I was greeted by a barber named Mo, but unfortunately, his haircut was below average. The trimmer he used caused discomfort to my neck, and the haircut lacked attention to detail. Once I got home, I had to use my own trimmer to fix many of the issues with his work.

Their machine hurt my face while they were lining up my beard. Now I have something like a bruise.

I have been coming here for the past 7 years, Sal takes amazing care of me and I will always make the drive to come see him. Highly recommend this barbershop.

Sick fades by far one of the best in town.

I got thick Afro and they know exactly what to do!

Worst barber shop in the city hands down and over priced. Asked for a low fade, (only sides) and to even out my fully grown beard… now I have buzz cut and need to regrow my beard smh never again how do you charge 45$ for sides with no razor or line up?

Filthy establishment, and in a visible state of disrepair. Unsavory looking individuals hanging around in the place, giving dirty looks. Stay clear

The dedication they put to your beard you won't find anywhere else. Super recommended. Cash only though.

Eric was my barber first time going to the shop and left me feeling good highly recommend and will be bringing my friends too

The guy cut my neck multiple times.
The haircut itself is a really low level and doesn't correspond to the photo I've shown.
It is like in a car dealership - Give me a pickup. Sure! Here is your car. And you get SUV:)
The guy was interested only in $25: (
I wonder if he was an owner.

Heard about this barbershop from my mother. I usually go to a barbershop out in surrey near my place. Well worth the hour journey, Eric the barber here does a killer cut even did my beard and brows for me. Made me looo really good. Price is around 35 dollars excluding tip. Not bad at all. Would definitely recommend coming here.

I've been having the worst experience with this guy name Mark! Make an appointment and have to wait 1.5 hrs beforegetting my hair cut. He doesn't take your appointments seriously. Decided to give him another try. Again he shows how unprofessional he is. He decided to leave before I got there and told a guy who has never cut my hair to take care of me. Support your own they say. What they don't understand is " your own" has no idea what good customer service is. Man I miss Nico!

Mark is a nice guy and does great cuts. Been going here for months. But his time management needs a lot of work. Yesterday I called ahead and he told me an hour. Got there an hour later at 5pm and he said he had two in front. I waited an hour and a guy comes in a 6pm for an appointment and he took him. At that point I left and asked for an appointment the next day at 1pm. I come back at 1pm and waited over 30 minutes and he didn't show. Seriously? ! It's a shame because he's a nice guy and does great work but I've waisted way too much time calling ahead and arranging times only to be either stood up or left waiting for an hour.

The guy who cut my hair couldn't speak any English and Its one of the worst haircuts I've had in a long time

I moved from Vancouver for 3 years. Anytime I visit, this was my first and last stop before and after the plane - especially if I have a photo shoot coming up. I don’t mind waiting occasionally if it means I’m going to receive compliments left and right. Thanks Mark!

Solid cut for a solid price. I called on a Friday after work and they were cool enough to sneak me in on 15 minutes notice. As long as I'm living downtown Thai will be my barbershop.

Got 2 haircuts there one of the 2 was perfect the second one was good and the service is alright. Just sit and wait for them to call you

My only place to get your haircut downtown. Very friendly group of guys that work there and they take time in everything they do.

Being a person of color, it's always a challenge finding a place that is accommodating to some of my asks. That being said they have all demographics going in and out, with everyone looking fresh when they leave.

Shoutout to Sal who always does an amazing job. I'd recommend calling in advance as they get busy sometimes. I'd also recommend taking cash as it's cash only (ATM on sight if you forget)

Nice place, probably not here for long as the building is slated to be demolished and turned into condos.

Overall, my experience wasn't great, but it wasn't the worst.
Walking in, I liked that the place was central, and it was convenient since (on a Saturday morning) I was the first one in with no line.
Unfortunately, for one, the place isn't clean. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned for quite some time, with old hair everywhere. Secondly, it's cash only, so the haircut costs $2 more to use their ATM. Lastly, (the normal haircut cost $25) so I gave Hamza a $30 and asked for change, however, he had no change so he took $30 without offering to accept $25 with no tip. The haircut cost me $32 in the end, and it wasn't really that great.

Made an appointment today on the phone for 1: 15 pm Saturday. The guy on the phone said perfect and asked if I preferred anyone (first time) I said I don’t. Showed up 10 min early. Walked in, no one said hi to me, greeted me “, or asked if I had an appt. I assumed they would call you when it’s you’re turn. So I sat there, at first when it went over 1: 15 I wasn’t upset. Barbers aren’t always on time, it’s normal. I waited over 45 min. When I got to my seat at close to 2 pm I mentioned that I had an appt for 1: 15. The guy who was cutting someone else’s hair said to me “you’re late! Haha”

I will admit by that time I was pretty short due to waiting over 45 min. I replied that I’m not late, they are. This is when things went completely wrong. Instead of apologizing and simply trying to correct the situation he mentioned that he never saw me! I was there for over 45 min! And we made eye contact. He continued to push that I should’ve said I had an appt.

Why didn’t I say anything 30 min in? Because I didn’t know who I had an appt with, and no one said anything, so I was a little confused and didn’t know.
I watched other people walk in and they seemed like
They know the guys, so my assumptions they had appts.

When was the last time you entered a barber and they didn’t say “hello there, do you have an appt” it’s not the customers job to remind you.

Things don’t end there.

I have never been in a shouting match with a service worker. But here I was with one. Why? Because instead of using de-escalating tactics in a situation like this, they used ever method possible to escalate my anger and frustration.

They blamed me, they shouted at me, and then to top it off

On my way out, one of the guys yelled

“Get the efff out of here”

I cannot comment on the skill level of the place. As obviously, I did not get a cut.

But never again.
