Rock. Second time here and we always enjoyed their food albeit the wait. We enjoyed the appetizers to our main courses plus their churros, one of the best. The location is near the boardwalk and a good view of the beach too. Service is great and everyone was very pleasant and hospitable. We will surely be back.

The food and the atmosphere are definitely Mexican. Authentic, delicious Mexican food, the best along the White Rock restaurant strip in my opinion. But it’s really frustrating their random opening hours. A group of friends were planning to have some drinks and a late lunch at this restaurant last Friday. According to their website, it’s supposed to open at noon on Fridays. We dropped by at around 1 pm and it was closed. We were told that they would open at 3 pm. We were back at 3: 20 pm and it was still closed. We ended having our party at the Ocean Beach restaurant instead, and it was pretty good actually…the Alebrije's management needs to realize that they are in Canadian time and the way of doing business here is different They are still in time to correct it to be either way, a successful business or just another White Rock restaurant casualty.

It’s a little expensive but the menu is the best. I recommend Tacos in general with a beer!

Great authentic Mexican food. The tacos and everything else were fantastic. The patio seating with a view of the ocean is unbeatable and the service was great. Would recommend if you’re looking for food in the area.

Absolutely fantastic! Enchiladas Verde and prawn tacos were incredible and the ceviche is so fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this place to anyone!

A big beautiful taste of Mexico! The Mole Alebrijes was very tasty and the patio Iliad wonderful views and great people watching. The Mango Margarita pairs well with everything on the menu.

Tried this place out tonight with my wife for our anniversary. And in a time when travel is restricted I really appreciated sitting on their patio with the sun on my face, margarita in hand and excellent Mexican food. Made me feel like I was on vacation.

Service was good and server was nice, but the food was disappointing. My friend and I ordered the nachos, and they just did not taste good. They didn’t come with beans, guac, or salsa. We ordered guac and beans in the side for extra but the nachos still weren’t too great. It would’ve been nice if the menu mentioned that the beans were refried, because we were expecting them in “regular bean form”.

The food was seriously the best Mexican food we have ever had! The Enchiladas were amazing, the fish tacos were incredible, the Chimichangas were huge and absolutely delicious, the pineapple and rib burger was delicious and we are excited to come back again. It was seriously the best food we’ve had in a long time! Thankyou!

Extremely friendly staff and authentic food! Everything is so delicious, but I especially love their tacos and margaritas! They make their own sauces too! Beautiful location. Don't forget to wear sunscreen on the patio!

There was a communication issue that was not the restaurants fault. As soon as they heard about it they were quick to help us out and we placed our order to take home. We were lucky enough to try 4 types of tacos from their menu. All four were delicious. Our top 2 favourites if we had to choose were the brisket taco and the steak taco. We will be going back again.

Oh my gosh, this place was outstanding. The food was *terrific* and our server was really nice. The refried beans are amazing and the ambience is super great for a date or a casual hang out with friends. They're doing a great job as far as covid restrictions and I plan on returning! Thank you.

Would have preferred my pastor to be a little bit more 'street' but our health department probably wouldn't be too happy with that so decent restaurant it must be.

They have to die for Birria tacos (IYKYK) and are the closest to great authentic you will find in the area. Once they get their liquor licence if they keep doing things the way they are this place’s momentum won’t stop I guarantee it.

This is a fantastic place! We had amazing service from Diego and everyone working. All the tacos were delicious and filling, and the pineapple/mango pina coladas are a must! Definitely going to be our new favourite spot in White Rock!

My wife had the Mole and I had the prawn tacos (not on the menu, so ask for it). We shared the ceviche Appy. All were terrific. As a bonus the sangria she ordered pre-meal was layered, so it looked amazing and tasted great as well. We will definitely go again. Insider hack: if you order for pickup, avoid Marine drive craziness and pick up in the ally, bit you have to give them a heads up first.

Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely restaurant in White Rock! On my first visit, my friend and I had enchiladas verdes, mole, and the impossible cake. They’re absolutely amazing: savoury, flavourful, and fresh. I don’t usually eat desserts but I definitely loved their impossible cake - loved the cajeta so much! Everything just blends together. I was there again yesterday and had enchiladas verdes, beef dip tacos, tres leches cake, and churros. The dip was really good. Their servings were quite filling so I had to take the desserts home, but ate them home and was still very satisfied. They never disappoint. I can’t wait to be back again. They’ve got great and wide selections of food and drinks so if you’re looking for great food, great service, stunning view, and a warm and welcoming ambiance, I highly recommend visiting this beautiful restaurant.

Super delicious food! We had tacos, enchiladas, piña koladas and chocoflan for dessert. Excellent service and atmosphere. Definitely worth the drive to White rock. We will be back soon.

Service was great. They young lady that was serving us was very attentive and sweet. We where the only ones there though.
Food was ok, but there was no booze lol. I wanted a mexican beer with my meal, no liquor lisence yet which I understand but we weren't told this till we sat down.

I just ordered takeout from here but it was some of the best food I’ve ever had! Will definitely order from here again and I’d love to dine in soon as well!
