Hours need to be updated? I tried moving an appointment but was met with a bit of disdain when I didn’t remember the name of my doctor. I was then told the office is closed on Fridays but everything I’ve looked up says otherwise…

How do you get an urgent prescription refilled if you can’t leave a message or see the doctor? Guess it’s less strain on the medical system if I just died. But then they’d have one less patient they can bill the govt for. How do you make an appointment if no one answers the phone? Some of us still work and can’t afford to sit in the office hoping to get an appointment during 9-430 pm.

The worst attention I found in many countries where I have lived. A lack of respect and love for life, never seen. Poorly prepared people are one cause of Canada's health deficiencies. I leave very sad

Dr Oremakinde (female Dr, as there is also a male Dr with this name) is in my opinion, awful. My stepdad went in with a lump on his leg and she, again, a DOCTOR, acted disgusted, squealed and jumped away from him, holding her hands out saying she didn't want to look. She told him to send a picture instead and made him feel very uncomfortable and embarassed. This is simply not okay for a doctor to treat people like this. A doctor like this needs to be weeded out or perhaps learn more about what her job title requires, instead of just focusing on the income. Treating patients like they are disgusting is so low and incredibly disrespectful.

Unfortunately we have had several disappointing experiences with one of the receptionists who refused me an in person appt. Because I wanted to be seen for a rash.
Although she is not a doctor, she said a rash is a covid symptom so I could send a picture and talk on the doctor on the phone only.
When I told my doctor about this he said he had not heard rashes were covid symptoms.
My husband, who is 73 was told he could not wait in the office because he is unvaxxed. He was told to wait outside (in the rain) or in the car until called.
Since no parking is provided or was available close to the clinic, he had to park around the block.
When they phoned him his phone wasn't working properly so, he was counted as a no show.
Mandates have been dropped.
Hospitals allow everyone in with a mask.
Why is this clinic discriminating?

Dr. Golbidi is an absolute gem. He’s kind and knowledgeable.
Coming from an ex ER nurse, that’s saying a lot.

Dr. Sarabi is the best doctor I have ever had. He is one of the smartest medical minds I have ever met. For such a young man he packs so much information into his head. He is equally as compassionate and kind. Always listens, always gives in-depth explanations and works with you. The man has so much on his plate, its a very busy place with a HUGE senior demographic. I can only imagine how stressful his days are and that he encounters racism. Im sure he wont see this but if you do, thanks for all you do man.youre a great human being.

The ladies at the front are also always very nice and patient. Its a great little office.the negative reviews are obviously just cranky seniors

This review is only about Dr. Sarabi. I had a good experience with the staff and know no other physicians at the Arbutus Medical Clinic.

Dr. Sarabi refused my family medical care because, at our initial visit, we asked him to wear a mask!

I accompanied my mother to her initial visit (not usually done during covid times, but she preferred to have help remembering what was said). Dr. Sarabi entered wearing a visor. I politely asked him to wear a mask because my mother is high risk. He said the visor was adequate. When I continued the conversation, explaining the reason for my concern (small patient room, poor ventilation) he said the visit was over and he would not accept us as patients. My mother urgently needed prescriptions filled but he said that was not his problem.

This is the worst experience I have had with a physician. I would far rather go to a clinic than try to have a professional relationship with this man.

Well, I’ll have to start with the the front end staff. The ladies are very freindly and kind. I came to Dr Serabi with an opioid addiction due to injuries and resulting chronic pain issues. The Dr was very concerned about my well being and continues to be so to this day. I am grateful to find a good Dr here on the coast! Keep up the good work!

I finally have gotten a gp after many years without and I have a lot of ground to cover.

I was seeing him about Ibs and Trying to rule out issues that may be related based on research he asked me to do. When I came back he called me a hypochondriac and tried to prescribe an anxiety drug.

He also prescribed a very strict elimination diet, without regard for my medical history, the dietitian believes he did not know it was a restrictive diet, or what it entails otherwise he wouldn't have prescribed it.

He seems knowledgeable and quick to rule out issues and solutions that may be costly to msp. When leaving he asked me a triggering question I said it was and he shrugged his shoulders and walked away with mild frustration.

I left in a bad state. Gotta go back cause there are no other Dr's on the coast. But there are still openings for this one.

EDIT: UPDATE

Just saw Dr sarabi and he refused to refer me to a specialist after an x Ray I recently had proved I needed to see a rheumatologist

Yet he wouldn't.when I got upset how he was being mysogynistic towards me, he said if I didn't like how he talked to get a new doctor. Then ended his placement as my gp. There are no other doctors on the coast!

Dr. Sarabi is a POS, and I do not recommend him to women or anyone who is in need of health care.

I was surprised at the reviews. I've been here just twice about a year ago now. They're a small operation but I saw a young doctor, whose name eludes me, but she knew things they missed at the hospital. She genuinely cared and I appreciated it.

I was booked in for a meet and greet to hopefully get a new doctor for proper medical care for my chronic illness. And a new doctor for my son but as soon we sat down we were refused. The new doctor was very rude and her explanation didn’t make sense. I’m making a complaint to the college of physicians and surgeons of bc.
