Ame Toy & Gift Store Japanese toys

TM's attitude was very bad. There was no price tag. I asked about the price. Then she said it was more than 1,000. I asked if it was RMB. She told me in a very arrogant and unreasonable manner that she might think others couldn't afford it. In this case, there was no need for me to buy it. You can change to another store and it’s not without money.

You can find some very rare things in this store. The prices are very fair to be honest. Some of them are even lower than the speculation prices in Japan and China. But some things are a bit expensive, but even if you include shipping costs and store operating costs, Fortunately, the shop owner is very talkative and has a lot of knowledge in this area. I have bought many Gundam models from this shop. I hope the business will be prosperous.

Terrible TERRIBLE customer service. Tried to overcharge me for something that CLEARLY had a price tag on it already. In no way would I pay OVER $50 for a tiny keychain lol. Literally ridiculous. I’ve been to plenty of Japanese toy stores & have NEVER paid that much. The staff were INCREDIBLY rude and I don’t even leave reviews but I had to make one for this place because I just couldn’t believe my experience. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IF IT WAS THE LAST JAPANESE TOY STORE ON EARTH.

If i could give a 0 i would. Worst japanese collectible store ive ever been to. Super high in price. Super rude staff. After leaving the store seeing the item i wanted was super expensive, i left and purchased the same item online DIRECTLY FROM JAPAN for $25 cheaper and that included shipping. Never returning and you should never come here either

A hidden gem to find authentic anime products/gatcha! The owner is well knowledged about the products he carries and is friendly and fun to talk to!

One of the best stores I’ve seen here in terms of stock. Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing amount of rare, new, old, and so forth items. I could spend my whole day here just looking at stuff had the items not be extremely overpriced and the store itself be very claustrophobic. And on top of that, they don’t allow photos, which I think is a bit ridiculous but it is what it is. The prices are so high that it would be cheaper to just buy it directly online from Japan and pay shipping, I’ve did the math. But I still recommend coming here, just to look at their cool items.

Extremely expensive and very dismissive person at the counter. When asking for help, he shooed me away and said no. Apparently the staff is more interested idling around than helping customers.

The store is full of treasures and is the best store resembling an actual Japanese hobby store in Asia.

However, the price is 15% higher than other hobby stores and 35% higher than buying from Japanese online stores.

Also the owner is so paranoid he kept monitoring everyone as if we are all thieves.

Price is bit too high, but there are many hidden treasures, so the 20% extra might be worth it.
