Rudest doctor (Dr. Lana Lipkowitz), I went in for my routine PAP with a broken toe and she refused to give me a referral for an X-ray and spoke to me like I was a piece of meat. Needless to say, I did not proceed with the testing and left there feeling so bad. I have been using the clinic for years but enough is enough. I no longer trust this clinic with my health or wellbeing. I am sure the clinic will reply with all their excuses such as only one "issue" per visit and the doctor only does women's health but seriously, none really make up for speaking badly to your patients and leaving them feeling unprotected. Shame on this place.

The doctors are absolutely kind and respectful in my experience with that clinic. But the receptionist is generally unfriendly and the same thing happened during my recent visit there. There was a slight disagreement that resulted because of the unfriendliness of one of the women who was at the front desk trying to check me in. I tried not to make a big deal out of it. And thought it was over. While I was in treatment with the doctor, they called the doctor out of the room and I think they probably mentioned what happened (or their side of the story of what had happened) in the reception area which I thought was unnecessary and unrelated to my treatment. This interfered with my treatment time and I felt that they could have handled this differently and more professionally. If they needed to mention this to the doctor, they could have mentioned this to the doctor after my consultation was over. The one star reflects my experience with receptionist during my recent visit but it doesn't reflect my experience with the doctors.

Dr Vince Tong is my Doctor. He has been since 2005. I have always found him to be compassionate, caring and willing to listen. I never feel rushed. He's not the kind of Dr that spends 2 mins with you, writes a prescription and then hussles you out the door
The draw back is because he is so popular, he can be hard to get in to see
As for the clinic receptionists. They could at least attempt to sound like you're not bothering them.

I just came to write how rude and dismissive the receptionist was and I realized I had the same experience a year ago (I had forgotten my older review as I stopped going to my doctor because of the clinic).
The receptionist didn't book any appointment for me since I am considered a new patient in their clinic even though I am in their system!

I had to deal with this clinic because my family doctor moved there. The doctor never called on the first appointment that I had and when I called back the receptionist said the appointment was in-person! (They never mentioned that when I booked it and they haven't been doing in-person appointments for couple years).
I had to talk to annother doctor in their office to get some lab work requested. However the doctor never called to follow up even though there were few out of range items in the blood work. When I asked the receptionist to check why the doctor never called she said she was a reception not a doctor!

Went in for ear cleaning with Dr. Arnold Sikhakhane and ended up in the emergency room within a few hours due to severe ear pain. The doctor ruptured my ear drum & my ear was full of blood. Not sure how a doctor couldn’t perform a simple ear clean without leaving me in agony. Now I’m unable to hear from that ear & waiting for a specialist to see me.

Awful experience using this clinic, do not recommend. Went in for a pap test in January where I had to wait 1.5 hours even though I had an appt. Followed up for the results in May and was told they take 6 months. Called again today to follow up and was told they only took one swab when they needed to take two and so I would need to go and start the process again. No call or notification to inform me of this in the last 7 months of waiting for very important health results!

Dr Martins is an incredible, thoughtful doctor which I would highly recommend; but the receptionist I just spoke to at 10: 55 on June 24 was rude, dismissive, unprofessional, lacking compassion by telling me that she does not appreciate my frustration when I was calling to enquire about a referral for an ENT I have been waiting for 3.5 months to hear back from. Unfriendly is an understatement, certainly did not sound like she wanted to help or even be answering anyone’s calls let alone working, and would not give me her name which would help when I need to call back again for an update. We rely on doctors and the challenging process for health issues which only progress in severity after waiting months to get an appointment. I am disappointed that this is how your patients are treated - it is clear from the countless reviews there is a major issue with your staff at the front desk which is not indicative of the doctors they represent, and nothing is changing, not even a note back simply acknowledging how poorly we are being treated. There are so many out there who would love to work in the healthcare industry, being in the industry myself, how you treat people matters, and kindness doesn't cost a thing and goes a long way!

Constant appointment cancellations due to doctor holidays sickness, etc! Place is joke they only care about there pocket book not your well being. All I needed was a doctor in person to sign off on a simple blood pressure test so I could go back to work, but there is never anyone to do this which in return for there lack of performance I lost my job. Great job!

