Alpha Adventures- Outdoor Adventure Store

Beautiful day at Dakota Ridge yesterday - thanks to Alex for organizing and driving the ski shuttle, keeping everyone safe and informed. I highly recommend Alpha Adventures for fun & memorable outdoor activities on the Sunshine Coast.

Jamie was so helpful getting our big extended-family group of 14 (ages 10 to 76) set-up for a day of kayaking. He was an amazing instructor and everyone had a wonderful time!

Used the shuttle service and rented snowshoes for a group of 6. Reliable and very friendly service. We had an amazing day! Thanks Jamie and Sarah!

Jamie, Chris and the team at Alpha were awesome setting my kids up for the Dakota Nordics program. They educated us about our options, took time to properly size the gear and ordered in quickly the stock they needed for my kids set ups. Communication was great and they were all ready to go on the big day. Highly recommend buying local from this long time business serving our community.

Went in here to ask if they carried any hatchets and the lady said this. “Are you kidding? I would never sell a hatchet to you! ” And then proceeded to say “besides we don’t carry axes…” like really? You own an outdoor adventure store in the middle of nowhere and this is how you respond to customers? I have never ben treated this way by a business and i was honestly in disbelief. Very poor attitude from a person who lives in a place of such beauty where most people are in to fishing and hunting and camping.

Love the products but the cashier was horrible! She didn’t greet us or even say hello upon arrival then she actually stood behind me watching me like as if I’m going to try to steal something! I tried on some arc’teryx pants and bought them and my brother bought me the matching sweater for my bday. We could’ve bought anything we want in there and could’ve done without the racial profiling and snotty attitude therefore I will not be recommending this place to friends n family!

Jamie and the Alpha Adventures Team have been incredibly helpful in regards to helping me purchase my first kayak. Jamie delivered my kayak straight to my door and went above and beyond to do another trip to bring me the complimentary paddle coming with it. Fast, efficient, and super friendly service! Thank you so much!

I organized a friend's bachelorette on the Sunshine Coast and 8 of us took to the water on a beautiful kayak tour at sunset from Porpoise Bay Provincial Campground. Our guides were friendly and knowledgeable right from initial contact all the way to docking up our kayaks on dry land. We felt safe the whole time and even got to see some bioluminescence which was incredible. We can't wait to get back on the water again with Linnea and team.

We had such an awesome time doing the Sunset Tour! We booked a private tour with a group of 9 people. Linnea was a fabulous guide and basically ran the whole thing herself! We lucked out with the weather, and had perfect sea conditions. It was a little slow getting us onto the water (I think the other guides were in training) but Linnea was trying to move us along as quickly & safely as possible! Snacks and Bubly was provided on the water while we enjoyed the sunset. 10/10 would recommend this tour!
