EXPENSIVE!
They are nice and courteous. But the medication they supply is 3 Times more EXPENSIVE than other vets. It is outrageous how they money grab and take advantage of people that have to buy medication for their pets. Do not get your pet medication here. I understand making a profit but 3 TIMES the price? They should be ashamed of themselves.

Long wait times.but they provide great service.i took my cat here for the first visit, but issues reoccured so had to take her to another vet nearby as i didnt want to wait.but good service.

Wow they are awesome. I took my cat there to get her claws clipped. My last vet said I needed to sedate her, Or they wouldn't do her. I took her to Alouette Animal Hosp. They were able to do her without any medication. I can't thank them enough. Truly professionals. They know what they are doing. More then I can say about my other Vet

We’ve been going to Alouette for for a few years now and they’re always great. We have a black cat a Great Dane and little papillon cross and they’ve taken care of all of them over the years. The staff is always amazing and the Doctors are excellent.

Great first experience with our puppy. The staff were super friendly and the doc was extremely helpful and answered all our questions

I have been coming to Alouette, for more then 30 years, back when Dr Orser was running the show.
I’ve left a few times gone to other vets, maybe paid a little less.
But with my fur babies big and small, if I ever was worried about anything, they went to Alouette.
Dr Tammy Wong has been seeing my fur family for the last couple years, she is fabulous, pays attention to everything you want, and explains everything.

The vets here are like sales people, they care more about my bank account than about my pet's health. Within the past year, one of their vets suggested that I euthanize my dogs due to an illness she couldn't figure out for one, and a surgery for my other dog that was too expensive here. Luckily I was smart enough to seek a second opinion and found it for 1/4 of the price they offer at Langley animal clinic. I emailed Allouette and complained about that vet but no one responded. Both my dogs are alive and well after going to Langley animal clinic.

I just called to get a quote for spaying our cat. Just surprised The receptionist said $300 for exam, $425 for surgery! The other clinic’s prices for surgery is between $70 and $150. Not nice at all.

Dr Mo did a wonderful job with our Baxter. He was empathetic and kind when he gave the diagnosis and I would definitely recommend him and the staff. My boy never leaves the yard and they made a scary visit much calmer by their actions

I’ve had nothing but amazing service here, the staff is so calming and friendly. Really made a normally terrible thing, a good experience. My dog was very sick, and they got her in immediately, and she had surgery the next day. I could tell how they really cared for my girl, and they really made me feel comfortable.

Awesome that they have a bird vet, kind of rare. They fit us in for an emergency visit with basically zero notice and it was all very affordable. Would recommend for bird services.

I can’t say enough about the staff here. They are so empathetic and kind. I recently went through the loss of a furry family member and they helped me from the moment I placed a distressed call to arranging cremation.
Today I checked the mail box and this small thoughtful gesture really went along way for me.

Excellent support staff. Solid COVID plan in place. Wish the doctor explained more on how to care for my dog's ear. I find their rates higher than other places in Maple Ridge.

Friendly staff and knowledgeable vets but if your concerned about your pets well-being take them elsewhere. This clinic is more concerned about keeping appointments then they are about treating animals and that says a lot considering they are always running late. I have been taking all three of my dogs to this clinic for years and several times I have been very disappointed with how they handle emergency situations. There cost is fair at the expense of overall concern for your animal.

Very quick and easy to get into for appointments, they took great care of my rabbit, the vet spoke with me in depth and gave me lots of information, was not rushed at all. Highly recommend.

During a foster to adopt on a dog for us, we had some concerns with the poor pooch. Scheduled an appointment to bring her in and get an opinion on the health of the pup.

While in the truck in the parking lot in line to go in next during the pandemic, he spoke to us on the phone and got the basic details of our concerns, and the background of the rescue organization and lack of health history on the dog and our skepticism on the whole situation.

The doctor gave us a few minutes to talk privately over what exams would be recommended for getting a clean bill of health on this dog and have us call back when we were ready.

My wife and I talked in the truck and we called back a short period after, and while we were talking, the doctor researched the said rescue to help understand where the dog has been.

His research had found that the rescue had a sort of history in bringing in sick dogs from foreign countries without disclosing that information.

This doctor took the time to dig in to our concerns, instead of cracking jokes with the employees while my wife and I talked about our options, or making a fresh coffee in the back, he spent that time trying to help us even further.

Not to mention, afterward we offered to pay for just the time he spent on the phone and waiting for us to talk it out, and he declined our offer to pay.