I used to really like this clinic, but they have gone quite downhill since.i had a phone appointment and the doctor is 15-20 minutes late.then, when i finally get the call and try to describe what’s happening, the doctor says “we only have five minutes.tell me what you want, i don’t want the history”. As someone who was calling to get my antidepressants changed, this was very shocking and upsetting.i told him how low i was feeling, and he responded with “i am calling you an ambulance to your address”. No care that i wasn’t even home, and was describing my EVERY DAY state of mind.what am i supposed to do- call an ambulance every day? Absolute joke.no help.if i didn’t have my mom there i would not have been in a good state of mind.word of advice: nobody there will help you unless you know exactly what you want when you call.if that’s the case though why do i even need them? To sign it? I thought doctors were supposed to HELP.will probably be filing a formal complaint because it’s months later and i am still in dismay at how i was treated during that call, because what i’ve described isn’t even half of it. I had the worst experience with the doctor Nicole Redding and the receptionist at Aquarius Medical Clinic. Doctors here don’t have patience. We came 5 minutes late because we couldn’t find the parking and Doctor Nicole Redding left the clinic in front of us saying that she has another appointment somewhere else and didn’t even see us and felt remorse. Receptionist didn’t even feel little sorry and tried to justify doctors behavior and didn’t even ask us if we want another appointment. An hour later they called us and said that we didn’t show up and if we want to reschedule. No coordination. This clinic is the worst, both doctors especially Nicole Redding and receptionists don’t show any respect towards patients. There are other clinics in the area, I would strongly recommend visiting those instead for good care.

Horrible, got a phone call the day of my appointment notifying me that I would not be able to be seen today. The original appointment was scheduled two weeks out, then I was offered another time of 1 week later. Absolutely don't waste your time going here, I wouldn't be surprised if they treat their patients with this same care.

I would like the administration of Aquarius Medical to take note how poor the phone service is to get a doctor's appointment. I have been going to Aquarius Medical Clinic for 7 years. I have a great doctor.

However, the wait times on the phone to book an appointment can vary from 5min - 20min and sometimes calling back because they dropped your call. Yesterday, I called and I didn't hear the receptionist correctly because she had a meek voice. She is not the only one that lacks basic customer service and being an effective communicator.

Don't go there, don't go there especially if you're pregnant!
Dr Theo was never there, pretty much all my appointment were made by the phone, then I got to see him in person for the first time, next time it was a different doctor telling me I was perfect and my baby was healthy and the third time couldn't happen because he never made the exams that really mattered and I lost my baby at 20 weeks.
If he was there to help me out since the beginning and really cared, I could still be pregnant.
I was 20 weeks and never had my pap or checked my cervix at any point.

It's just a irresponsible clinic.

The receptionist was extremely rude and made racial comments while I tried to book an appointment. Her tone was completely unprofessional. She then told me to go somewhere else to see a doctor. What is the world coming to when clinics are this child and lack basic communication skills. I genuinely did not say anything wrong or behave inappropriately.

I just tried to get an appointment for a medical issue. I have had no family doctor for over 4 years. Called 6 other clinics. None answered the phone. You couldn't even leave a message. Some had voicemail that directed you to their website which only had marginal info for existing patients. Very third world. Actually.
Aquarius answered the phone on the first ring by Lucy. Pleasant, super accommodating. She was simply divine. Got an appointment right away. Thank you Lucy. So much. For actually caring and ending my miserable experience in trying to find health care in Oh Canada.

Update: March 01 2022. More wow. Got a phone call from doctor (Jason?) right away to get me a blood test. He spent 20 minutes with me. Then I got a phone call from the clinic less than 24 hours after my blood test to go over the results. Not rushed. Answered all my question. SOOOO impressed. Thank you. Outstanding service.

Horrible clinic. Dr. Riley needs to get a proper schedule and the front desk girls really need an attitude check. They cancel appointments, then reschedule back to original time as if people don't have lives. Called again to reschedule an appointment because Dr Riley works only one day per week and wants to leave early that day. My wife is 32 weeks pregnant, took time off work for the appointment and because she can't reschedule to leave work early, the front desk girl said to look for another doctor. These people should be shut down and sued for malpractice. Unacceptable behaviour telling people so close to child birth to just go find another doctor. These appointments are made weeks in advance. Honour your appointments and don't be so rude when its your fault.

