Enjoyed my dinner here! The dinner box comes as-is the photo plus miso soup, salad and ice cream. Quick service, friendly staff, great food!

Neighborhood Japanese restaurant with an authentic vibe! Food here is great, has been for a decade! Very consistent day in day out

Expensive and my friend and I got sick. Have no idea which dish I ate that caused me and my friend to feel awful but I wouldn't go back again.

Paid $40 for 7pcs of uni but they cheated on their customer. They put 4 regular ones and 3 poor quality and smelly uni.

Came in person and wasnt served any tea or water nor given any plates, chopsticks or soy sauce.got served half of my food and had to ask the waitress to serve the rest? They were closing at 9: 30 and i was served my food by 8: 50,10 mins in the waitress rudely told me to pay the bill right that moment.didnt leave any tip for being rushed and served inappropriately.waitress had the audacity to turn back and ask why tip was not given.i was not happy with the service and felt rushed.she dismissed the points i had made and asked if there were any other reasons.just smiled and said i didnt like service in which she kept asking if there were other reasons.after not responding the waitress went back and whispered mandarin amongst the chefs and other coworkers.i felt degraded and uncomfortable so i left the rest of my food.the current management has totally ruined the reputation of this restaurant.

The food is good, not great, but good. The service? Really not good. It feels like you're inconveniencing them by being there.

It's OK. I would rate it 3.5 stars. Food quality is is not up to the level of some of Vancouver's fancier sushi places, but for a casual meal it's fine. For comparison I would rate Sushi Wow's quality half a notch higher. Service is courteous, but not outright friendly.

This place gets my applause. Came as a party of 10, and they got everyone's order right and it was fast and everything was fresh and hot! The food was amazing and delicious. This is a fantastic sushi place. I give it a 10/10!

I love coming here for their lunch specials, reasonable priced for the food they offer. My favourites are definitely their chopped scallop rolls and recently came out with their tuna poke bowl and its sooooooo good! I so recommend you getting that. Limited parking place in the parking lot, but very easy to find parking space around the nearby neighbourhood!

This sushi place is always fabulous. The food is fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. We've been going here for years and thought it was time they got the 5 star review they deserve. Thanks guys!

Quality has gone way durn compared to when they first opened. Staff rudely whisper amongst themselves in Mandarin thinking we do not understand them.

Great place, good service fresh food. They took us in close to closing, which was very nice of them. Their sashimi is fresh, and tempura is light. It's hard to find a place that does everything solid. The only thing was the rice was slightly too acidic for me. Overall, I would come back to this place.

Delicious little sushi restaurant. The fish is extremely fresh and the rolls were awesome as well. Our hosts ordered so I can’t remember the names of all of them, but we pretty much ordered one of each and loved them all! It’s not that large of a restaurant so recommend making a reservation if you’re with a group. It’s not in a high foot traffic area though so it seemed like most people there were regulars or from the neighbourhood. No crazy lines at the door or anything.

Super good and cost-effective! I saved this place long time ago for bento box. Very surprised that they offer pressed sushi as well. We ordered a bento box, a unagi pressed sushi and a rainbow roll. All were very tasty. The tempura was well fried but not oily. Will difinitely come agian sometime. Their free orange after meal is cute!

Great, affordable option. They don't sacrafice quality for price. I like the seasonal selection of seafood on top of the regular menu items. We come here every time we visit vancouver.

Our favorite Japanese restaurant. Sashimi offerings are fresh and daily specials are a real treat! We also enjoy the croquettes, mentaiko udon, and mango paradise roll! Mmmmm!

First time eating at this restaurant. We arrived before the dinner rush so service was quick. Thoroughly enjoyed the food that I ordered. Would recommend this place.

Quick lunch. Su-udon with California roll plus side order of tamago sushi.tamago is on the sweet side.undon was nice and hot. I finally had a California roll with both avocado and cucumber.:) service was fast.parking can be a challenge but you can always park on the side streets.

First time here, went for lunch. Place was small, cozy & virtually empty. 3 of us had soup noodles & the fourth had fried noodles plus we ordered a sushi dish. The soup noodles & sushi was average. The fried noodles was fried together with an equal portion of bean sprout which probably was old, making the dish taste funny & soggy. Also the tea was served cold and never refilled until it was time to pay the bill. In brief, service was poor & food was not authentic. From the conversation of the staff & sushi chef, it seems like this place is run by Mandarin speaking Chinese - just an observation on my part. Sorry no Applause from us: - (

Had a great night out with friends at Applause. I would highly recommend their pressed sushi as it was very delicious. The price was a little expensive, but the service was very good
