Rocky gave me the best haircut I've ever had! What a talented artist, and kind gentleman.

My family was on Vacation when we walked by the Salon, I’d been looking for a good salon to give me a brand-new look, and Rocky kindly took me in! He could easily see the ‘vision’ I wanted and started zooming away. I had a great time, and I’m very happy about the end result. Thanks!

Sabrina always gives me a great cut. She is skilled doing short hair. I don't have long hair, so I cannot comment on that.

Booked in yesterday with Sabrina for a hair cut she was wonderful super friendly and able to get me in quickly she listened to exactly what I wanted love my new hair cut I would highly recommend her

I was extremely happy to find this place since I am so specific about the haircut I want. The guest artist Jag was very professional and thorough in his approach. He was so warm and super friendly! The place was clean and they were taking all COVID-19 precautions!

I went in to get my keratin treatment done and kid me not, I had the most damaged and dry hair! Rocky gave me a lot of good advice for my hair and performed the treatment just perfectly! I’ll be coming in regularly! Definitely a place worth checking out!

Rocky is the best! Always listens to what I want done with my hair and makes it look wonderful every time I leave. It’s a fun environment in the salon and one of the only places I trust with my hair.

I found this studio by random luck when I am here on vacation. Rocky is talented! We briefly exchanged a few sentences about what I want my hair to look like. Rocky figured out his way to cut the hair with his artist instincts. It's perfect. I walked out of the studio so happy and satisfied.

It does not happen very often that your hairstylist just gets what makes you look best based on one's individual personality. Highly recommended!

They take COVID-19 protocol seriously. One client at a time. I feel safe there.

Wow! Rocky, the stylist I saw, was really great! He took one look at my hair and got to work right away. I was given hand sanitizer right away, and before entering I saw Rocky physically wiping down the entire area where I would be sitting and being around. He was great at conversation, and he has a flair to how he cuts and shapes hair. I really enjoyed my appointment with him, and I think the prices are super reasonable, considering the time and effort he took to take care of my hair.
Only 1 or 2 people will ever be inside (not including Rocky). You can wear a mask for the entire cut. The venue looked wheelchair accessible, and there is a little dog that likes to say hello to you then disappears to the back.
Overall, great experience! Please check out Artist Salon for yourself if you need a nice styling or need a quick trim!

I am so so thankful for Rocky and his amazing work today. After calling in for a walk-in to fix my mess of a colour for a wedding he spent 7 hours working on my hair for such a reasonable price. Not only did he correct my hair he gave it such a fun colour and pushed me out of my comfort zone for a totally awesome cut. He stayed 2.5 hours past close to make sure I was confident and happy about my hair. Highly recommend

Hands down best haircut I've had! The whole experience was a pleasure. Rocky is a true artist and you can tell how much pride he takes in his work. He knows his stuff! Great location and an even better environment once you're inside. Would highly recommend!

Since I moved to Victoria in 2007 I have been looking for a good hairdresser that understands what I want and gives me advise what looks good on me. I saw Rocky on Saturday and it has been the first time that I walked out of a salon completely happy and satisfied. The colour and the cut are just perfect.
I also loved that while I was waiting with my foils in my hair, he was constantly checking on my colour to make sure it is right. He gave me his full attention and when other clients walked in he gave them amazing advice on products and style. He also makes sure your tea is always hot and that you feel comfortable. Rocky, I love you passion and care. You rocked it! I'll definitely be back:)

I just love the staff/surfice they are very attentive to your needs and comfort, I left that salon with confidence and sumthing to look forward to.

My experience was very disappointing.
1. It felt like I was getting my hair cut by a dentist mixed with a car salesperson. The stylist spent more time telling me how damaged my hair was and how "brassy" my hair looked than acknowledging how I wanted my hair actually cut. She subsequently tried to upsell me on various add-ons and a demi-perm (keeping in mind that I specifically booked a dry hair cut and had not even mentioned my hair colour at any point). I had to awkwardly keeping saying no to everything. I just wanted what I had booked.
2. I specifically booked a dry hair cut the day before. I was quoted $45. I repeat: I specified prior to the appointment I wanted a DRY HAIR CUT. Without a word of discussion during the appointment, the stylist led me to a different seat to wash my hair. After feeling like I'd had to fight off all these other add-ons and dye jobs she had suggested, I did not have the energy to argue. I regret everything about this appointment.

I had a consult with Rocky and the next week decided to bite the bullet and get my hair done. BEST. DECISION. EVER! He gave me my dream locks! I usually get balayage but I’ve wanted to go a lilac/silver/platinum for a long time, but put it off so I could get my hair in good condition beforehand. He listened to what I wanted and took away brassiness/gold that I had underneath my hair. Before going to this salon I went to two salons prior that seemed to ignore what I wanted. I walked out of the artist salon ECSTATIC because my hair was actually exactly what I wanted. Rocky is a hair god, no lie. I definitely would recommend him to anyone, especially blondes! He radiates good energy and you can tell he loves what he does!