These guys are awesome! If you have a small pocket pet I highly recommend them. Fairley priced and very caring group. We live in Coquitlam and its worth the drive.

I love this place. I had an emergency with my pug in the early days of COVID. My vet at that time was closed. Alouette was open with established protocols that made it possible for them to see my dog right away. They were friendly, the doctor was thorough, she had xrays, meds, he phoned that night to check in and again the next day. Her issues are age related, we didn't know them before, and now we know and we know how to manage.

I have a 2 part review:

1. This month our bunny had passed away. We had dropped her off for cremating before the holidays and I picked her up on Friday.
The staff was very empathetic and kind thorough the process

2. We have taken our new to us Rescue dog for a complete check over when she started getting a rash in the summer. The Dr.was very helpful, wanted a call back a few day afterwards to see if the medication was working and was very thorough. This will be our go to Vet clinic because we were extremely satisfied.

Not too impressed.

I’ve been to this vet 3 times and each time they have been pretty disorganized. I totally get it that covid procedures are new but the fact that they would always call me about another persons dog.goes to show their disorganization. Everyone seems friendly enough but lacks confident answers to common questions. They gave me cough medicine but didn’t provide proper syringes. I’m gonna have a blast trying to give my dog the medicine without them.

Not a bad vet but will probably take my business elsewhere next time.

Great staff welcoming atmosphere, very caring, when it comes time to say goodbye to your beloved furry family members

About 4 years ago my black cat chased another cat across a street and got hit by a car. His rear leg was shattered and exposed.

A couple other emergency vets claimed that the only solution was to amputate his leg. I took him to Alouette where he’d been treated since he was a kitten. The surgeon said he wanted to try to save his leg and re-create his knee with hardware. I trusted his expertise and let him perform magic.

Today my cat is exclusively an indoor cat, but he walks and jumps on four legs and doesn’t have any pain. It is remarkable to see him enjoy every new day and I am eternally grateful to all the kind and generous staff at Alouette for being there for both of us these past 8 years!

Everyone I have ever interacted with there is amazing and makes me leave happier than I came in.

These guys are amazing and caring people! We still use their services and we live in Port Moody because they're the best anywhere! I'll never use any other veteranarian around!

Taken advantage of you. Not even closely enough prescribe what was wrong with my dog. But surely were ready to do care ray and blood test without advising the price of this service. My dog just caught a cold but this hospital took advantage of me being worry about my dog. Never ever going there. Just trying to increase the profit but clearly don't care about your pet. Assistance over the phone were real nice but it is a trap. Don't go there. And certainly don't agree on any services like x ray and blood test if you think its not accurate.

Alouette hospital is very good place to take your pet they're very understanding and patient people they don't see them just as a pet they see them as the family and take care of it as it's just one of their own thank you for help my mom in laws cat!

Ever since DR. O sold the practice to a corporation they have gone downhill fast. We changed vets to Eastridge animal hospital and they have been great.

Terrible experience! Diagnosed my now epileptic dog with food allergies for 4 months now my dogs brain may be too far gone too salvage her quality of life.

DONT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! They misdiagnosed my dog and he would have died if I didn’t rush him into emergency. When complaining to the manager Twyla, she called me a liar. Don’t take your pet here unless you enjoy lack of compassion and communication.

Really disappointed with Alouette. Been going there for 6+ years and it's been going down hill for a few years now.
We were told our dog has possible cancerous tumors on his leg. Obviously we were upset and wanted to help him. A 1200+dollar surgery was highly recommended. The day he was suppose to go in we were told their.oxygen machine.broke so they couldnt do it. Had a bad feeling so we got a second opinion.
We were happy to hear they were just cyst and now are gone and didnt have to put our poor boy through UNNECESSARY surgery.

My original vet did not have the Rayne kangaroo food in stock and they were very accommodating to getting me a large bag. My phone died and was not able to call upon arrival and they were very helpful and understanding.

When they put our cat to sleep she just drifted off peacefully. No stress on her at all. I have seen other pets tense and struggle but not here.

My 4 year old Missy (pitbull) was not acting herself for a couple days and took her into Alouette Animal Hospital; the doctor saw her right away and said that she is in need for emergency surgery to get her uterus taken out as she was not spayed. They got her in for surgery at 1: 30pm, and she is on the mend. The staff and doctor were amazing! I am a new dog owner and didn't know this could happen to unspayed dogs. The staff calmed me down while I was having a bit of a meltdown, and I had a lovely room to wait for the surgery to end. My pup is doing well and loving being pampered.
