Ordered some Aquarium Coop products and some plants. Order was shipped well packaged and with care to adapt to the changing weather. Communication was fast and efficient. Could not be happier. Will purchase again.

I haven't been to the store yet.
I asked one question last night, and the response was fast, knowledgeable, and polite.
I will be definitely picking up all my equipment and fish from this store.
And by reading the other reviews, I'm sure they won't disappoint.
Makes me even more excited about starting a new tank after 18 years of not having fish.

Picked up a couple black tiger badis from here. Haven't had a chance to browse yet but I'll be back to do that for sure.

Decided to order the famous Aquarium coop all in on fert and added a few plants. Shipped on Monday. Got package on Thursday morning (south shore Montreal). Well packaged. Healthy plants. Will order again for sure.

Recently bought live some shrimps and potted plants. As they have advertised in their website any order over $200 gets a discounted shipping fee. My order was above $250 and tbh i was a little thrown off with the shipping fee. So I didn’t place my order. Then I received a call from darrin and he advised me to place the order and he gave me good discounted shipping rate. Later darrin found out that he was shipping the order at a loss. But still darrin kept his promise and shipped the order at a loss. The main thing that amazed me was he kept his word and did not go back even if he was shipping at a loss. I am pretty much sure if it was someone else, they would definitely charge me more for shipping and would have not left me any choice. I really enjoyed the business and will be doing more business with Aprils aquarium. I will also be referring them to my aquarium group. The shipment was from BC all the way to Ontario. Great packing and there guaranty to the products let it be live stock or dry good or live plants is top notch and a huge shout out to there after sale and customer service. It is very difficult to find this committed service.

April's is always a treat to visit any time I travel to Vancouver! Beautiful storefront, gorgeous aquascapes, unbeatable selection, healthy animals and helpful staff!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars- the experience and customer service we had was phenomenal! There was a huge array of selection and top notch products in the store. The owner was so knowledgeable and helpful, and gave me great advice for setting up my first tank. Since I took transit there, the team offered to drive my tank home to make things easier:) if you have an aquarium or are looking into getting one, this is absolutely the place to go! I could not recommend April’s Aquarium enough and we will definitely be back!

Called randomly today looking for a replacement aquarium, and talked to the owner. What a great dude! We had an in depth conversation about the future of the hobby, potential replacements for my tank. He offered me an incredible bundle deal as well, it was just a great and refreshing experience. I will 100% buy all my plants and all my fish from there moving forward just based on this one interaction. Can't wait to see what April's will be like in the near future with the new showroom.

My friend and I came here to get her set up with her first aquarium and betta. I came along to check it out, but let me tell you this was such a fun and fantastic experience! The owner greeted us at the door offering some cold drinks because of the humidity, and continued to make our experience fantastic as we browsed. He was very transparent and told us what to spend more money on and what was just a cash grab. I am not a very consumption oriented person and don’t always love going to stores but this was such a blast. 1000% recommend.

I LOVE this place! The owner is a gem (and great with toddlers) with a wealth of knowledge. The staff that I've talked with are always super helpful and knowledgeable too. Lots of selection with great lighting to really enhance the fish. Also have examples of gorgeous aquascapes on display. They also carry Aquarium Coop brand!

I am a long time fish keeper, and never miss a chance of getting into a fish store; and I must say that April's Aquarium is simply a JOY to visit! Everyone is very helpful and answers your questions in great detail. This, combined with the high quality and variety of their products and fishes, has really helped me dive deeper into the hobby. I also love their free tanks through membership points, which helps me build more aquascapes from time to time!

Staff is always helpful and very knowledgeable. Also a very good selection of fish and many other aquarium essentials.

The store is clean, large and well stocked. Equally importantly, the customer service is exceptional. Generous time given to us to answer our questions and offer advice when the store was clearly busy.

My boys (and I) enjoyed our time here; Darren, the owner, is friendly, good with kids, knowledgable and customer oriented. We’ll be back.

I discovered Aprils Aquarium about a year ago when I was looking for a new rimless tank. Since then I have come back to Aprils for fish and aquarium supplies despite there being closer aquarium stores to my home. The owner Darrin, is always extremely helpful and provides good advice, top-quality products, and very competitive pricing. His selection of freshwater tropical fish is excellent and if he doesn't have what you are looking for, he can special order it. If you are in the area and interested in tropical fish make sure to stop by. You won't be disappointed.

Awesome store the place is so clean and staff were very helpful and friendly to me. The plant selection is great and the fish selection is even better. I like how healthy all the fish looked you can tell they really take care of the fish. Great stuff!

Had a great experience with April’s Aquarium! I have never had the chance to go in but was able to purchase a few things on a delivery run to the okanagan! I think they deserve five stars just because of that; not many businesses are willing to spend an entire day driving to make deliveries out of town. They care a lot about their customers and did everything to make sure I had an amazing shopping experience. I even got a free assassin snail with my order! They have an amazing stock of aquatic supply and I am very happy with the quality of the items I purchased. Will definitely be shopping with them again and hope to go to their shop in person eventually!

