Had Applewood install new heating duct work and furnace at our place. Robert and Mark went over and beyond in getting it all done in one day, even though they had to stay overtime to make it happen on such a short notice. Their pricing was very fair and the workmanship was excellent. Would highly recommend Applewood to anyone without hesitation.

We had Brent out in December to service our furnace, and were impressed by his knowledge. He went above and beyond to explain things to my husband, what he was checking for and why, and gave other maintenance tips that we could watch over ourselves to keep our house safe/in good condition. Excellent service!

Shane and Mark came to replace our furnace today and the whole experience was great from start to finish. Very happy with our new quiet furnace.

I wanted to give Scott a huge shout out. I purchased a home with no AC, I called Applewood near the end of June, Scott was over at my home within 2 days of the call to have a look. The unit was installed June 30th this was all due to: His professionalism and attention to the details along with answers to my questions took me by surprise. He arrived with a master electrician to confirm panel questions, they levelled the pad for the unit, did a clean installation on the exterior. The running of the wire to the panel was done discreetly thru the bulkhead, the floors were cleaned when they finished. It's hard to find a company with employees who go above and pay attention to those details. The quick turn over time has to be my biggest rave for them. Overall I can not recommend them enough.

On Dec 23 during the cold snap our furnace packed it in. These guys responded immediately and came out the next morning on Christmas Eve day to install our new furnace in our rental place. Our tenants were so happy they came so soon and said they were in and out without any issues. Thank you to Rob G for being there for us when we needed the help. Brent was terrific! Thank you so much for doing the service maintenance on my gas fireplaces and my gas furnace as well as suggesting I invest in a new smoke and CO alarm which I have now done. Brent also checked a few other things like my gas hot water heater and will come back in a couple of weeks to replace a filter on the humidifier when it arrives and new thermal couplers for the fireplaces. I'm impressed with the work that has been down. I really appreciated having a day and a time of arrival made in advance.

Woke up to a very warm home on a Saturday, the only day of the week Applewood is closed. But they have a 24-hour line, Glenn was at hour house in an hour, 30 minutes later the temp was going down.thank you SO MUCH!

We are very pleased with the team at Applewood! Scott took the time to explain our options for furnace/ac vs heat pumps and provided a reasonable quote with multiple different product options. The installation crew cleaned up as they went and we were left with little to no mess after a week long project. Everyone we dealt with was professional, helpful and honest. Would definitely recommend.

I called Applewood Heating & Air Conditioning Ltd to find out the cost of a hot water tank replacement. I found the girl who answered the phone Cat to not be very informative in answering my questions and very abrupt. Actually extremely rude. I was quoted $2199. When I shopped around this was at least $300 more then other competitors in the area. Applewood Heating & Air Conditioning Ltd.appears to be taking advantage of inflation and price gouging. Suggest you take your business elsewhere.

I have used Applewood for a few years now for my AC units. I recently purchased a new one through Applewood and they made the process very easy and low stress. They were able to install the unit sooner than expected and they were very easy to deal with.

Later, I had some renovation work that involved unhooking and moving the AC unit, which they were able to come out and do with no issue. Months later I needed them to hook it up again and again their service was fast, efficient and professional; they got back to me very quickly and squeezed me in on the same day. I highly recommend using their services to anyone, they have been nothing short of fantastic!

I left a voice message on Sunday and had a call back at 7: 45 am on Monday! Super quick response time, and they were able to fix our broken furnace the same day. I've used Applewood before and they're always quick to return calls and professional service. Thanks!

Applewood will never have my business again. They tried pushing my mom to get a new furnace and refused to find out why it stopped working after their installer repaired it. He decided to replace her thermostat and didn’t send the invoice. Instead they sent me a review request on Google and Facebook. I called the receptionist a few days later and she complained how my mom was upset after they told her to get a new furnace when she asked for someone to come back and investigate. She doesn’t need a new one yet.

Right from the start we were impressed by all of the staff at Applewood Heating & Air Conditioning. They listened to our needs and requirements, were very timely in their response time for the quote and installation then a follow-up inspection a week later. The installers were professional, courteous and did an amazing job from start to finish. Overall, a good honest company and group of people to deal with.

