Great little Greek restaurant with absolutely delicious dishes. Highly recommend the fried calamari.

Me and a friend went to Alexandra’s and enjoyed the Greek platter for two, it was delicious! We got to try all the best Greek dishes from the restaurant we got it with the calamari but it also comes with the choice of moussaka which I will for sure try next time! The chef was super friendly and kind and even came out to our table to check how everything was which you don’t find very often anymore. The servers were also all very kind and personable. I would recommend this place to anyone in nanimo!

Alexandra's has been the best food I have eaten by far since I've moved to Nanaimo! Everything was amazing and you can tell they out all of their effort into the food they make. A+ all around!:)

I love this restaurant the food is amazing same as the service the staff is kind an helpful this is saganaki on the appetizer menu it’s a Greek dish that’s fried cheese with olive oil and lemon juice one of my favourite dishes definitely worth a try

Such a wonderful place! Food is amazing, we love dining in and their takeout is so incredible too. The portions are great and they treat their customers so well.

Didn't have very high expectations walking in but everything turned out to be amazing! The food took a bit long to arrive but was totally worth the wait, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, interior was really nice and cozy and the music was great! Definetely coming back!

This was our first time at the restaurant and it was pretty good with exception of the Chicken Souvalki. Not sure if it was over cooked? But it tasted kind of mushy, perhaps it was an off night not sure. The cheesecake however stole the show. It was light and fluffy and one piece wasn't enough lol. I had a wicked craving for Greek lemon potatoes and theirs really hit the spot. The customer service was outstanding. Very friendly and pleasant to chat with. I would try them again in the future to see if the chicken is any better. We found the pricing was very reasonable with the amount of food you got. We were beyond stuffed haha. Thanks for the lovely service we received. Overall a positive first experience.

Have had takeout a few times and it’s always so good! The people on the phone taking the order are so bubbly and friendly, the food is so flavourful and HUGE portions! They also made our calamari when we got their for take out so it didn’t get soggy (only takes like 2 mins!) and I thought that was great

My daughter is in her mid twenties and we have been going to Alexandras since she was a little girl. The Moussaka is fabulous and so is everything else. Alexandras is a special little gem and the staff and ower obviously get along and treat each other well, which is imprtant to us. We're so pleased Alexandras survived the pandemic. Each time we have gone in we have been greeted and treated with warmth and excellent service.

I went with 3 other people and all of us loved our food. The service was fast and great and our server was very accommodating with all our requests. It felt super safe since everyone was wearing masks and all the tables/ chairs were bleached after each use.
I had the, I believe, the Vitello Marsala and it was to die for! I order this dish every time I come in, which is a lot lol. My boyfriend had the Bombay Mango Curry Prawn and he was stuffed! So many flavours and such a unique pasta, you would not be able to find it anywhere else in all of Nanaimo. The other two had the Greek Platter and there was so much food! Left overs for the next day! They said it was the best in town and we have have tried all the greek places here. They also brought in a cheesecake and baklava yum!
All in all, would recommend everyone to come in and try at least once!

Touring Canada for the past few months and this by far is the best food we’ve had. Lots of choices on the menu and very generous servings. Bobby the owner is so nice and welcoming.
Had calamari for appetizer, Osso Buco and chicken parmigiana for our mains, cheese cake for dessert.

Best restaurant in Nanaimo. Foods fantastic, staff is fantastic and everyone is always so appreciative of your business. Everyone should support this lovely local restaurant!

Best place in Nanaimo for Greek. The platter for two was easily enough food to feed four. Personally I love Mousakka but so few Greek places in town seem to offer it so I'm glad it's here. The meal cost just under $80 which seems costly but for two hearty skewers, 2 potatoes, a healthy amount of rice, moussaka, pita bread, two spanakopita, enough Greek salad for four, cheesecake and a drink that's insane value. It tastes great too, I've paid more and gotten less from other places in town so I'm completely satisfied. The food and value are a solid five however parking is very limited so that does put a slight damper on things. I also had takeout so I can't comment completely on quality of service, though the lady who rang me through was very polite.

It’s absolutely one of my favorite place in Nanaimo The staff and service was great. The chef came out and ask about the taste of food. Also the atmosphere is really lovely I ordered beef souvlaki it was so amazing don’t forget to order pina colada & chi chi as a beverage

I am not a local but wanted to support locally when visiting and the food here was delicious and nice portions!
On top of that, the prices are decent and the service was suburb. My group and I got checked on a few times, and even the owner came out to see how we were. You definitely get a "family feel" from here =)

Been in Canada for almost 2 years. Best meal I’ve had here! Portion sizes are so big and sooooo good. It was a great touch that the cook (who I assume is the owner) came out to people to ask how the food was. If you’re in Nanaimo you have to check this place out you will not be disappointed. Thank you for an incredible meal!

We had an excellent family dinner. Great service and food despite our large table of 9 people and very full restaurant. The food is always great and continues to be one of our favourites in Nanaimo. They go the extra mile by taking photos, bringing the kids ice cream cones and of course the cheesecake! Fantastic!

Excellent Greek food. We ordered the greek platter for 2 and an order of shrimp souvlaki for take-out. Everything was delicious but I especially liked the shrimp, lamb, spanakopita, and the lemony potato. There was a nice surprise in the take-out bag, a complementary dessert. Will definitely be back to dine-in next time!

Food is delicious, fresh and hot. Best calamari so far and they even gave us complimentary treats. The staffs are friendly and sufficient. Highly recommended

Easily the best Greek experience in town. We brought home takeout of the dinner for two with calamari and baked spaghetti & my comment was “I wonder if this tastes as good as it smells! ” It did. Perfect calamari - cooked through, but not overly done. The roast potatoes were probably the food highlight.

The whole customer experience was fantastic. When picking up, the cook (perhaps the owner?) greeted me by name while I waited. The quality of food and feeling of community brought together an amazing experience and we can’t wait to go back.

Great food, take out was easy, staff super sweet. You get non alcoholic beverages with some dishes.

We live this family run restaurant! The owner is always there working his butt off. The service is always spot on. We've NEVER been served a subpar meal. If you haven't been to this gem of a restaurant, what are you waiting for?

What a great experience! Great customer service and attention to the details that make a difference. Food was delicious and ready fast, the order was packed for take out hot foods in one bag cold food in another, and all the staff was helpful and friendly. We will be back. We ordered Greek Plater for 2, Bruschetta, and Fries and would order these items again. The Spanakopita was a real stand out. Thank you to all the staff at Alexandra's Bistro for a great family meal my three toddlers give you 6 thumbs up!

Our first time at this place was last night and I was so pleased. The Greek salad was fresh and perfectly dressed (which was exacy what i was craving), there is a baked cheese dish on the appetizers menu that you simply MUST try. Next time, and there will be a next time, I cannot wait for the platter for 2. The staff was wonderful and an extra special Thanks for the cheesecake!

AMAZING. I just had a baked meat lasagna and a chicken souvlaki. They gave us a piece of cheesecake with mango sauce as a complementary dessert for my first visit. Every thing we ordered was super tasty and we will definitely visit again soon. We are so glad we tried this restaurant today. Thanks for the tasty foods!
