The culture of this gym is amazing. This specific location has been a joy to workout at. The staff is abbbbsolutely wonderful. They are so encouraging in a super passive way that’s just kind and earnest. The people who come here are all very polite, and whether you’re a newcomer or a longtime lifter this place is super comfortable and has great equipment too.

I love this gym and 24/7 is just awesome for someone who loves to workout off peak hours. They recently renovated and made it even bigger gym, but I liked it cosier amd less busy than before. Gym is always clean amd they have decent amount of cardio machine that u are not waiting for it. It gets cold in there and wish they put the heat up a tiny bit in the winter, but that's just me. Parking is a pain in the butt. They have paid parking and be very careful because they will get you and find you and give u a ticket lol I got so many at that place even after paying. There are a few places u can park 2 hours for free and more of the parking for 2 hours free further on 1s Avenue. It's very safe gym at night, police station is right across it, so I feel safe working out late at night. The owner is super nice and smiles at everyone when he comes in. I can tell he cares about his customers.

I recommend this gym, people are there to workout and not pick up chick's, which gets really annoying. So if u are a girl, the guys will leave u alone there

Excellent staff! 24 hours offers superb flexibility. The gym is very well equipped with just recently expanding into the next building so there are enough weights for everyone. Keep in mind, it tends to get fairly busy towards the evening (4-7pm). Price for membership works fine for me however, might be steep for others depending on their goals.

By far the best experience I've ever had at a gym. The new expansion is amazing. Fantastic staff and great equipment. Love coming in and saying hi to the staff before heading in to do my sets. Don't think twice, check this place out!

Excellent gym. Large area as well. Only drawback is parking. If you come at night time, then you can park free on street. Daytime is paid parking. Their maximum dumbbell is 85Lbs. In short, excellent gym and great location as well.

What a great gym! Has a never ending feel to it! Nice and spacious, multiple areas for free weights/stretching. Plenty of cardio equipment even during peak hours! The showers were super clean also as was the rest of the club. A lot of natural light too which is always a plus! Also staff was SUPER welcoming and friendly!

It's the largest Anytime Fitness that I have ever seen. They have a lot of equipment, racks, dumbbells etc. You can work out in what ever you want. Buuuuuuut! It's also the only Anytime Fitness that have NO parking! How can this be possible? Fortunately we arrive at 5am so we can park in the street and didn't park for it, BTW, the parking meters are free from 10pm to 8am.

I joined Anytime Fitness about three years ago. One of the big benefits of the AF brand is their many locations scattered around the world and the unlimited access to them. I travel extensively so I really appreciate this benefit.
I've probably used over 30 AF locations and while they've all been quite acceptable, the False Creek location is my favorite. It's larger than the average AF and offers an extensive selection of excellent quality equipment. Importantly, Greg (the owner) and his team keep the place well maintained, clean/tidy, and disinfection wipes are readily available. They also replace the padded cushions on the equipment when the vinyl begins to crack and expose the sponge beneath it which otherwise becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. I've seen other gyms allow such deterioration to happen but not here, and I really appreciate that. I highly recommend Anytime Fitness in general but especially this location.

So apparently based on their website this gym is completely free. You don't need to pay for any memberships. Apparently I got to do is pay $1 and that's it there's no monthly cost. But it's also difficult to check on these details in person cuz I went there and there's no staff during the night time. Which is rather strange if there's ever an emergency with people utilizing the gym. It's highly dangerous actually since guests have no idea how the facility is built or organized.

The place is open 24hrs yet doesn't have someone on the desk 24hrs. The stairwell going up looks pretty beat. At night they request you wear a necklace alarm (which they provide) however, assistance is not immediate. It contacts the manager (I wasn't told how close or far away they are) and the fire dept. I was looking primarily for a gym that had later hours on the weekend so I could workout after work. I wouldn't feel safe here.

Been a member here for almost 2 years and I have no complaints. Staff is so helpful and accommodating, gym is clean and has all necessary equipment. The recent expansion provides more space and area which is awesome!

