I have had him do some complicated framing work, where he had to think outside the box and help me solve some tricky framing issues, and he came through with flying colours. I picked up two larger (2 X 3 feet) framed photos last week and could not be happier with the work! I recently had two large silkscreen prints framed at this store and the owner couldn't have been more helpful and lovely. His store was recommended by the well known Malaspina Printmakers and the founder of Art Rapture and they both clearly know what they're talking about. The cost was extremely fair and basically equal to the cost I was quoted to frame it myself at Opus. Another store quoted me nearly 3 times as much to frame my prints. I obviously chose to go with Artryan and I couldn't be happier with the results. The attention to detail with my unique prints was so appreciated and his work was impeccable, using only high quality materials. I highly recommend putting your trust in him - both for the quality of his work and the fair price he charges.

The store owner Hale is so helpful, insightful, and friendly. I was blown away by his customer service. I am a fine arts student and had to go in today for a supply haul. He walked me through the store and gave me insights into each product I sought. The store, despite being small, has a good selection of merchandise, that's very reasonably priced. I have bought art supplies here many times and need to go back soon for more. Because the owner is an artist they know many things that give great insight into what items to carry from paints to paint pens. The items I got at this place contributed to some amazing works and helped me through some difficult times. Things were feeling a bit dark and the light and colour from this place will echo through time

Great service, a wide assortment of art supplies. A thoughtful shop owner who is honest and professional. Got my passport pictures done in only a few minutes at a cost unheard of these days.

The man who owns and runs this store is such an amazing man, I had the pleasure of chatting with him for a good 20-30 minutes while getting some supplies to keep me busy while at children's hospital with my daughter. He was so positive and friendly, and shared a little with me about his own story. He doesn't have a lot of stock, but what is there is very reasonably priced. So glad I found this hidden gem!

Very nice guy especially to UBC art students. Competitive prices especially with student discount. Very small store but the selection of goods is better quality than most larger art supply stores.
