Alex Carrod has been truly exceptional. He is personable, professional and highly knowledgeable (he regularly attends seminars and training to keep current). He is thorough in his approach and has an acute understanding of one's needs when devising an appropriate treatment plan. And, most important, he is wholly effective at what he does.

Before treatment, I had recurring back and knee pain that were increasingly limiting my functionality, e.g. I could not sit/stand 5-10+ minutes, drive any appreciable distances, safely negotiate stairs, or spend much time cooking. I had to rely on public transit to get around, race to get a seat on transit, and carry a portable chair with me. I required accommodation at work and had to frequently rest or adjust my position.

Now, I can sit and stand for indefinite periods, drive for hours at a time, and pursue physical endeavours I thought were well behind me, all without fear of aggravating my back or knees. Very occasionally, I might strain my back (carrying heavier loads than I should) but recovery is quick, any pain momentary, and I no longer have to rely on pain relief medication. Recently, I even hiked rugged mountainous terrain. I had expected but did not feel any strain on my back or knees, either ascending or descending steep inclines – even after several hours!

My opinion of Alex was greatly reinforced after a week of hiking and travelling through the Colorado Rockies. Thanks to Alex, I have not felt this fit, strong, and stable, nor as confident about my physical abilities in close to 20 to 25 years.

Under Alex’s care, my overall sense of health and well-being has vastly improved. I can sincerely say that I wish that I had met Alex sooner, as I would have enjoyed a far greater quality of life.

I've been working with Alex Carrod for a while now following a long-term injury from a car accident. I'm quite insecure about how persistent of an issue my hip has been, but he's been incredibly patient, reassuring, and professional throughout the entire process. Honestly, sometimes my appointments feel more like visiting a friend than working on something that has brought me a lot of pain and self-doubt, and I really appreciate him for that. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a physiotherapist!

I have been seeing Alex since November 2022, after having had a knee meniscectomy. I have found Alex to be engaged, knowledgeable, and considerate of my specific needs. Having achieved significant recovery Alex is supportive and is now establishing therapies and exercises to ensure that I achieve my goals.

Alex Carrod is an amazing physiotherapist. He is currently helping me with a sports related injury. Alex’s approach/style is thought out and detailed; showing me on a screen the muscles that are injured. (I personally like to be able to see that and understand what is happening and where the pain is coming from). He is an effective physio with his assessments and understanding what the problem is and what to do to help it from not happening again.
I would recommend Alex to anyone who is searching for a physio.

I have worked with Alex Carrod for almost two years after a repeat ACL injury. He helped me build strength and mobility in pre-hab prior to surgery and has guided my postoperative recovery as well. He is very knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. He has kept me motivated throughout the process and I have appreciated his goal-oriented tailored approach. He identified some weaknesses on my un-injured knee and takes a systemic approach in terms of rehabiltiation and return to sport. I would highly recommend Alex!

I cannot recommend Thomas Scarr enough! I have worked with him for a long time in a variety of settings. While I was an athlete, Thomas helped me excel in baseball and work towards being healthy and staying on the field. After playing, Thomas has allowed me to remain pain-free while working on my hips and shoulder. If you are an athlete Thomas Scarr is the physio for you!

I've been going to see Alex Carrod for the past 6 months after I tore my calf and damaged some lower limb tendons. He's been absolutely amazing in helping me rehab the injury and get back to my usual lifestyle. With his help, I can now walk, run and hike without pain. He's also helped me get back to running in a way that will make it less likely i get re-injured. I feel much stronger and have better endurance & coordination than I did before the injury thanks to his rehab/training plans. Alex also really helped keep my mindset in a good place, especially when my mobility was limited. He understands how frustrating it can be for people to be unable to move their bodies in the way they used to/want to. He's been encouraging, positive, and realistic when framing recovery times and expectations. I recommend him to anyone needing a physiotherapist!

Daana Esfandiapour is a wonderful, skilled and caring physiotherapist. She has a strong educational background, including post doctoral training at the University of Alberta. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a first rate physio.