Alexandra fit me in on short notice and I love my new look! The manager and Alexandra were both friendly as well as professional. Alexandra made me feel taken care of, gave me tea, recommended products & didn't just cut my hair but talked me through a couple tweaks she knew would look better & work with my coarse hair type. It was my first visit but I'll definitely be back. Would absolutely recommend

We had a great experience at Artist with Rocky. My thirteen-year-old daughter and I did a classic thing where we tried to bleach her hair at home. Rocky turned her orange hair into a beautiful pastel silver lavender bob. Thank you so much!

SOO happy with Artist Salon, Alexandra did such a fantastic job on my hair last week and I'm so happy with the results! Both Rocky and Alexandra were in and are both so incredibly nice, they really try to make sure you're comfortable and taken care of! Got my hair done by rocky and I have never loved my hair more. I messed up my hair by trying to high lift it myself and did some damage and rocky managed to completely transform my hair into something BEAUTIFUL! 10/10 would recommend artist salon and make sure to ask for rocky!

Stand up establishment! Were from New York but live in LA when we’re not working the cruise ships. Our ship docks in Victoria weekly and my mates and I all fancy this little hideaway gem of a salon barbershop. Rocky is a serious hair Artist. Stella the shop dog is the best receptionist. Great experience.

Hands down best place in town for Balayage. They have Olaplex, fun staff, and the sweetest puppy. I love my hair. I will be back:)

Been going here for years. Have had various styles, colours, and cuts over the years and without fail I am always complimented on my hair! I’m always amazed with the results. Highly recommend.

I'm just a bit confused, as I called to ask if they had anyone who could do a "faux bob", the kind achieved by pinning the hair underneath. I called several salons before who knew exactly what I meant but were too booked up.
The person I spoke to on the phone gave me a straight up "no", and let me off the phone after I clarified that i didn't want it cut. There are tutorials for this all over salon product websites (even Redken), and other parts of the internet. I'm just not good with my hands and styling. Anyways, I guess I'll try it myself or hope another salon calls me back. ‍️

I walked in expecting an ok experience based on my friends experiences here but was completely blown away by the results. Rocky over exceeded my expectations and took me to a level a blonde I thought I could never achieve. Pet friendly fun atmosphere.

Impressed. They got me in right away as a walk-in, and I’m extremely happy with my haircut. I normally bounce around salon to salon but will be back.

I had a terrible screw up done by an at home salon and called Rocky to fix it. I wish I took before and after photos. I can't believe how much better it looks. Not to mention Rocky was super sweet and funny. I went from feeling really low confidence to YES QUEEN in the matter of 3 hours (that's how long it took). This was my first experience at this salon and it definitely won't be my last. ️

Rocko gives a siiiiick fade! & they use LayRite & Bumble&Bumble! Need I say more.highly recommended! They had the Raptors game playing and it felt like a party at this salon. Not the normal feeling for a higher end salon, it was like hanging with besties and super chill. Be back in a few weeks for another dope fade. If I could rate them 10 stars I would. Thanks for the the great experience and seriously best fade and attention to detail I’ve had (brows, ears, beard, outlined, hard part line, and perfect blend). I feel great and went out and got tons & tons of compliments after.

Had a pleasant morning wandering and visiting the BEAUTIFUL city of Victoria- decided to look for some pampering.called and spoke with Alex, she was warm, welcoming and got me in straight away. I was looking for an update and ended up with a ‘WOW! ’ Seriously, girl has some skills! We consulted, chatted -had a wonderful time discussing product recommendations and more- EVERYTHING i could hope for from a salon experience! Terrible experience. I spent almost 300 dollars for a hair service and it did not turn out as expected at all. In fact, my hair is now brittle and I cannot do anything with it or get it fixed for fear of damaging it further.

The hair job itself was okay but the owner (rocky) was quite intrusive in personal matters which I did not appreciate. Due to his demeanour I wouldn't be visiting again. Fine line between friendly and pushy, which people forget to respect.

All around amazing place. The staff is friendly and the owner is one hell of a guy. You can tell he really loves what he does. I would recommend this place to anyone who's is looking to find a new regular place to get their hair done. I tired many other places around town but this is the only place I will continue to frequent.

Rocky is extremely unprofessional. He kept asking me extremely personal questions PERSISTENTLY, and kept hitting on me. It was an extremely uncomfortable situation. Messed up my hair as well and was extremely intrusive in personal matters and asked me out several times despite me making very clear that I was not interested.
Please avoid him - he's a real creep. He's lucky he hasn't been reported yet.