Awesome gym! Clean and Very well maintained. The personal trainers are always willing to go out of their way to help with 2 complimentary training sessions included. Overall a great experience!

Best Anytime location I've been to. Spacious and filled with everything you need + included storage lockers. Multiple lifting racks and the nicest stair-machine I've ever used. Treadmills are also really nice

Anytime Fitness feels like the perfect gym experience to me - knowledgeable and welcoming staff, well maintained and spacious facilities and complete, modern equipment. Highly recommended.

Edit: I come here every morning around 7-9 AM and every corner is being used. This gym desperately needs to expand.

The recent expansion (Fall 2022) is amazing. It makes this gym the belle of the ball when compared to facilities in the area.

Worst customer service ever!
Went through the cancellation process the other day. A year later realized that I’m still being charged. When came to the office to discuss this issue, the owner ‘worked out a deal’ with me. He didn’t know why it hasn’t been canceled (he personally did it), but refunding only a half of what’s been paid for. Now I wonder do they take advantage of international people?

Clean, flexible times, and friendly staff. They are always working to improve the facilities. The equipment is kept in great shape. I live the flexible hour and the very reasonable $10 guest drop in fee for friends you might bring along.

Excellent staff, 24 hours is needed go get the flexibility I require. We'll equipped for the size of the location. I usually go early in the morning as it gets busier towards the evening. Price is a little steep, but worth it in my opinion as you can use any location world wide and "anytime". I will continue to be a enthusiastic member.

I've been extremely pleased and grateful to have not only the equipment and anytime fitness gyms at my disposal but also the incredible service. My local is north Burnaby and the Olympic village branch today was just as hospitable. Having access to such a great gym and a great range of staff is a blessing and I highly recommend anyone interested in bettering themselves both physically and mentally to give them a try!

Anytime Fitness False Creek itself is a good gym. It is conveniently located and I felt safe going at "anytime" of the day as it is across the street from Vancouver Police Department's head office on Cambie Street. The problem with this location is one of their trainer's - Nidia Barrios. She is a bully. She shames clients, belittles them and imposes her old school way of seeing the world on them. This includes archaic gender roles and intolerance toward people of colour and LGBTQ2+ peoples. I went to Anytime Fitness to make a change in my lifestyle and try to improve my mental health. Nidia took this away from me. In fact, through her snide comments and disparaging remarks, she made me feel worse causing me to dip deeper into my depression. Nidia has no business working in a client centered industry as she clearly has no interpersonal skills. Go to Anytime Fitness False Creek, but avoid Nidia at all costs.

Rude and unhelpful staff. Refused to let me do a free trial because I forgot my BC ID, even though I had plenty of other identification on me. Won't be back! Going to try goodlife

Have been a member at the False Creek location since it opened in 2013-14ish. Greg and staff have maintained the facility very well since it opened, the gym is clean and the upkeep in constant. I have seen other 24hr clubs and the maintenance usually falls off over the years but I am happy to say that the cleanliness and up keep here has been constant. It has everything that is needed and i have no complaints about the False Creek location!

Fantastic place.

Niels and Greg have been a massive asset. Both of them are personable and able to tailor the PT sessions to the individual taking them. Greg himself has been flexible and understanding to work with members and help them grow in their personal journey.

The location is also great since it's right on the line, and open all the time!

This is a wonderful gym! I'm a retired lawyer who rarely writes reviews. I've been using gyms since 1983. In all of those years, I've never seen a gym as well maintained and clean as the Anytime Fitness gym near Olympic Village. At the time of this writing, we are in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. By law, one must have a vaccine passport to use the gym. The public health requirements are clearly posted and gym members comply, wearing masks and regularly wiping down the equipment that they have used. Plus, I especially appreciate the ability to use the gym late at night.

Amazing customer service, prompt and professional. Not to mention awesome equipment and great location.

Greg and his team are doing everything they can to keep a safe and clean environment for us to stay strong and healthy in. This is a top notch run facility that I highly recommend.

