We stayed overnight through our trip to Calgary from Vancouver. Wanted to choose somewhere unique. The property itself is unique; however, the frozen and icy road that leads to the property, dirty sheets and subpar “breakfast” took that all away.

Rooms 5: Rooms were very clean and tidy. Gives off a country cottage/cabin, warm vibe.

Service 4: Hosts were very lovely. They were not there to greet us or other guests who were staying while we were there. They left a welcome note for us on the check-in desk with all the information necessary to get set-up. Additionally, you will have to ask for some things such as BBQ utensils but they were all provided.

Location 4: If you want a nice, isolated, in the woods type of place, this is perfect. It is about a 7-10 min drive on a gravel road from the main road through a forest. It is very quiet at night and you can see across the valley from the place.

Overall: When visiting in June 2023, the accommodation was very nice. We were okay with the hosts not there to greet us. Nice quiet place in the forest. Would go back again.

First of all, you have to drive on dirt road for ~ 7 minutes to get to the lodge. The gravel road is well maintained and shouldn’t be of concern.

The lodge is located in a forest that rests in a 150 acre property. That being said, if you’re a city person and do not appreciate simplicity and nature then this place is probably not for you.

The place has a unique character overall. Hardwood floors, wood burning fireplace and lots of wooden artifacts which I thought were cool.

The rooms are pretty basic with outdated furniture. The bed was comfortable though. There is no fridge or coffee maker inside the rooms. But you can utilize the dining area downstairs which has most of the things you need. (Fridge, kettle, coffee machine, tea.etc)

Also, the communal area downstairs provides for the perfect opportunity to hang out with others if you’re a social human being.

The host Medha was really nice and welcoming and gave me a quick tour of the place upon arrival. She also upgraded my room for free which was a bonus!

We stayed in Alpine meadows lodges. I saw it’s rustic pictures and thought it will be fun to visit. Firstly it’s a 4km gravel narrow road outside the city. The lodge receptionist was nice and apparently it looked nice we liked the fire place and hard wood floors but when we reached room it was very disappointing. First of all room was stuck in 80’s era. The mattress was worn out, springy and very uncomfortable. Faded sheets and pillows were terrible. We were happily told that bathroom had Jacuzzi tub. It was stale and old. No water was draining from tub. It was so icky that I will never like to sit in it. There were flies in bathroom and floor was squeaking. In room there was no iron or iron stand. No sofa for sitting. The night was very restless as once my husband moved I have to awake and if I moved I was disturbing my husband as whole bed was shaking and jumpy like trampoline. In morning breakfast was very basic. I will not recommend them for stay. It’s better to spend few more dollars and get a place to stay inside the town. We will not visit them. Very outdated and old bedroom setting very uncomfortable stay.

Alpine Meadows Lodge is by far the best value you will find if you're visiting the BC interior. Location is within 90 minutes of Banff, Lake Louise and Athabasca Glacier. Drive slow as you enter the 3km dirt road that leads up to the lodge and watch for the pot holes! The Lodge is a little dated but super clean and comfy. Guests are on the mature side so place was very quiet and serene. The true gem of our stay was Medha. She made the three night stay amazing with her exceptional hospitality and warmth. Beds were comfortable and had the best pillows I've experienced in a hotel - this means a LOT! Breakfast was basic and self serve (cereal, toast, boiled eggs and fresh fruit) but at half the price of anything in BC, this was a huge bonus. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back to visit the wonderful Medha!

Wow, what a special place! I was traveling alone and Meida (sp?) greeted me upon arrival. She gave me a tour of the grounds, made me feel so welcome and safe the entire stay, and went above and beyond to keep the place spotless and ensured I was happy. She is absolutely the reason the place gets 5+ stars. The views were a close second. Do note, no TVs nor vending at the lodge.

We stayed for 2 nights as a group of 7. Helpful staff and very friendly. Somewhat dated decor but has everything you need for a short stay. A little off the beaten track for my liking but for many that would probably be a reason to stay there. Lots to see in the area, one day would probably have been enough but worth trying.

Yes. We will visit Alipine Meadows Lodge again. Such a warmth me (Raj) and my wife enjoyed here. The location is super cool. Rooms are clean and homely. Above all the hospitality and the friendliness of Mida and Janice is amazing. Sumptuous breakfast. Amazing views. As such Golden, BC is a beautiful place to visit and enjoy the mountain and river views. Our recent visit for the first time to Golden was made even more enchanting by Mida and Janice. We highly recommend Aline Meadows Lodge B&B, Golden, BC.

Really beautiful and very well maintained place to stay at. The rooms were very clean, had good amenities. The morning view of the mountains is amazing from here and breakfast prepared by the owner/host was also good. The common area was also very well decorated and maintained and seems like a nice spot to hang out if you’re here for a few days.

The drive up the road leading to this place may be intimidating but it’s alright!
