Adam is a fantastic instructor! The real-life scenarios made it easy to understand the material and it was way more engaging and fun than I expected. I would recommend the Standard First Aid course to anyone as the skills learned could come in handy at any time.

Took the first aid training as part of the EFA course. Brandy and Rylee did an excellent job teaching it, with a very dynamic and entertaining teaching style! Couldn't recommend more!

I did OFA 3 at Alert First-Aid Inc with Nikki back in October 2022. Even after six months, I still remember her tune reminding the class to check for blood clot blowouts! Nikki has an extraordinary ability to keep you engaged with the inherently dry material written by WorkSafeBC. I will definitely return to Alert First-Aid for recertification, and any other certifications I may need in the future that they happen to offer. (Also, the folks in the office are incredibly helpful and kind, so shoutouts to Germaine and Minami! Apologies if I spelled your names incorrectly-I don't believe I ever saw them written.)

Brandy is an excellent and engaging instructor which kept the class focused and interested. Highly recommend this course as instructor related personal anecdotes and provided great feedback to the students on their learning.

Work signed us up for OFA1 certification, and I braced myself for a dull day. Well, with Adam, it definitely wasn't! He keeps it interesting, has a great sense of humour, and I'd be afraid to be a friend of his to end up being one of his many real life stories. Brandy ended up being there too and I am confident that she also runs great classes. Was nice to have her chiming in with even more knowledge and examples.

Had Brendan as our instructor for EFA-C and he was great! Very personable and had a great handle on the material.

Samah, who taught our FoodSafe Level 1 course on Saturday, February 11th was great! She did a really good job of mixing the videos with reading through the course booklet and some hands-on activities. She made the course interesting and answered our questions well. Thank you, Samah, for making this a worthwhile and informative day for all of us attending the course.

Brandy did a terrific job teaching the coursework. She was informative and added some comedic moments to lighten the mood.

I had Adam as an instructor today and his enthusiasm and scenarios helped keep my attention focused. I appreciated his patience and also his his flexibility with teaching in a variety of ways - roleplaying, speaking, and writing on the board. This helped me cement the information I retained from the online portion of the class that happens prior.

This is my first time doing first-aid CPR training, and Brandy is a great trainer:)
She’s friendly, and encouraging, moreover, it wasn’t complicated learning CPR because of the way she teach us in a fun way.

Took the Red Cross Standard first aid and level C - CPR renewal course with Rory as the instructor and really enjoyed the experience. Would definitely take another course with Alert and would recommend to anyone looking to take first aid course.

Jason is a really interactive teacher, has good experience and high skills and delivered a really good program. I have been taking courses from Red Cross including water safety instructor, OFA I, OFA III, and CPR C certifications through the years and he made the course fun and enjoyable.

Sometimes you get an instructor that isn’t that interactive and doesn’t bring a lot of humour to the course. This one was fun.

Rory was a fantastic instructor! Usually these courses can be boring but Rory made it enjoyable. I found him extremely knowledgeable as well.

Just took OFA level 1 with Adam and it was great. Very engaging teacher and I feel confident in the skills he taught me should a situation ever arise. Thanks Adam!

Did a re-training for Naloxone and it was great. Pretty comprehensive and engaging. Lots of hands-on practice. Rory was a good instructor!

Rory did the recertification for our Medical Clinic this week. It was super interactive and we learned lots with laughs.

Over the weekend I enjoyed the opportunity to pursue some professional qualifications with Alert First. I took the remote first aid course led by Rory B. Of the many professional development courses I have taken as a teacher, I can say this was at the top of the list! The course was hands-on and offered an collaborative learning experience that was thorough and engaging. This was achieved with the excellent guidance of our instructor Rory, who did a seemless job of blending theoretical learning with practical, realistic scenarios designed to put our learning into action in a fun and informative manner.
He was able to engage each participant with sincere and in-depth instruction above and beyond the overall course learning outcomes.
His friendly and heartfelt commitment to ensuring our understanding is commendable.
I’m looking forward to my next course with Alert First. Thanks

I attended the Remote First Aid course last weekend. Rory is a very competent instructor who goes above and beyond to ensure that we will be able to confidently handle most first aid emergencies including heart attack, stroke, broken limbs, drug overdose and being able to stabilize a patient with back injury, to name a few of the many emergencies one may encounter. Anyone who hikes, kayaks or backpacks into remote areas should take this course. When you register ask that Rory be your instructor as he will make learning this subject matter fun.

I really enjoyed the Standard First Aid course with Adam as the instructor. He kept us all engaged with interesting examples and on our feet with practice scenarios.

Rory was awesome! I felt more than capable to deliver life-saving assistance after taking a BLS course with him because of his excellent teaching skills. This hands-on class flew by because it was so interesting and fun!

My wife and I took a basic first aid course for a teaching gig. Adam was our instructor and made it a breeze. He told good memorable anecdotes that help you remember and He custom tailored all of his situations to peoples life experiences and lines of work who are attending the class.

If he still works there when I need to renew in three years, I will definitely take his class again!

Took my Marine Basic First Aid and CPR with Adam a couple days ago and it was fantastic! He did a great job of making a pretty mundane course as interesting and fun as possible. I'd recommend Adam and Alert First Aid to anyone needing any sort of first aid training!
