I reached out to Andy hoping to find someone to help me repair my favourite cashmere sweater. I found Andy online as I noticed his tremendous skill in tailoring so I thought if I reached out he might give me an excellent referral for someone to help me. Fortunately, he offered to fix the elbows on my sweater himself!

He definitely took the time to do this small mending as if it was a custom made item! Andy helped me pick the color and walked me through my options. I really appreciate the time, exceptional workmanship, design and customer care that he provides!

I had the pleasure of working with Andy for my wedding. Throughout the process, he was professional, transparent with pricing, quick to respond, and genuinely kind - I could tell he always wanted the best for me. He sells, not just suits, but an experience - and a positive one at that. Andy and his assistant, Ayaka were proficient with organizing appointments for my Groomsmen and I to ensure each suit would be ready on time. One example where Andy went above and beyond was when I decided last minute to buy a made-to-measure shirt as my proportions are difficult to accommodate off the rack. I had originally paid for regular shipping with plans for it to arrive a few days before my wedding. Unfortunately, the place he partners with for the shirts were late in confirming the order and if sent with regular shipping, it would not have made it for my wedding day. Andy paid 50% of the expedited shipping out of pocket to ensure I got the shirt in time. Finally, as a wedding party, he provided us with competitive pricing for all of our suits and the quality was immaculate. Overall, I am happy with my experience and I will definitely come back for my future suits.

Most tailors can’t work with velvet due to it being a difficult fabric that is often incompatible with their machines. This was not a problem for Andy and his team, who gave me the dress of my dreams using a thrifted garment I had purchased for very little. Both the quality of work and customer service was exceptional. Highly recommend. (Pictures are before and after fitting)

Last month, I needed alterations for a bridesmaid dress I ordered online and the wedding was less than a week away! This business immediately caught my eye due to the high rating and genuine reviews from previous customers. Andy and Ayaka were very prompt in communicating with me and even kinder in person. Andy was very knowledgeable and his experience showed in changing the length in 3 aspects of the dress straps which ultimately resulted in a dress that was much more fitted to my body. I had my blazer for my wedding tailored by him and Andy was able to fix it on a rush order so I had it in time for my wedding! I've visited Andy Yuen Couture Tailors twice over the last month and have had wonderful experiences both times. Andy provided excellent customer service, was knowledgable about the product and what needed to be done, and was able to fit me in for a follow up on short notice. After my first fitting, I received a notification within four days that the first part of the alterations were already completed, during a very busy season. Would highly recommend Andy to others.

I would like to share with you my experience with Andy's Couture Tailoring. From the first time I met Andy I had a sense that he was someone who cared about what he does and who he does it for. He gives a consultation to find out your needs and what he can do for you. He goes through each step with the fittings of the garment and makes sure that you look your finest.

Andy is truly a master of his craft. I had a black tie event and a friend helped me find a reputable tailor. I'm 5'8" and needed a good black suit, shirt and tie. I talked to Andy over the phone and set up an appointment. He fitted me with a good Italian wool suit. He was able to rush the suit for my event and even brought it to me to save me time. I highly recommend Andy. You can see that he cares about his customers. It was a pleasure working with a true professional that takes pride in his work. I had a great experience and enjoyed the service that Andy provided. He is professional and really knows his stuff. I met him for reasons other than buying a suit but when we talked more about clothing I knew it would be a good decision to have a suit made. He started with an informative consultation, talked about the various options, and showed me the different ways to make a suit from fused, half canvas, to full canvas. He has a beautiful selection of fabrics and he helped me find one that was right for my needs. When the suit arrived he did fittings and made sure that everything fit well. I travel to Vancouver on business and he accommodated my schedule and even came to the hotel to deliver the final product. I can confidently recommend Andy for a great suit and excellent service.

Andy tailored a suit to fit me for my high school graduation. It was fairly priced and excellently done. He made sure I got exactly what I wanted and was going to be looking good. I highly recommend him and his company.

Andy was awesome! I received a suit for a wedding. The "custom measurements" were not so custom and the suit was WAY too large. I looked like a 12-year old trying on his dads suit. I needed the jacket within a week (I did naturally have to pay for a rush fee, but this is normal). The suit came back and fit perfectly. At the wedding, I actually got some comments that my suit fit very well. Andy was very professional and friendly the entire time. If you have a high end suit, Andy is your best bet for tailoring!