Glad this is near my home. When I first walked in, the atmosphere give you alot of idea and motivation to start something new or improve my current tank. They are super friendly, knowledgeable. Even if they are busy during black friday, I don't feel neglect at all cause the staff (Jarred) check in on you and they are trying to give everyone the best experience equally as possible.
Buy 5 get 1 free was what got me into neocaridina shrimp. Definetely learn new thing everytime I go in. Aquarium co-op product was great as I learn from the youtube video and now I can see the quality before I buy them. Last but not least I just loved my pair Santa Koi Guppy. Breed by Owner Darrin and it was nice talk to him about them. Thank you for the wonderful experience and I hope you guys expand and do great.

I go to this place for all my fish hobby needs since they opened here. They treat me like a friend and family. Any question I had they were answering patiently.
I like just walk around and look at the set ups in the tanks at front. So much so that I wanted to set up a cube tank. Today when I told they they gave me one free evendough I didnt have enough points yet. Today I mentioned that my drift wood too long and I wasnt able to cut it, rightaway they told me to bring it in and they will cut it for me. Thank you. Just made my week. Lol

First time here but familiar faces. The people here are always lovely! They had such beautiful Guppies’s but waiting to give some of my own away to make room for more. Got one spiky snail as it was all they had. I might go to the one on Hastings to pick up a few more I was given a lovely towel that I will keep in my fish room!

A more spacious version of the original location that I already gave 5 stars. I guess this place should be 6 stars in that case.
Best freshwater planted Aquarium store in town.

It is wonderfully spacious in this location, with many fish and products easy to access. April's South Van definitely seems like a good destination as a specialty fish store. Make sure to check their site for stock or call ahead, stuff sells fast!

I can't say enough good things about Darrin and his team. The Marine location is now a weekly stop whether I need something or not. I'm not aware of another aquarium shop in Vancouver with such an enormous selection of tanks, hardscape (rocks and wood) and fish in one place.

If you haven't yet been, you need to change that asap.

I have been buying lots of stuff from April’s aquarium for years. One of the best local fish stores in town. I’m happy when they have second location. Very organized. If you want the level up your aquascaping skill or buying high quality betta, look no further. I hope they have more fish selections and bigger fish tho

I loved visiting! I'm a long-time patron of the Hastings store, and was so excited to see the new location. They have a massive quarantine facility at the back of the store, which makes me feel better about the health of my livestock, and the aquascaped tanks around the showroom are so nice for inspiration. I'll definitely be back soon!

One of the best fish stores in town. Quality and fair pricing. They also have a knowledge base I trust. All this and it's obvious they love fish culture. We drive all the way from MR because we trust them that much.

Just visited the new second location of April's Aquarium! It's beautiful! We were lucky because it wasn't too busy and they gave us a tour of the backroom. The store is clean and organized and staff are super friendly and helpful! Highly recommend you go visit when looking for your aquarium needs! We're so happy to finally have a LFS near where we live!

Not a place for specialty fish, no gold fish either. Appears to concentrate on small guppy like fish. Very limited on food selection.

Great team of well informed fish keepers and aquarists. Focus is 100% on passion for the hobby and providing a safe and loving environment for these wonderful amazing creatures we keep as pets. Very reasonable prices, a plethora of knowledge that staff are willing to share. Mom and pop shop that are simply making an honest living by spreading joy and helping customers succeed in this very rewarding, relaxing, challenging, and magical hobby. I've been fish keeping since I was 12, loved it.but learning from these guys only elevated my game and rather than being addicted to fish keeping, I fell in love with it instead. I used to visit them every week just to talk fish and support their business by getting my consumable products. The won't sell you anything you don't need, refer you to an outfit that may be better suited for you, and won't judge you for it. I always leave happy. The owner will bend over backwards for you if you're well intentioned. Go have fun, ask questions, you won't be disappointed. I moved to ON half a year ago, and will visit them whenever I come back. Best LFS. EVER. Hands down. Thanks fellow hobbiests! Keep your passion alive. Good business practice, good people, great quality products and livestock. We have been shopping at their Burnaby location for a while now so we decided to check out their new location. Staff were very friendly and not pushy at all. Answered any questions we had regarding plants and fish. Store was nice and bright as well as very clean. We also got to sneak a peak at the back area and it was very cool to see their set up. We will continue shop at both locations. Thank you April’s staff for your great customer service and amazing selection of both fish and plants.

We have loved April's Aquarium for years and couldn't wait when we saw there was a new location opening up. When we visited, we got to tour the entire store and we were astonished by how well thought-out the layout and the displays were. It's obvious everyone at April's is really passionate and devoted to the store and the fish. You can't compare any other fish store to this place. It's a must-see.

Very thankful to have a Lfs that's closer to me. Friendly and helpful staff and specializes in smaller planted tanks and species such as bettas, tetras, guppies, corys, etc. Super convenient, lots of parking, open space etc.

Very spacious location with its own parking. Still a little bare, but will follow closely. Congrats guys!