I have my maternity doctor at Aquarius who is there only one day a week. During my 30th week receptionist called and had to reschedule my bi-weekly appointment 2 times. I adjusted my work schedule and moved thing around twice. Receptionist called me again regarding my next 2 weeks touch point and said that doctor has to leave early and I had to adjust my appointment again. I got disappointed as this brings a lot of inconvenience. I expressed my concern and reception said: “you can go to another doctor”. Wow.really? She did not sound apologetic and her customer service skills were at level zero! So disappointed with this kind of treatment especially that late in my pregnancy

I’ve been going there for so many years as I don’t have a family doctor but I’m not sure what happened to staff one of the ladies I spoke to today was so rude.
First of all, I spoke with a receptionist on Sunday she said she’s working from home and had no full access to book me with maternity doctor but she said she was able to book me with regular doctor first.
I waited for one hour and nobody called me so I called the clinic and whoever answered the call said she doesn’t know what happened but I don’t have an appointment today and of course no apologies.
This is just a simple courtesy, she should apologize first. I’m so shocked how horrible their service is now, it wasn’t like this before.
She wasn’t trying to help me to book an appointment and kept saying there’s no doctors after 5: 30. She sounded soooo annoyed and told me how can she book me when there’s no doctors. Then change your business hours!
I was almost begging her to book me as I’m pregnant and need to see a doctor sooner.
There’s no professionalism whatsoever and I’m sooo disappointed at this clinic, I wonder if the owner knows how their staffs treat patients like this.
I’ll have to start looking for other clinic soon.
So disappointed! I recommended so many friends and I didn’t believe when they complained about receptionists but now I know.

I had an appointment at 1: 10pm and I was by my phone I received no calls from the doctor (I do get blocked calls) so I called the office the receptionist told me that the doctor said it went straight to voicemail. I explained that I received no calls so they told me the doctor would call back. I called the office back at 2: 00 letting the receptionist know I received no calls they told me to wait until the doctor was free. I called the office again at 2: 40 to see if there were any updates they said no just wait. I received a call at 3 from a receptionist telling me I can rebook on sat which is two days from now or I can continue to wait for this doctor. I agreed to wait. I called back at 5: 30 still not hearing from the doctor and the receptionist told me that the doctor will not be calling me and that the next appointment i can make is Sunday. I have been waiting hours for the doctor to call with no decency from the doctors office to tell me that the doctor will not be calling me and that I should know doctor doesn’t usually call back. Where was this information hours ago. Worst doctors office ever I can see why people give it such negative reviews.

This clinic is absolute garbage. I called in to because their website says they are accepting new patients and do walk-ins, of which they do NONE because "COVID", we have been in COVID for almost 2 years, update your website and fire your receptionist.

The atrocious reception first hangs up on me when I am speaking to her, I call back and she is so belligerent and shows a complete lack of care and disregard for patients and the public. People reading this, STAY AWAY. Value your health, do not seek care from these people. Red flags everywhere.

I called to book a dermatologist appointment and could not get through to anyone on the phone. When I finally got to speak to someone, I was told that they were only offering telephone appointments for a DERMATOLOGY appointment or I'd have to wait weeks to see someone in person. There are very few medical concerns that can be properly addressed and examined over the phone, and certainly not a dermatology appointment which is much better done in person both to the patient and physician's benefit. Steer clear of this clinic if you can. It's extremely mismanaged and it's clear they don't care about their patients' wellbeing. You will wait weeks for an appointment regardless of the severity of your concern or be forced to take telephone appointments which are quite frankly a waste of time and a horrible way to assess a patient's condition.

Don’t normally post reviews but this place was so bad I had to. Called a week ago to book an appointment next Tuesday. The day of the appointment, no notification or email reminder. Called to double check my phone appointment time at 740. Was told doctor would be busy and he will call me a little later. That’s fine, comes 835 not a call back. Called receptionist desk and they said doctor could not reach me due to my phone blocking numbers. I do not block any numbers on my phone, much less a random number I have never seen before. So if I hadn’t called back to confirm they would’ve just kept me waiting until they closed. Called back and the receptionist really insisted it was my fault that the doctor can not reach me due to my phone blocking his number. I was calling about a dry nose and skin problems a week ago. My nose is a little bloody now and it is irritating when I walk in the area of my skin rash. Thankfully they really care and told me to continue waiting up until 9pm, when they close and I can not call them anymore. I have wasted almost a solid week of time. If I could give this place a zero I would be happy to do so.

Booked my boyfriend in for a couple of appointments here and honestly had great experiences both in person and over the phone. The reception team was helpful in finding quick appointments and Dr. Martins was a good listener and very helpful in person, as well as during follow up appointments.