I came in only needing to shorten my dress pants but Andy went above and beyond to make sure my clothes fit me properly. My waist needed to be taken in by 3 inches which would mean the pockets would touch at the back which is not ideal. They did considerably more work by opening the waistband and the outside seam at pockets to let out so that the pockets would not touch. Not to mention they did it on such short notice and they put extra care to cater to each customer.

The team is clearly very knowledgeable, and excited to get you in a great fitting and well priced suit.

Andy is so responsive and skilled in his craft. He is exact in his work and I have been so happy with the results. He’s done a bridesmaids dress and a bridal jumpsuit for me. Great job.

I had to get my new suit tailored in such a short amount of time (3 days including holidays). When I gave Andy a phone call to discuss the details of the process, he explained all the specific parts that needed to be tailored and that the work would be doable at additional cost. I was able to wear a perfectly tailored suit for the two ceremonies I was planning on attending (Iron Ring ceremony and UBC Graduation). I also learned a lot about how tiny details change everything in clothing thanks to his expertise.

He also designs a lot of different suits on his own. The next time I need to get a new suit or re-do some work on my old suits, I am definitely hitting him up again.

I have been looking for some time to find some quality custom pieces. I did my research and made an appointment to see Andy. I was impressed by his consultation and years of experience. He listened to my concerns and issues with fit and showed me the process of how he ensures quality throughout all stages of his design process. He’s talented and designed the best fitting pair of jeans and two-piece suit I've ever owned. Andy set me up with a dark navy wool suit with star pattern inner lining, a navy dress shirt, and tie. The suit looks incredible. It's clear to me that he cares deeply about quality craftsmanship. I will definitely be returning.

I approached Andy about getting a suit that I purchased online tailored for my upcoming wedding. Andy's promotional images of his suits, shirts, and sweaters brought me in, though I was feeling nervous about my choice of suit and how ill fitted the original sizing was from my online order. I was treated well and felt the nervousness quickly vanish as we discussed ideas for style and fit, with Andy making keen observations and suggestions that helped me get the look I was hoping for. I went from feeling like I had made a mistake with my suit to feeling like I was a class act, and am very excited to see the final results and work with Andy in the future.

I cannot say enough great things about Andy and his work! I recently moved to the area and was in need of a great tailor for a few alterations. I chose to go to Andy after seeing all the wonderful reviews. He is an expert in his field and his attention to detail is unparalleled. He was able to adjust a few pairs of pants that were quite baggy/slouchy looking to fit me (5'11 female) perfectly. And I will say it is very rare to have pants fit perfect at my height. I am beyond pleased with the results! He also makes wonderful custom pieces which I will be returning for in the future should I need a new pair of pants. His assistant Ayaka is also super wonderful and helpful. Turn around time was great - I would highly recommend on all fronts!

When I first visited Andy and Ayaka I knew next to nothing about tailored clothing and especially how a good suit should fit. I had bought a Hugo Boss suit and knew it had to be fitted.

My friend Matt heard about Andy's tailoring skills. He did not disappoint! Even though we were both new to wearing suits. He took the time to understand our needs and answer our questions. He was both professional and accommodating.

Andy's passion bleeds though in their craft. He was careful and precise had me come for a couple fittings to make sure the shoulders were narrowed and the sleeves were at the correct length. One of my shoulders were quite low and was impressed Andy was able to correct it and make it balanced. When it was finished it fit perfectly. I was blown away by my experience with Andy and I have no doubt I will be working with them for many years to come.

I'm gonna be completely honest here. I never leave reviews. Don't ask me why, I just never get around to doing them. However, with Andy it's different. I've never met someone who is so concerned with making sure I get what I want. He went above and beyond for me. I genuinely can't thank him enough. A little bit about myself, I came to Vancouver in July 2021 from London. I love my fashion and I soon came to realise that the fashion scene in Vancouver is dead. I bought these leather jeans in London and whoever designed it needs to stay as far away from jeans as possible. How can you design leather jeans that are tight around the thighs but boot cut around the calves? Thanks to Andy this isn't the case anymore. He got them tapered exactly the way I wanted them to. You're rarely gonna find a guy who is this good with such affordable pricing. He loves and cares for his clients like no one else.
I buy all my clothes online now and you can be sure I will be taking them to Andy if I want them altered.