While working through my knee injury I have had the pleasure of working with Thomas Scarr. He is very knowledgeable on the latest physiotherapy techniques and has helped me gain considerable pain free range of motion on the injured knee. Thomas truly cares about his patients and their ability to get back to playing the sports/activities they love and I would highly recommend him.

I see Dan at Allan McGavin and have been seeing him for several years. He is a master in what he does and he knows exactly what to do to figure out the root of the problem.
Very friendly and explains everything clearly which makes you comfortable.
Highly recommend him!

A friend recommended this clinic to me and I'm so glad they did. Reception was always friendly and hyped me up on my progress, and if you're looking for a physiotherapist, I definitely recommend Thomas Scarr! Thomas is an easygoing, supportive, and considerate professional invested in getting you back to doing what you love. Whenever I had any questions or concerns about the exercises, he made sure I understood what our targets were, and was quick to adapt stretches if my body had any protests. I really appreciated his thoroughness and communication.
While I hope I don't find myself in need of physio again in the future, if I do, this is where I'll come back to.

Dan Wilson is a great physiotherapist. I have and will continue to recommended him to my friends and family. He has helped me recover quickly from numerous injuries. And despite being a Raptors fan he is easy to talk to.

I would absolutely recommend Dan if you are looking for a great physiotherapist. I am really really happy with Dan's treatment with my physical issue! He is very professional and knowledgable. He always explains medical terms in a simple way on what are the causes, and what we can do to make it better. When trying new approach, he alway make sure I understand what will happen if we try it and ask if I feel comfortable to try it. His treatment is very effective and make my life a lot better every time after I visit him.

Excellent service and availability with a full selection of therapists. The only thing is, for physio they'll book you in with other patients at the same time and in the end you may get 15-20 mins of actual hands-on attention while paying for an hour.

My sciatica was so bad I could barely walk. Had seen another chiropractor and rmt, with problems worsening. Eric told me straight away to expect 6-8 weeks of pain, and 2-3 months of therapy. A welcome assessment, as I had honestly lost a lot of hope. I was depressed (rock climbing is my life), and the idea that I would one day be able to move without pain seemed like wishful thinking. One month later, I am able to run and completely off painkillers.truly amazing. His ability to identify old, hidden injuries underneath the more obvious sciatica symptoms, his patience and confidence boosting attitude, and his super customized approach are impressive. It has been an emotional journey, and I would recommend anyone to try this. Now I'm not just wishing for the pain to be gone, but actually wondering how he can take me to new heights of physical performance. Thank you Eric!

Not good at rescheduling.
I called to reschedule an appointment and the person on the phone confirmed the schedule.
After seven weeks, just two days before the old appointment date, their system sent an email saying that you have an appointment in two days. If you want to cancel the appointment you will have to pay certain penalty.
When I called them, they said your new schedule was cancelled. You should have two prior notices for the old schedule (one two weeks before and one two days before), thus you get enough time to cancel. But, I only got the two days prior reminder. When I mentioned that, the person on the phone said, "I am just cannot take your words on this". Why on earth I am going to lie about this just for $75?
I have gone through my old email and found that I had a confirmation email of the new schedule, and the very next minute they sent an email cancelling the same schedule I just had confirmed! Well, blame on me as I simply trusted their system and simply expected that the second email is confirming the cancellation of the right appointment.

Eric Lowe and Sean Cannon are the guys to see! Both are extremely professional and really focused on my assessment and treatment plan. Together they collaobarated to provide top notch patient care. Some therapists minds are running between multiple patients at a time but these two really dedicate their time to understand the issue and educate. 10/10 would recommend to other friends and family.

Can't thank Dan enough for all of his help with my shoulder and groin injuries. After seeing several physios over the course of many years, Dan is the first to make some progress on my chronic shoulder injuries. We're making good headway and I expect (for the first time in a long time) that I'll be pain free soon!
