Mike and his team came and removed 3 trees and trimmed 2 others. The price was better than fair, crews were on time, professional, & did the job better than expected. In fact the biggest tree blocks the morning sun was so big and troublesome over the years; Mike did warn us it might have to be kept due to its size, don't know what kind of magic he plays but we finally got city approval of removal. So happy. Middle of job, some crew member was sick and Mike was trying to refer the job out to someone else to prevent spreading of virus. We decided to keep Mike on the job with a bit more waiting time. Worth it! Feels his care to his customers. Finds Mike is very professional, knowledgeable, experienced, of courtesy, doesn't break your bank either, HIGHLY recommend Alpine Tree Care to anyone!

I contacted Mike at Alpine Tree Care to help me do some restorative pruning for one of my japanese cherry tree's, prune a tree in my backyard and remove a tree stump. Mike was super responsive and and provided the proper guidance and options for my request. Amazing communication throughout the process and he found time to fit me into his busy schedule. Answered all of our questions, very knowledgeable about local city bylaws which proved very helpful in our expectations for tree trimming and removal. When onsite, all workers were very professional and friendly. Safety was a top priority at all times. I highly recommend Alpine Tree Care. Mike responded promptly to communications, scheduled us in quickly, was punctual, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He helped us stump grind and was careful to not disturb nearby trees and tree roots. He also provided advice on whether a large tree should be removed to avoid damage to our home. He patiently explained everything to us. We will be sure to recommend him to all our friends and family.

At first I wanted to work with an acquaintance or with a referral. I found Alpine on Google and contacted them. Although Mike was not available to answer the phone at that particular time, he responded via text immediately and continued to be highly responsive. He is extremely knowledgeable in a number of areas. Mike worked with City Hall Permits department for us, paid a lot of attention to the finer details, and was extremely safety conscious. We love that he is dedicated to the environment which was evident through his tool choices, paperless billing, and the fact that wood chips do not go to the landfill but are recycled. Great quality work and friendly service. Mike was willing to answer any questions we had regarding the trimming of the pine tree that was overhanging into our property. He was very respectful and responsive to our neighbours concerns too. He was also able to advise on maintaining the trees root health with our upcoming backyard renovation.

I got Mike to remove a large dead tree that was leaning over and about to fall, remove dead branches from another evergreen tree and to grind a couple of tree stumps.

I called Mike (Alpine Tree Care) last July as I was looking for a qualified and experienced arborist to help with a problem tree in my front yard. I chose Alpine Tree Care largely because of all the positive reviews. After the terrible customer service and unprofessional behaviour that Mike displayed in our interactions, I must question the validity of all the other perfect reviews. To be honest, at our first meeting Mike seemed to be as advertised but after leaving my home, he completely ignored my phone calls, email and texts after I was looking for an update about a tree removal permit form he promised to send to the city on our behalf. No communication over several months, lack of professionalism and quite frankly disrespectful. Very disappointed in how I was treated and the overall extremely negative experience. I was really hoping we could have resolved this the right way, but I guess Mike decided I wasn’t worth a quick phone call or message. This company clearly does not value its customers!

Had Mike to come in again to grind the stump and the roots of that big tree and he did a great job, very efficient and clean. Thanks again Mike!:)

We contacted several arborists about removal or major pruning of a backyard maple tree of ours.
Alpine was easily the most responsive and in the end we're glad they were as the work was exceptionally, professionally done.

He was frank about the possibility of removal, which was our preference, and convinced us after he made an inquiry on our behalf, why keeping it was the better option anyways.

While he was concerned with our tree and property he also took great care to minimize impact on our neighbours. We have more work to be done and will be hiring Alpine again for sure!

The quality of service we received from Alpine Tree Care exceeded our expectations.
We live in kitsilano, and in our front yard there is a very large cedar tree planted in the 70’s and had been topped in the 80’s. Consequently, a few years ago during a light storm one of the large limbs fell and left the tree unbalanced and at risk.
Mike was able to climb the tree all the way to the top and spiral prune this tree in a way that not only looks good, but it is well balanced and deemed safe. The company was able to chip all branches on site, and when the job was done the site looked as clean and tidy as before.
Alpine Tree Care was mindful of our established garden surrounding the tree, and after the service our garden remained intact and suffered no damages whatsoever.