We have used Applewood Heating for our furnace servicing for several years with Rob doing most if not all the servicing. So when we had an issue with our AC suddenly not providing the cooling we needed, it was natural for me to call Applewood Heating for a service call. Given the time of year when AC systems usually have problems, I was expecting to have to wait for a week before I could have anyone come to our rescue. When I phoned to book an appointment, I was given one only two days later. I received an email confirming the timing of the service call, then on the day of the appointment the serviceman called to see if he could arrive earlier than the booking (2hrs earlier) naturally we said yes.
I wasn't sure which service technician would arrive but was happy to see a familiar face (Rob) show up. He diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes, had the needed replacement part with him, did the replacement in about another 10 minutes and was on his way shortly thereafter, and we had a working AC again and were happy to pay the much less than expected invoice amount.

Our first experience of Applewood, and certainly not our last. Dean was very professional and helpful when checking out our heating, A/C and fireplace.
We will definitely call them in the future. We felt we were in good, honest hands.

If you want an honest plumbing and heating place look no further. We have dealt with Applewood for a few years now for various issues. From maintenance on our gas fireplace to a new heater installation in my husband’s work shop (running a gas line from house to shop and of course the heater unit - all excellently done!). They never disappoint. Latest concern cropped up - Do we need a new air conditioner. New house old air conditioner called Applewood to get a quote. The salesman Scott came out as soon as he had a few minutes to squeeze us in and that was a couple days before the actual appointment I had scheduled. He said no need a/c good for another 5 - 7 years and suggested we just get maintenance done. Tech was here yesterday my A/C is now running like a brand new unit. Thank-you Applewwood!

We had a new Honeywell thermostat installed and a major repair done to our air conditioner. The thermostat ended up being quite a job due to the way the system was originally installed. In the end, I was very happy with the work Glen and Pam did to resolve my issues and ensure that everything was working properly. Pam went above an beyond to explain my bill and ensure I understood the charges and I left the call feeling I was treated fairly. Applewood will continue to get our household's business in the future.

Nick came to repair my Furnace (Heat Pump) in December a week before Xmas I found him honest and to the point. I also had him check my gas fireplace which was not performing as it should have been. Pam went out of her way to find me new replacement logs for this 14 year old Napoleon gas fireplace. Yesterday, Dean arrived and cleaned jets on fireplace and installed new log set. Once again, outstanding service.

When the heat pump in our Armstrong home quit working, we had a nearby contractor diagnose it as needing a new compressor. Due to the age of the system we decided to contact three companies for quotes on replacing the heat pump portion of the furnace. The folks at Applewood Heating and Air Conditioning responded fast and were very easy to talk to. They were also the only company that took the extra time to do a heat load calculation on our home to insure the new equipment would be sized for optimal efficiency. They provided detailed quotes and quickly answered all of our questions about the various options available. We felt very comfortable choosing Applewood Heating and Air Conditioning because of their great communication, honesty, professional workmanship, value, punctuality, and follow up quality control plan.

Woke up to -16c weather and our furnace not working. I talked to Pam on the phone at 7: 30am. She took our booking and had a repairman (Glen L.) at our door by 9am. It took Glen about 2 minutes to determine why the furnace wasn't working and start doing the repairs. Glen also took the time to do a quick maintenance check which resulted in him cleaning a part that is necessary for continued good operation to ensure I won't be calling them back in the near future.
With their computer system Glen was able to review our file on his tablet prior to starting work so he was well aware of the furnace's history.
Applewood did the furnace install 20 years ago, the air conditioning (a couple of years later), & hot water tank (4 years ago) and has maintained them all since installation.
10: 00am, a mere 2.5 hours after my call, Glen had completed the repairs and was on his way to the next call.
The best part (other than having a working furnace) was the bill was more than reasonable.
I don't usually do reviews and I don't usually recommend businesses to anyone. I will make an exception to that rule for Applewood. If I need any work done in the future they'll be my company of choice and if someone asks I will be giving them a two thumbs up reference.

Charged me for 7 hours each tech when they were only at my house for 4.5 hours each, and 1.5 hours of that they were both sitting in the van waiting for parts.
I asked for a copy of the permit I paid $120 for 5 times and never even got a response (Im betting because I didn't actually buy a permit). Double money grab! Stay away!

The team at Applewood were incredibly responsive from the moment my furnace started acting up (on a Sunday of a long weekend). They were careful to fully diagnose the problem, didn't charge me an arm and a leg, got my furnace up and running very quickly and were a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Applewood.
