Askew's Foods - Armstrong

Meat is always fresh and good sales, bakery is amazing. Unfortunately have had a few encounters with rude or just
unhappy cashiers at this location. Have been there less since, or used self checkout!

Has to be the most expensive grocery store I have ever been in. The meat prices are crazy. Everything else too. English muffins $5 almost. Everywhere else under $3!

Great ambiente, good offers! Very friendly staff and nicely controlled COVID 19 prevention measures.
A safe and pleasant place to shop!

One of the few places that still has most items on shelves, is still surviving after the hoarding that has happened recently. If the all shop respectfully then all can make it through this year until travel clears up to the coast again.

Askews is awesome.
Local, good variety, friendly staff.
Just be prepared to pay a bit more.

Great grocery store. Meat department was wonderful with their own special cuts and sausages. Home made frozen pies are delicious. Wish we had an Askew’s in Kelowna.

They have a sign in the door saying that masks are recommended but not mandatory yet only 20% of their staff are wearing masks on Day 1 of phase 3, essentially rendering the recomendation meaningless.

Not to mention the recommendation is for fully vaccinated people, its impossible that the teens working their could have recieved their second dose and should be wearing masks. Do better.

And what kind of grocery store closes at 7? God i loathe this store.

Small Town Grocery store where you pay 20 to 30 percent more than Superstore
Staff are friendly if that counts for the higher prices.

I stopped into Askew's about a week ago. I must say I was so disappointed to see most of the staff not wearing masks and customers at a 75% to 25% of not wearing masks. I enjoy shopping here, just disappointed at the lack of safety protocols.

Clean place with cheerful prompt staff and service - personal and polite to all even in these trying times.

Friendly faces, fresh produce and a great selection of meat. Prices can be a little bit higher than other supermarkets.

We where very disappointed by a cashier named Sharon. We approached her till, purchased our grocerys and not one word was spoken from her. I do know that she did not have a speech impediment or or was deaf as I over heard her speaking to another cashier. A very disappointing experience as a very first timer: (

Nice small town grocery store with bakery and deli. Friendly staff. Good place to pick up food for the road if you're just passing through on the highway.

This place has excellent service and the bakery is the perfect place to grab a quick bite for lunch!

Like the store but the cashier was very rude. Not impressed, she's lucky i didn't ask to speak to the manager. Based on her coworker's reaction she isn't just rude to customers.

Very wonderful staff. Sales are great. There is some over pricing. Also love the fresh bakery in there. ️

Good selection of items. Lots of local.produce and products. The bakery is separate, and so you have to pay for the bakery items AT the bakery, which I don't love. But overall, it's a pretty decent store!

The bakery is filled with really delicious things but the store itself is quite expensive in comparison with some others in Vernon

I shop here great meat and vegetables and fruits staff are always friendly and helpful good selection of gluten free food too

Very clean store. It could do with a sign letting you know that the bakery is a separate store inside the store, to avoid confusion at the till. Honestly though there might be one and I just didn't notice. Very fresh produce and some interesting things I hadn't seen in other stores.

The quality, price and variety of meat products are.outstanding.

I love this store! The second we walked into the store we were greeted by a friendly staff. I have to jump to the bakery! I wish I live in Armstrong so I can go to this bakery everyday. I had to try a few things. Maybe more than a few. I LOVE EVERYTHING I BOUGHT! Thank you, thank you, thank you! It's been a long time since I've given a bakery so much prise! Hats off to the baker! I went back for more today Sunday and to my shock the bakery was closed. A lovely worker informed me that they are closed on Sundays, living in Burnaby all the stores are open seven days a week. Apparently my face was so sad the staff told me that the store also have great snacks, but I REALLY wanted stuff from the bakery. Askew's bakery I am coming back before the end of the year. Yes I will drive 4.5 hours to go to this bakery! Sorry I didn't take any pictures, once I started eating I couldn't stop to take pictures! The store have a lot of amazing finds. Thank you Armstrong!

The Armstrong Askew's is a Awesome place to shop! Local produce, Friendly and Helpful workers! Plus their Wedgies are to die for!

Great grocery store! Everyone there is friendly and helpful. Besides the staples, they have all kinds of interesting foods to try, considering different diet requirements and they are getting more and more vegetarian and vegan choices in all the time.

Surprisingly good selection, great butcher department, has stuff I thought I would have to buy at the health food store. Is missing some other stuff I would usually buy, but still overall a good store.
