Alpine Lodge Hostel

Exactly what you want in a ski lodge: affordable, clean, and cozy. The atmosphere is very nice with all the wood.

The place is beautiful and well located. Public transportation access is near, the view is great and the shared spaces are big. Having two kitchen is great even if the frigdes are packed. Unfortunately I've been blame for their lack of organization two times and it made me feel unconfortable. First when I arrived, after calling and sending email to reserve on a specific date, leaving my phone number and infos. My friend showed me the place and propose me the room he taught was the best option cause nobody was their to welcome me. The son's owner was very mad and angry at us, I wasn't understanding our responsibility in the story. I felt infantilized and it was the coldest welcoming ever. After taking a final decision regarding the choice of my room with the son's owner, another issue begin. The cleaner of the house was texting and calling my friend telling him he should have told her for the choice of my room, people were mad because of us. I mean, it's not his or my job to make sure of the communication of the owner and his workers.another awkward conversation and feeling of being unreasonable when the facts are: don't blame your clients for your lack of organization. I feel like because it's a shared room hostel the owners think they can speak to us like if we were some teenagers in vacation. I mean, we're paying 1100$ for shared bunk bed room, the minimum effort here would be to treat us with respect and take action on their lack of communication between them. I also gave a deposit of 500$ wich i'm not sure I ever gonna see again. Final point, we had a weird covid case wich is allright finally, everyone's negative but again, the situation's been treated weirdly, nobody cleaned my room and there was like white powder all over my bunk bed. I figured it was for bedbugs. It was all over the air, I kept coughing and I had to clean everything for my own health.

Alpine Lodge in Whistler was amazing! Clean rooms, spacious living/eating area and the owner was extremely helpful and hospitable during our stay. Perfect place if you’re looking to rent the entire house for a getaway with your “bubble”.

The Alpine Lodge is a great place for a Whistler getaway. The staff are friendly and hospitable. The lodge and dorms are very cozy with high ceilings and nice natural light. Berkley, the friendly Mastiff, and Louie, the friendly Cat, will make you feel protected AND loved. The lodge has lots of cool pictures and artwork too! Highly recommended

Was welcomed by the owner, it’s clean and spacious, close to the village, has an amazing Japanese spa room with sauna which I used throughout the winter, highly recommend checking out if you are ever in whistler.

Such a beautiful hostel! Sparkling clean and the hot tub/steam room area is like having your own little spa! Here during the off season so it was super quiet. Will definitely return for ski season and stay here! ️

Ridiculous price for a hostel (at least I think so at $75 per person) but Banff itself is verrrry pricey and this was a very beautiful facility and much nicer than the camping, after we were attacked by mosquitoes just going from our car to the hostel!

Very clean, beautiful place. Front desk staff was a bit short with me but not horrible. I'd definitely stay again.

Booked two nights and only stayed one. Didn't even ask for a refund I wanted out of the place so quick. I will never go back here. I will say manager followed up with my complaint quickly but didn't actually do anything to resolve it for me.

Have came here 3 years in a row. The rooms are great, the location is not bad at all and the staff is always friendly. Very clean and easy going. Will come back many years to come.

Wow this place is amazing, the owner and staff are incredible. Their hospitality is fantastic, super accomodating. The whole theme of the hostel is really homey and it's very easy to meet people and make some skiing/boarding buddies. Highly reccommend!

Attempted to book two beds through their website approx 1 month prior to arrival. The website only booked 1 bed due to availabillity, it was not clear that only 1 bed was available at the time. When I called to ask if I could be refunded for the 1 bed they informed me to e-mail instead of calling. I emailed multiple times and they completely ignored me. I paid for a bed at this hostel, never stayed there and was unable to get a refund due to there system errors with the online booking.