An all around excellent gym. Clean, bright, spacious, modern/smart equipment, awesome showers, endless variety of gear, snacks, lockers and a super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Such a positive experience exercising here. Plus their attention to protocols, regulations and sanitation and keeping their members safe during these times has been beyond incredible. Greg and his team are world class. 5 stars!

Great facilities, they were always super clean when I was there and the staff would regularly make rounds of the gym to clean and make sure people were keeping a good distance. Amazing customer service - they've always been incredibly helpful and understanding. I can't say enough good things about how kind Greg and his team are!

Another chain gym that is in it for the money.

They only have three squat racks and one extra barbell for deadlift. They don't devote enough floor space to barbells and they have too many cardio and single exercise machines. It's a classic example of having machines that appeal to people who never show up while the people who do show up all crowd the strength equipment. I often arrive to find all of the power racks in use while most of the cardio machines are empty. Also, they are pretty bad at restocking disinfectant wipes.

I really love this location. They've made the most of the space (especially when distancing is so important, this has been so helpful!) & the staff are always amazing.

Clean facility and not to busy during the times I go. Even when it is busy there is enough squat racks (3) so the wait is never too long. Would recommend to others.

The best fitness club in Vancouver. For less than 2 dollars a day, you get a boutique club in Yaletown which includes free towel service. Everything is clean and the location is right in front of the Yaletown Seawall. A true dream come true.

Out of all the Anytime Fitness locations I've been to, this one is by far the most clean and well-maintained. It is also larger than the average gym with plenty of equipment. It is within walking distance to the Skytrain station (Canada Line) and local buses.

Tried visiting this location during their staffed business hours so I could talk to someone in person about the gym, membership and see the facilities. Rang the doorbell several times and waited nearly 10 minutes outside. No one ever came. Well that's one sure way to ruin a first impression of how a business is run. Had high hopes for the gym but if they can't even answer their door, I'd hate to know what it would be like with a membership and if I had any problems that needed addressed. I'll be taking my business elsewhere to a gym that has people actually there when they state their business hours are staffed.

I’ve been going to this gym for over a year now. Unlike other gyms this place is kept in pristine condition. All the machines are well maintained, the space is clean and more importantly, the staff here is amazing and friendly.

The owner Greg is down to earth, humble and cares for his members. While the staff, shoutout to Maria, Kendra and Niel are friends of mine I look forward to seeing every time I hit the gym. The PT trainers Lucy and Andy are friendly as well.

Since committing myself to fitness i’ve seen great results and I’m currently in the best shape of my life. Thanks to this great facility and the people that supported me along the way.

I have been a member at Anytime Fitness for close to a year. This is my home gym and I love it.

I've been members at others local gyms in the past and this, in my opinion, is a lot better in many ways.

This gym has excellent managers who are easy to conversate with and give good advice on training and nutrition. They seem genuinely interested in your personal fitness goals and they want to help you achieve it. They are approachable, friendly and accomodating. The equipment has always been clean, the people are friendly, respectful and I haven't had any issues with overcrowding like I've had at other "franchised gyms. "

Anytime fitness' overall setup makes me feel motivated to workout every time I walk through the doors. Plus, they are truly a 24 hour gum with no holiday restrictions.

One aspect I look for in a gym are private change rooms and showers. This facility's private rooms are clean and towel service is provided.

The dumbbells don't go higher than 85lbs. The equipment is more than adequate for my needs. I was would say that I am at an intermediate - advanced level in my workouts.

Great location with lots of washrooms, shower rooms and 2 changing rooms. Tidy space. Convenient spot for most of people.

It's a decent gym. I decided to go here because it's close to where I live. I wish I had the energy to make my way to club 16 at waterfront to save money, but I just don't.

ISSUES:
1. This gym makes you clean the machines, but the wipes are clearly not recyclable, compostable, or reusable. (Can we please get to a point where this is illegal? It creates way too much waste). Anytime Fitness, *please* consider switching to something like compostable tissue with a biodegradable cleaner. My previous beloved gym, Port Moody recreation center, does exactly this with signs to not throw anything else in the compost. The lack of environmental concern is almost a dealbreaker for me.

