Amphitrite Point Lighthouse

The lighthouse is nice, but you're not allowed to get close and there was construction work going on when we were there. So it's better to go on the Wild Pacific Trail and just say hello to the lighthouse. Parking is not a problem in the off-season. Things can get tight in summer.

Love this point! Such amazing views and the trails are great. We goto Ukee every year and always visit this. If your looking for a nice walk with stops at the ocean you can hike a bit to the north.

It was amazing to stand in an exact spot of history. Educational. Puts things in perspective

Great birdwatching… saw bald eagles, brown pelicans, white-winged scoters and 39 other species of birds…

Not the Lighthouse but the Lighthouse trail loop and the Artist Loops on the Wild Pacific Trail are great.

Excellent trail! Very cool scenery: both forest, cliffs and sea views.
The lighthouse is small, but it's actually fully functional and guiding ships since 1915!

Highly recommend doing the loop trail. It's fairly flat and no mud in sight. Benches and toilets along the way makes for a easy hike.

A great little hike with interesting lookouts over the ocean. It was a busy location and the fog has just started to lift we got there at 10: 00 am by 11: 30 the sun broke through.

Must be a covid thing. Way too many people, especially for the middle of September. The trails and sights are gorgeous, nevertheless, of course.

The wild Pacific trail is a great way to see the wild Pacific Coast. Lots of places to stop and sit and enjoy the view.

The lighthouse and its surrounding are worth seeing, I particularly enjoy watching sea life, starfish, crabs and so one

Trails are easy walk for all ages.young and not so young! Amazing views. Sea breeze just clears your mind.

Too bad you can't go up to the lighthouse. It is still a neat place to explore. However we noticed a sign coming back which said the rocks area is for employees only, so if you want to walk around the beach, this is not your place. It is a nice looking light house though with good view points on a trail nearby

Such a nice place to visit, unfortunately they have blocked off many areas that you used to be able to walk around, like the beach area and the actual lighthouse. I guess too many tourists getting washed away by the waves.

Must be there during the winter storms! Should not cross the taped areas during strong winds, today I almost lost my ballance a number of times during strong gusts, and I can say that I am fit.
During spring you might see whales in the distance.
Also there are tide pools full of marine life.

Absolutely my favorite place on the the big island! Lots of trails, beaches, rain forest and many good places to eat!

Scenic walk along the ocean. Would be great on a stormy day. But was great even on a calm weather day like today

Very well maintained, clear directions. It’s currently one way, so distancing wasn’t an issue.

This is a must see in Ucluelet! Amazing views and great areas to sit and enjoy nature. I could have spent all day there.

Nice little lighthouse with a good view of the rocks. We didn't see any wildlife, bit based on the signs it's possible!

Beautiful area. Part of the Wild Pacific Trail. Benches placed along coastline allow you to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

Great walk with pretty views. The loop is easy 2.6km. Can be done in less than one hour. We will have to try the longer hike next time. Cute town and really enjoyed the bakery and sunday market after.

Lighthouse itself is meh, but the wild Pacific trail is stunning. Walk either side of the lighthouse and enjoy the views and lush coastline. If you're lucky, you'll spot whales etc.

Great trail loop around the lighthouse. 2.6 km walk. Informative plaques are dotted around with plenty of lookout points and benches.

Amazing trail with beautiful views. Part of the tail leads down to a beach and the are several sitting areas overlooking the water.

Well worth the trip. Amazing views loved the benches along the trail, each one was a different painting. Will not forget this place!

Worth the visit. Great views from from the lighthouse. Walked the trail for about 30 minutes from the lighthouse. Would recommend it.

This was an absolutely amazing experience. The weather wasn't the best but nevertheless it was as beautiful as ever. Just makes you wonder how it might have been back in the days. Would have liked to know a little bit of the history. You can also spot whales from the trail apparently but we weren't so lucky.
