Literally the best authentic Indian food I have ever had! The location is a bit questionable but those places always have the best food. 10/10

The app is on to good to go! Thought we would try it out pick up between 8-9. Was at 8 not prepared, rude, and some white rice and tofu in sauce! Wow waist of time! Don’t use this app for them as it’s a disappointment, plus I will tell every one how rude and the food is gross and waiste of time! Paid 5 & for food and said it was 18$! This was a cheep way to use the app! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

They took advantage of my family. Because our dad is not well, our mom did all of the work in dealing with vendors for our little sister's wedding. I guess Surjeet Kumar thinks that he can take advantage of women like that. He brought stale leftover food from another party. Our guests got sick by eating it. It was a once in a lifetime event for us, our little sister's wedding. It was disgusting what he did. Our sister and mom did not once try to haggle either! They paid the exorbitant prices he deemed necessary because it was a "small event. " He even raised the prices for no reason, closer to the wedding, they still did not argue and they paid. But Surjeet Kumar still thought it necessary to bring stale leftover food from another party for our wedding. I hope you never do this to another family.

Very hard working people
We have tried out all of the other Indian restaurants around Kelowna but we keep coming back to this one! The service and food has always been excellent. We have used this restaurant for take out and the quality has always been superb!

Food is very good and reasonable price.staff is very friendly, I never had such a delicious food in canada.

Amazing Yammi and crunchy Indian food restaurant running by Experience chefs locally Kelowna with nice taste of home made recipes Tanoori Tikka Yummi fully loaded and marinated Fish cunks & full Quantity and loaded with salad

These guys catered my sister’s wedding and her related events. They are crooks! They made us pay exorbitant prices because we were catering for a “small” party. First of all, we ordered for 50 people, and we only had 44 guests, and the food was not enough! Worse than that, they sent over leftover stale pakoras. It was so obvious because not only did they taste stale and gross, they were the small pieces that get left over when the bigger pieces have been picked over. They also did not honour the menu we agreed upon. We asked for gulab jamuns as they are the groom’s favourite dessert. There were no gulab jamuns, but instead jalebis showed up. It was as though they literally brought over food left over from another party. This was so disheartening. My parents worked so hard to put on these events and this wedding and even paid the high prices per head because Surjeet Kumar deemed it too small of a party. And even after ripping my parents off with those prices, they did this. We will never get this opportunity back. My parents’ hard work, months and months of preparing for these events is all in the garbage. Literally, every plate had leftover pakoras on it that went into the garbage because they were stale and disgusting. How dare you, Surjeet Kumar. You are disgusting. My parents did not deserve this. I hope you get what you deserve.

Our staff of 30 ordered lunch at Apni Rasoi. The food was delicious, hot and plentiful. Will definitely order again!

The absolute best Indian food in town. Had their malai kofta and kadhai paneer. Nothing in town compares. Their naan are the best. Highly recommend

I had my wedding and one pre-wedding event catered October 8 and 9th and it’s taken me a month to be able to write the review. It was a very upsetting experience that has very sadly overshadowed my experience with my family and friends during my wedding.
We first met with Surjeet Kumar in April of 2022 – just after he’d catered my cousin’s week long event. He told us that he would only agree to my wedding (which was very small in comparison) if we paid a higher price. We agreed, we did not once try to haggle down his rate. He also told us that he was taking our contract because it helps get his name in Vernon. We paid a deposit.
Surjeet was difficult to communicate with over the summer but we were patient and agreed to meet the week before the wedding. In October, when we met, his attitude had changed. He told us that our guest list was too small and that we’d have to pay an even higher rate. We were disappointed, but we agreed. Even when our guest count more than doubled (to account for Gurudwara sangat), Surjeet didn’t go back to our original rates.
On the day of our maiyan, the food arrived almost two hours late. I was not able to enjoy my time with my family and friends who had travelled so far to see us because I was focused on feeding my guests. I called Surjeet twice and he was dishonest about when his staff had left.
When the food did arrive, it wasn’t what we agreed on and it wasn’t fresh. The pakoras were so stale that I saw my guests throw out full platefuls. The guests not from the culture weren’t able to identify right away the pakorey were stale and got sick from the food – really upsetting to have my brother in law sick the morning of our wedding. We also didn’t receive the gulab jamun which were especially requested for the groom. The naan at the maiyan and at the wedding were also day old (at minimum) ; it was very obvious as they were dry and brittle. As well, for the maiyan, we ordered enough food for 50 guests (we had 44 in attendance) and the food ran out. My own sister didn’t eat at my maiyan. The fact that we paid premium prices for this food was absolutely deceitful.

Overcharged and underdelivered.
My family hired Apni Rasoi Taste of India to cater a wedding. Here are their "greatest hits" -
1. They arrived late
1A. They gave no warning that they would be late (a simple text would have bene nice!)
2. A lot of the food was cold
3. They didn't honour the agreed-upon menu
4. They clearly served left-overs from a previous catering event they hosted
5. They OVERCHARGED for all the above!
This would be funny if it were a Seinfeld episode, but not so funny during a once-in-a-lifetime wedding with family that travel across the world to attend.
Avoid this "business" at all costs!
