I am very pleased with prompt professional customer service. Information about update for torque sensor was provided right away as per my request. The owners are super helpful and courteous. I love my bike Sidekick Step Pro which I bought In the beginning of November. I would highly recommend this company to purchase a bike from.

I was looking at a couple of different bikes and settled on the Sidekick Trail Pro. I have a toyota corolla and want to transport the bike to different areas. The first photo is taking the bike home in the back of my car. Once home it sets up very quickly and was great fun going around my neighborhood. Heading out again now.

Very knowledgeable, helpful people who genuinely know their product. Recommended a great fit bike for my specific body type and nailed it. Great pricing and bike was assembled and ready for pickup in less than 2hrs.wouldn't hesitate to deal with these guys again. Thank you!

UPDATE: After reading the owners response I feel I have to clear up a few discrepancies.
1) You are correct, there is no service ticket. On Friday June 23 I rode my bike to the store to see if I could get the front brakes adjusted. I explained the issue and you told me that it would need a tune-up and told me to go to Abby Bike shop. You never once suggested that it could be dealt with at the store.
2) Apparently, we disagree on what a manufacturing issue is. When wires fall out during normal riding that is a manufacturing problem. A cursory inspection would show that it was poorly soldered, but you weren't even willing to examine it.
3) In our 4-email exchange over this issue I never once "threatened" a "nasty" review. Go back and reread them.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
After reviewing our Service Tickets, there is not a single one that has been sent in by you. Perhaps you should've contacted us about the brake issue as we absolutely service everything we sell. Pulled wires are not a manufacturing defect and not covered under any warranty by any brand. Just because you don't agree with a decision and threatened a nasty review doesn't change facts. I recently purchased 2 Freedom bikes from Alter Ego and, unfortunately, my experience with their after-sales service has been less than satisfactory.

Firstly, when I encountered an issue with the front brakes squealing shortly after the purchase I was told that they didn’t do any service at the shop and I would have to take it to a bike shop for a tune-up. So I took it to a shop and they fixed the brakes but they had to replace the brake pads because they were worn. The service cost me $130. At this point the bike was 1 week old only and had 60 km of normal street riding so the brakes were obviously not adjusted properly at the factory.

Second, one of the wires came off the front headlight. On inspection, the soldered connection came loose and fell off the circuit board. It was obviously a manufacturing defect as the other was loose and came off with no effort. At this point the bike was 2 months old and had about 400 km of normal road use. I inquired about a warranty replacement but was first told that there was no way it could be a manufacturing defect and finally that they don’t guarantee lights and other peripherals. But they are happy to sell you a new one.

I enjoy riding the bike but the after-sales service has been frustrating and disappointing. Buy your bike a real bike shop where they can also service it.

Purchased two fat series trakker bikes, delivery was very quick assembly was very easy with awesome tech support due to my lack of mechanics. About the bikes well I was paralyzed with research on e-bikes until we got ours from alter ego bikes. Quality is amazing the ride wicked nothing better than watching my wife smile as she rocketed by me on the trail. Love our purchase thanks.

We bought 2 Freedom ST Commuters and both Kyle and Dorothy were very friendly and helpful explaining the different bikes and once we settled on the Freedom bikes with all the ins and outs of them
We picked them up and they explained all the functions again in detail, helped us load them and wished us well. As soon as we drove off the yard, I received an email with helpful hints, registration etc etc! They are very responsive in all their dealings. We had an excellent experience!
The same evening we took our bikes for a shorter ride. Everything was set-up properly, including a fully charged battery so we didn't have to do anything but get on and get going! We love our bikes, both in looks and function! Not a single negative.

Be aware of the shady owners of a company they will do anything to not have cover things under your warranty to them its your fault no matter what the cause is

Top notch, first class customer service and the best quality products available. My husband bought his Rebel Fold last year, and I bought my Mercane Force scooter early this year. Now we can scooter and ride together which we do almost every day. So much freakin' fun! Discovering places you would never come across commuting in a car. Fantastic customer service! I email them in the evening when I knew they were closed expecting a reply the next day, but I got a message almost immediately staying they would make me a video showing me how to attach the derailleur guard when they got back in the store the next day, and they did just that! Excellent, concise video made the task so easy!

I bought my mercane force scooter from alter ego bikes in January this year, and it has been my daily driver ever since. True to its reputation, it performs exactly like it is advertised, it goes up any hill, offers great range and speed, and is so fun to ride.
Last week unfortunately I had an issue with the battery where the scooter won't start even when fully charged. I immediately reached out to the store explaining to them the problem, and requesting them to sort it as soon as they can. Despite being busy with the ongoing rebate on e-bikes, they were incredibly accommodating and to my surprise even offered to advance my drop off appointment by a week.
Without any delay I handed over my scooter for inspection and repair. To my surprise within an hour I received an email informing me that the scooter is ready and the problem was with the battery and that they have replaced it with a new one. Upon my pick up, expecting just a battery change, I found the scooter completely tuned up. Brakes and suspension were calibrated, loose joints over the handles were tightened, and the scooter looked as good as new. To make things even better I wasn't charged a single penny, they had it all covered under the warranty.
I must commend the amazing customer service I have received so far from Alter ego e-bikes. I can't thank them enough for going above and beyond. I highly recommend them to anyone in search of e-bikes or scooters.

Me and my girlfriend just got 2 bikes from Kyle at alter ego and we can't recommend them enough.

The bikes ride great and feel super durable compared to other foldable bikes, the battery gives you plenty of range and there zippy enough that you don't wish you had more speed.

Kyle was really helpful when we were trying the bikes out at the warehouse and was very responsive to all emails 5-star customer service as well as high-quality bikes!

I love my e bike and have great respect for your help and explanations of any questions I asked. Your company is number one for great help I have received even this senior. I will recommend my great experience to anyone interested in an e bike.