2. The music is way too loud. Turn it down or better yet, turn it off. I own a pair of Sony XM2, which are insanely noise-cancelling, and I can still hear it through my headphones with music on lol.

3. Expensive. No classes included. Yeah it's Vancouver but at least throw in a few classes or something. I paid half the price in Port Moody for classes included lol

If something better comes along in the area, with better environmental choices and a decent deal, I'd switch.

It was great until you try to contact them about your membership then they totally ignore emails

Wonderful gym. Friendly and welcoming. They remember your name. The manager remembered the names of my sons who left the gym a year ago when they left the area!
The gym and showers are kept immaculately clean.
The trainers are interested and motivating.
Overall it has everything I would want in a gym

The best gym I've been to. Amazing owner whos super friendly and the staff are out of this world. They have a great selection of equipment. Highly recommend.

Minus 2 stars. Reason is simple.

One, they have removed the shoe rack. Now I have to carry heavy sport shoes everywhere I go! This is so annoying. I don’t really understand why they removed it. It’s not very thoughtful for customers.

Two, the new beauty bar is not working efficiently. Since this club doesn’t provide hair blowers, people spend time in the washroom as much as they did before the renovation. They should put hair blowers at the beauty bar just like Denman club does. (Well this is what I initially thought they would do for renovations, but they did not) (so I still have to bring my hair dryer to the club.)

Other than above problems, everything else is great. I like equipments and people here. I definitely recommend this gym if you don’t mind those things stated above.

Really nice facilities and very friendly staff. They've thought of everything - providing keys with lockers, towels for your shower, nice clean machines and benches with plenty to go around. Definitely the nicest gym you can get at the price and it's never been so busy that I can't complete my entire workout which happens frequently at other chains.

I love it. Great staff, clean gym, a lot of bathrooms and free towel Service. Best gym i've ever been.

Super great facility. Staff is friendly, and there's a variety of equipment to suit your particular work out routines. Private single stall bathrooms. People of all ages, fitness levels and experience seem to frequent here which has been a pleasant experience compared to other gym cultures.

The coherent atmosphere trickles down from the owner. He’s attentive to detail, in a most congenial way. Out of the around 30 AF gyms I’ve been to in North America this one is tops.

Very spacious gym, always has room and equipment available. The owner, Greg and his staff are also great people to be around as they’re always helpful and welcoming. I go out of my way to go to this location than the other ones near my house. Definitely my go to location for Anytime Fitness!

Really great gym! I have been a member for about a year and it's been great. Everything is always clean. I usually don't go during "peak" hours, but I've never had a problem with feeling like it's overcrowded at all. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. There's also some free 2 hour parking in the area and cheap meter parking which is a bonus!

I was once interested in joining Anytime Fitness and sent an email asking for a quote. They claimed to be a non aggressive sales gym. I've received countless of emails from multiple people from their office so I would beg a differ.

I've lost interest in signing up with them and quite frankly, found them extremely aggressive and annoying.

Month to month membership and they want 30 days notice to cancel. I could see if I was on a term and moved but thats a bit much for a month to month.

I love how clean this gym is. There has never been any issues with any equipment since I've been there, and the best part is that it's never too crowded. The staff is super nice, and you'll often see the owner Greg around, working out, or working with his staff. You can tell he really cares about our experience there.

Overall, there's just a friendly vibe, and it's got everything you need!

I would say the only feedback for the gym, is that there could be a leg lift machine for abs, and pre-loaded straight barbells. It's definitely not a negative, those are just the only two things I would incorporate into the gym.

They charged me $15 for a session and never even bothered themselves tried to explain how their plan goes.
No good treadmill. Little dirty lockers.
Clean shower and changing room was the only good part.
First time experience in Anytime Fitness and I am so disappointed. Went there just to see if Anytime Fitness is good so I can decide weather to sign up for the other branch that is going to open near my house within next two weeks or not. Although both branches manager is the same person apparently, but they charged me $15 as soon as they find out I want to register for another branch.