Andy did an amazing job tailoring my suit jacket! First, my jacket sleeves were too long. Andy was able to shorten the sleeves from the shoulder because of the surgeon cuff (working button holes). Additionally, he gave me good advice and told me that I didn't need to take it in at the waist, which allowed me to save money. Overall, he did an amazing job with my jacket and gave me exactly what I was looking for. His attention to detail and style helped me look my very best! I’ve been working with Andy for a number of years. I booked a trip to Italy and needed sportswear. I made an appointment with my wife and enjoyed the process. I love everything especially the jeans and more importantly my wife loves them too! The formal wear he made still looks great. I look forward to seeing him again and highly recommend his services.

We were in a rush to get ready for our daughter's wedding and Andy helped me with a tailored midnight blue plaid suit in gorgeous Italian fabric. The welcome was warm and the experience a great learning opportunity. Andy and his assistant Ayaka were professional and courteous with my extremely limited fashion knowledge. They did a great follow-up and promptly kept me informed of progress with the suit. It was ready on time. Thank you also for coming to the house when we were so busy preparing for our daughter's wedding. By the way, the wedding was beautiful and the suit a hit!

10/10 Andy's work is the only work I'll accept now.

- Both Andy and his assistant Ayaka are very professional and welcoming. There was not a moment where I felt out of place.
- Andy goes above and beyond compared to previous tailors I worked with.
- He consistently and respectfully asks for my opinion and take my questions and concerns into consideration.
- He takes into account my body shape, build, height, and posture when doing measurements.
- His attention to detail goes from top to bottom to buttons. Nothing is forgotten.
- He did everything in a timely manner and gave a pretty good approximate of duration.
- His prices are quite reasonable for the quality of work that gets done.
- He's extremely receptive to feedback.

Cons:
- Nothing noticeable. If I HAD to nitpick, he gets a bit too busy sometimes.

I contacted Andy after I was turned away from another tailor because I was told my alterations would be too difficult. When I first spoke with Andy I was really impressed with his customer service. It was clear that he pays high attention to detail and we were able to communicate efficiently to ensure he was able to complete my alterations to my liking. The end product was reflective of high quality workmanship. I am very happy with his service and will definitely be contacting him again with my future alterations.

I’m 6”6 and have a tough time finding suits to look good and fit properly. Being a financial advisor, I need to look the part. So I met Andy, & he did a great job helping me navigate the selection with fabrics, patterns, colours, fits, and all the other options with putting together well-made suits & shirts. What you're getting from Andy is a personalized and customized experience. I went to Andy for a made to measure suit and I am very happy with it as it is very well made and nicely tailored. Andy is a very talented tailor with a great eye for seeing what adjustments are needed for a nice, modern, and tailored fit. Andy is also very generous with his time and you will not feel rushed when you are at his studio. Of course, one does have to have reasonable expectations. While I think Andy's prices are very reasonable, his business is about offering a higher end personalized experience. It's not really the place to go to if what you want is bargain basement hunting. If you're ordering a customized piece such as a made to measure suit or something from his bespoke line, you pay a deposit for it first and then the rest after you had gone to Andy for a fitting and after Andy had done all the necessary tailoring to make it fit your body. Like any other customized products that you order customized for your needs, once you pay the deposit you shouldn't expect to be able to cancel and get your deposit back. That's just common sense and should be expected.

Andy is a true craftsman and professional in his field. He is thorough, precise and goes well above and beyond what one would normally expect from a tailor / designer. He is a hidden gem in the local market and I intend to get many more pieces from him. I'm not sure I can name any names, but ask Andy about whom else he's 'outfitted' and you may be surprised! He is a pleasure to work with and the product completely embodies the meaning of the word 'bespoke'. Go see him!

My suit had sleeves with surgeon cuffs which means they needed to be shortened from the shoulders. It's a much bigger job than shortening from the cuffs but Andy did it perfectly. I also had a couple pants adjusted and they turned out great as well with the proper breaks in them.

Andy definitely has a lot of expertise in men's clothing. As someone who haven't usually gone to a tailor, I really appreciated his guidance in terms of style and what would look good on me.
