Amazing authentic Mexican food! Wasn’t expecting it, just popped in for a bite. Great service, popping Margaritas!

I’m originally from El Salvador, but I love Mexican food! One of my favourites. My wife and I were able to finally get out of Vancouver and go on a small first honeymoon. The resort was Rockwater secret resort. We got a gift certificate from them for $100.00 dollars. So we used it at Aquí es Mexico. And I was a little worried about the quality of the food in such a rural area of BC. But this restaurant did not disappoint! The hospitality is great! And the food was delicious! Not what I expected! I honestly recommend if you ever visit the Sunshine Coast definitely stop and have lunch or dinner here! It was a great experience!

This is an excellent restaurant. I really enjoyed the wet burrito. This is a great option if you’re looking for a meal in the Madeira Park area after a day of hiking and/or paddle boarding. The staff are friendly and the restaurant has a really comfortable, casual feel.

This was so so good, the Azteca (tortilla soup) was phenomenal and tasted so flavorful and amazing. Everyone was so nice, and it was a fantastic place to eat!

Mexican is one of my favorite foods, I try everywhere I go and this is the best I've ever had

Waiter was very rude. There was no host so people were seating themselves so my wife and I walked in and sat at a dirty table. We weren’t in any hurry and thought I’d do them a favour as they looked busy so I picked up the 4 cups and the water bottle and brought it to the bar and said “here you go” and smiled. The waiter looked up and said “that’s disgusts me. I hate it when people do that”. I said “I just wanted to help”. He kept mumbling as he walked away. I called out to my wife, “we’re leaving”. He told my wife what I did was disgusting and said it to the table beside ours. The table asked my wife what happened, she explained, and they said “that’s really weird, I’d leave too. I did it to be helpful and in no way was trying to hurry them. Don’t go here. This attitude is what Madeira doesn’t need.

Great restaurant in Madeira Park, we sorely needed a place that is more reliably open than the Grasshopper. The food is GREAT! And the atmosphere is awesome.

This is a great find for Sunshine Coast Mexican fare - the margaritas are refreshing and the servings authentic and tasty! Muchãs beunos!

My experience was not good. Seemed not keen to on serving party of seven. Was given a great place on the shade. But I guess out of sight out of mind. Waited for ten minutes with no menus no water and no service. Asked if this is goi g to work here and was told that if I had questions like this that I should leave
So we did. No good no service. Bad place. Will not recommend this to anyone.

Ate the best authentic nachos of our lives here - full of delicious toppings and moist & flavorful pulled pork. You might think you won't find good Mexican food in this area, but you're wrong! Don't pass this place up.

If you live on, or are visiting, the Sunshine Coast and are near Madeira Park make your way to Aquí Es México for a meal. It’s delicious authentic Mexican food. We were visiting for the weekend and decided to try it for lunch; we enjoyed the food so much we went back for dinner the next night.

Love this place! Mexican food so delicious it keeps you coming back. I can't get enough of their chicken enchiladas but the other items on the menu are pretty good too.
Definitely hit this place up if your in Madeira Park!

Decent food but a little expensive for what you get but not that big of a deal.

Low rating because when i paid the machine is an all in one till type that you have tap the till itself.

Server rung it up and then point to the tip section and said the single word 'tip' and stood right next to (less than a foot) and watched.

Felt forced to have to tip and almost didn't because of this. Would not go back based on this factor alone.

I thought there were many restaurants in Pender Harbor that I could use. Originally this one was relatively low in the list, but many of them were not open, so I came to this Mexican restaurant. The food was very good, and it was a perfect ending to my trip here.

Excellent food and nice staff. Giant burritos are enough for two people to share. It’s a huge bonus driving up the Pender Harbour. Will definitely come back.

Ate here recently during a trip to the Sunshine Coast. The food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing. We had nachos that were great, ceviche that was super tasty, and a wet burrito that was fantastic. Would not hesitate to visit again and would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Beautiful presentation of the best Mexican food we’ve ever had! Hands down the best tortilla soup ever!

We had such an amazing experience here! Completely accessible which was perfect for the guest who I was with. The staff were so accommodating, had amazing suggestions, and were warm and welcoming. Not to mention the food was fantastic. So happy we came by and we can’t wait to be back!

Amazing food and service! We were a group of 6 that just finished a hike and were very hungry. The margaritas were awesome and the food came quick. Fish tacos were the best I have ever had!

We will definitely come back when visiting the coast.