Their website literally says they take walk-ins, then I call and the person is super rude on the phone and cutting me off telling me that they don't do walk-ins due to the pandemic. I understand that but update your information online and don't be rude to people who are just trying to seek medical help in a city where it seems impossible to get a walk-in appointment.

A the doctors I have had here are very kind and knowledgeable But if you have a phone appointment they will likely be 15 to 45 minutes late. The receptionist on the phone when you call to make an appointment are quite rude, cold and seem like they are trying to get off the phone as quick as possible. The actual doctor service is good but the experience and customer service is poor.

The doctors here are a bunch of D-grade students still trying to make a career. For 18months I kept complaining about breathing difficulty all through Covid. 16months later they finally assigned me an ENT- turns out what they kept telling me was GERD & allergies after I said a millions times it’s not I had a massive nasal infection which had got into my throat and lung. 18months later and finally an ENT giving me anti bacterial medicine I’m some what good. I tried to stay loyal but if I were anyone, don’t go here.

I got an IUD insertion here, process was quick and I only had to go in the clinic once. Dr. Zahynacz was great in answering questions and she was very knowledgeable. The front desk ladies weren't bad either, I didn't have to wait! Would definitely recommend to girlfriends wanting an IUD.

The telemedicine intake had me waiting for hours before connecting me with a "skin doctor".

When I asked if that meant a dermatologist, as I had a toothache and need a general consult to obtain pain relief and/or antibiotics, the intake worker clarified "she deals with skin infections but can consult with you. "

You can imagine my frustration when the tele-appointment rolls around and she advises me that she would need to see me, but that she was busy until next week and I would have to contact reception to make a appointment.

The consulting doctor couldn't even be bothered to transfer my call, or even book me in her own schedule as that was all done "by the front desk".

When I pointed out that it was reception that booked me in for a teleconference, and I asked her if she was going to bill this call as a consult against my health plan, she said that this was part of her intake process.

Still no word exactly on what she is a doctor of, but I am taking my ailment elsewhere.

Probably the best clinic I've been to in Canada. Every time I've gone with a problem, it's been looked at thoroughly. Other clinics will try and get me out the door in a minute, whereas doctors here will take their time to explain issues and treatments, and look into the problems. Just now I had one of the doctors realize that her referral to another place would take over half a year, so she started looking for somewhere else to refer me to.

My only gripe is that they have a one problem per visit rule, but that's probably due to how clinics in canada are forced to operate due to needing to make money.

I wish there is an option for zero stars.
My girlfriend (who is pregnant) and I have been coming to this clinic for a while now.
Almost every time there was something wrong, but the only reason why we were still coming there was this wonderful male doctor (who is retired now and I hope he is enjoying his free time).
The receptions are always rude, and they actually asked my girlfriend one time to 'speak proper English'! (as to many ppl in Vancouver, English is not our first language)
Our last appointment there was with prenatal doctor, and because my girlfriend was waiting for MSP extension we had to pay for that visit.
A week after she got her MSP (which she has to pay cause she is an international student) but we couldn't get any refund from the clinic. We could really use that money for our baby but the manager didn't even try to listen and help us out.
We won't be going to this clinic again and we won't recommend it to anyone for sure.

If it weren't for Dr. Tong, I would definitely never be returning here. He is AMAZING! The receptionists are extremely rude, have a lot of attitude, they have giving me incorrect appointment dates twice already (they say one day but its actually another?) Whenever I try to call and make an appointment they just answer and put me on hold without even asking and leave me on for more than 10 minutes and don't return back. I have seen many poor reviews about the receptionists, I think it is time to for this clinic to take action. And an excuse to say it is busy is not an excuse. My best friend and her sister use to work there few years ago, and yes, they were always busy, but always made sure to not only have a smile on their faces for the patients but also have the utmost respect for everyone. Please fix this as this is a major PROBLEM. When patients go to the doctor, it is for a reason, that may already make them feel uncomfortable or sad, the last thing they need is the receptionist to treat them poorly and make rude comments (while eye rolling and giving attitude). Aquarius Medical Clinic - fix this!

Please make sure that you send patient’s prescriptions to pharmacies on time. Your team must follow up with the Pharmacy if they received your patient’s prescription right after they send it. And when the patient confirms with you why the pharmacy didn’t receive it, please do not make excuses that the “system” is messed up. Follow up with the pharmacy right away and do urgent order since your team did not take responsibility and was not organized enough to send the prescription to the pharmacy.

