Ali Baba Pizza Saanich

Thought I'd try the by the slice pizza again a couple years later. And its gotten even worse. 5% topping 95% bread $7 a slice and they dont have a back cover on the slices so its always room temp

Victoria has gotten an influx of great pizza joints. Ali Babas still remains my go to fave after 25 years. The service and delivery from the Sannich location is simply outstanding. Still great pizza from this location!

$7 for an ice cold rock hard slice of pizza.

No it’s not a HUGE slice. It has hardly any toppings on it.
You can get 2 slices from sarpinos for under $7 and they quite often give you 2 for the price of 1 if it’s been sitting around.
I would much rather pay the same amount for a smaller slice of pizza that tastes good.
Ali baba use to be decent now it is not.
The slice I had was easily 2 hours old.
Pizza can’t be sitting out that long and expect it to be any good.
As for the reheat method, well this just makes it harder.
If the slices do sit out that long you should offer them at half price, which your employees never did.
Not to mention there was a fresh pizza coming out 3 minutes later I didn’t know about.
The issue could’ve been rectified in the shop but wasn’t.
I’m not going to bother with emails back and forth over $7.
Just letting others know how disappointing my pizza was.

I ask if the pizza was fresh and how long it had been out for the lady said ten minutes got to my car less then a minute later and it stone cold eat at your own risk

Really good wings! Pizza kinda too doughy for me. Dislike the assumption of a tip on the machine for just picking up but I hate that anywhere

Ordered 4 of the chicken souvlakis, and although they were tasty, they were not even close to the size that they advertised, pretty disappointing

Too much moisture getting into the dough creating soggy limp pizza. Taste was OK, sauce a little too tangy but when too much moisture gets into the dough it creates a gummy layer you can see and feel as you eat it. Ruins a good pizza or any pizza. From the mainland. If I wasn't really hungry I would have returned it. A quick brush of olive oil before applying sauce can alleviate this problem. When you I lifted your pizza it was SO LIMP the toppings nearly slid completely off! Lame, impassionate, pedestrian, uneducated pizza. Returning to Victoria regularly. NOT returning to Ali Baba's

Worst driest, pizza I ever had. We ordered extra cheese and pineapple the cheese was over cooked and the crust was chewy and dry.

I called three locations and each number said is not in service and when I went to the Quadra location and waited at the door for a bit no one asked me if I wanted anything. I'm not sure if this because of covid but perhaps habe your staff learn to at least tell the customer they'll be right with them instead of ignoring them and also update your phone numbers on your website.

One of my favorite pizza places to order from. The chipotle chicken is my go to pizza, worth trying if you don't mind something a bit spicy. The in store pizza by the slice is a good deal as well and they usually have a good variety most times when I pop into this location.

They force you to go through "leave a tip" so you have to insert your card and I've never seen them sanitize the interact machine, before or after a transaction. I've been told not to bring cash, so there you go.

Just grabbed pizza by the slice and it was barely warm and actually had cold spots in it.

Update: Ali Baba reached out and apologized for the experience. They offered me a voucher, so today I gave them another shot. This time a made to order pizza though. I will say, it was very good!

Great pizza and really strong adherence to current covid rules. I noticed the staff while waiting for a takeout order and they were flawless with their masks.

Ordered thin crust pizzas, almost burnt to a crisp. Manager said that's what you get with thin crust. Suggested they might want to warn customers.

Awful service. The cashier was somewhat hostile because I didnt know how much was left on a gift card. Sorry for making you do your job.

I ordered a Hawaiian pizza, delivery driver showed up with cheese pizza. I called and they wouldn’t do anything about it, and the person who answered the phone was very rude. Disappointed.

I feel like they use too much cumin in the sauce. You guy could have an amazing pizza if you ease off the cumin.

The girl that was working this evening was absolutely lovely. She was, kind, funny, and very personable. Just wanted the owner to know!

I asked how old the pizza was (by the slice) and he told me they were all fresh. He was lying. They had all been sitting there long enough to get slimy on the bottom and cold. Not impressed.

Good when its fresh, but I have to bring it back to a 3/5 for me because its kind of a hit and miss with to go slices, when you go and there all stiff as a board stop selling that to people!?

Also to ANY owners of ali babas you guys should really try to add a plastic slide covers of some sort behind the open pizza shelves so it keeps the heat it alot better and maybe even add some type of light heater as well.if i owned one of these franchises it seems like common sense to do?

Tasty. Unfortunate that they have staff work alone at night. The poor guy on shift had someone walk off with out paying just before we arrives. Sounded like the chain would take it out of his pay. We had to come back because their online system went down and our order was only just being processed. Very nice staff.