The receptionist was one of the rudest individuals I've had the displeasure of interacting with. When I called to make an appointment (new to Vancouver), she was rude, short and seemed annoyed that I didn't have a pharmacy to list as my "home pharmacy". As I explained that I literally moved to the city a week ago, she was dismissive. She's Australian and claimed her name was Holly (pretty sure that's a fake name) and wouldn't allow me to ask any questions about the Dr. 's or how appointments work. Don't know why she works there if she hates people so much and can't seem to stand answering basic questions.

Do not waste your time with this clinic. My experience with Dr. Chan was horrible. Had a telemedical appointment with him and not only was he rude, he failed to bother filling out my requisition form for LifeLabs. I showed up for blood work and there was no paperwork in the system. When I called Aquarius medical clinic about the situation they said he did not fill out the paperwork even though it had been ten days since my appointment. What kind of doctor fails to complete their work?

Don’t waste your time. You will have to wait for an hour or so for your scheduled appointment. Not so friendly reception, they do everything they can to show you that they could not care less about you or your time.

In my opinion is the worst service ever. The receptionists are always rude and not helpful. I was going there just for one doctor, who helped me, but when he retired I didn't have any reason to stay there.
Some doctors don't really care and they messed up with my thyroid exams. I hope for the management take seriously the review and training better their team.

First fact that we should wait so long time and doesn’t matter do you have appointment or no, is there many people or no. Second fact why secretary person who don’t wear a mask ask people to wear a mask? If I don’t sick and think that wearing a mask is bad me, but you want me to wear it, make sure that you can offer of for free! Not for money! That’s business, not safety reason!

My husband's blood test results were off, low sodium, and NONE of the doctors at this clinic took it seriously. Long story short: He ended up in the hospital due to a serious condition that, if left untreated, could have been fatal. I'm amazed that none of the doctors could spot the signs. They just kept trying to push pills (often the incorrect pill for the problem, like an anti-depressant!). Instead of getting him treatment right away, we wasted two months with this clinic. Absolutely horrendous ability to diagnose a medical condition that's right in front of their eyes. They should all be forced to retake their med school courses. To top it all off, the receptionist accidentally email my husband a 15-year-old's medical information and anti-depressant prescription! TERRIBLE. Don't waste your time here.

Yes, you may have to wait for medical care, like at any medical centre, but the clinic, staff, nurses and doctors are very knowledgeable and kind.

What’s the point of scheduling appointments if the doctor I’m seeing is always running late? Because of the patients who are late. For example, during my last visit the person who was scheduled before me arrived 20 min late, and I was already there, right on time for my appointment. How is it fare that I have to wait? I wait for at least half an hour or more every time. I think patients who are late should be punished and go after those who are on time. Otherwise, why should anyone care to stick to the schedule?

I was going to go there, but all the the absolutely horrible reviews are scaring me. The place really seems to have the worst clinic management I've ever heard of and very unsavoury staff. I only looked because a friend of mine told me DO NOT GO THERE.

Unfortunately doctors who work in this clinic don't care about patient and how thry feel. This is our people's health. They are in rush especially doctor Hookani. I had a very bad experience with this doctor, he didn't listen to my concerns about my health problem and after I was waiting for 20 minutes he didn't even spent 5 minutes. I am glad I didn't trust his judgment and I went to check with other doctor at other clinic and my problem was so serious. This is other's people life and health. After that I let manager know what happened and she never follows up and few weeks to went there and talked with the owner, her answers to my concern was so interesting she said my manager has been so busy recently and about doctor she said you know he is a surgeon (what does that mean?) and probably that day he was busy. I am still shocked they don't even care about people and their concerns even when you spend your time going there to let them know what is going on. My life could be in danger and at risk. Please be advised not take a risk with your health and go to this clinic.

A friend recommended me this clinic and I’m very happy I came. Staff is nice and kind and make you feel like they care about you. I have been in a different clinics an staff were grumpy and careless. This clinic makes me feel comfortable.

Although, the waiting time could be long, so it’s better not being in a hurry if you come even if you have an appointment.

I have visited this clinic several times. Each time the staff have warm and been courteous and professional. All of the doctors have been great too, particularly Dr Lawton, Dr Martins and Dr Chase. Highly recommended.

The doctors are all very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I have been here maybe 4 or 5 times over a period of 3 years and have never had a bad experience with the physicians. That's where it ends. The staff are incredibly rude and useless.
