Moved from Ontario to Alberta. Do not use this company. 0 accountability. I would have been better off selling off my items and buying them new or used when I moved. They contract out thier shipments so your items may be transferred many times to another or other carriers. Ours were not properly transferred, 0 care on handling. 23000$ move with over 11000 worth of damages, missing items and broken items for a 40 dollar courtesy refund.

If I could give them negative 10 stars I would. Liz Davidson was especially a nightmare to deal with. I started in Calgary they offered storage. I did not know my final destination or if in fact I would move. As I considered a move to the Maritimes on my trip they moved my belongings to Mississauga, Ontario. When I did settle on a location she added $. 20/lb for the move (I did an initial quote for PEI, but explained upon booking I was not certain yet.but chose PEI as it was the furthest I would potentially go.she just made up stuff after that. 30 boxes cost me $5000 I could have mailed it cheaper! Nightmare absolute nightmare! I have also reported to the better business bureau and would happily join a class action law suit!

I requested a quote from them and based on the price, I went ahead with this moving company. Everything was fine at the start, I even filled up an excel sheet detailing all my stuff that I had to move, and it was less than 1000 lbs, so they quoted me around $1350 (before taxes). And I had to pay a deposit of $650. The day the movers came, they were so aggressive with the handling of the boxes. We labeled the boxes fragile in which we put glasses. They disregarded that and put heavy boxes over the fragile ones. Also, the day before the movers come, you get a call from admin, asking you a bunch of question, like how many boxes do you have, how many steps to access your apartment, and from the main floor to the basement there are 5 steps. Then the person on the phone would tell you, ma'am, you need to pay us $1500 right now for us to dispatch the movers (excluding the deposit). They were urging you to pay it right now, in a very rude way, and when I asked why, they told me because of the boxes. I told them that it is all the items from the list I provided and they say no we charge by boxes. The total came to around $2150. Which is way above the quotation and to note it included the 5 steps they needed to take to get to my unit. Then the movers took my stuff and I got another call that in order to deliver it to my new address, I need to pay an additional of $350 since there were more than 5 steps, I was shocked. I went outside, took a picture and send it to them. They insisted on paying them, at this point I was apprehensive in case I did not get my stuff from them, I paid them just to be done with them, My total came to around $2500. Now tell me you'd like this from a moving company? Liz was my representative. They tell you that you won't get any bad surprises on the pricing, that they are the best. Yes, ma'am you are the best in taking money from people, in handling people's stuff badly, in being rude and not being transparent. I regret taking you as my mover.

If I could give this company a negative star review o would. My estimate was a moving target, the woman I dealt with Liz Davidson.has the worst customer service skills I have ever seen I moved 33 pieces nothing weighing more than 50lb. My bill was over $5000. They moved items from Calgary storage facility without notice or permission to Mississauga, Ontario. My destination was undetermined and I was very clear on that when I booked them. They demanded a photo of a draft.which is against the law. They were 3 days late and I lost three days pay waiting for them…

I was hesitant about moving companies for my cross-country move this month, but Atlanntis Van Lines came highly recommended from a friend. I followed her advice and I really cannot speak highly enough of the team. The movers were professional and courteous, did not complain about loading or unloading heavy items, and were able to complete the job in two days! All my stuff arrived on time despite being told it was unlikely

I've been using Atlanttis Van Lines for all my moving needs for the past 3 years. They are always on time, reliable, and have a great team of movers. I've never had any issues with them and they are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that everything is done right. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a safe and reliable moving company!

It was the worst moving experience I had, I asked for moving service from Vancouver to Calgary. Although the told my stuff will be arriving in 15-16 days, it took 26 days, and after 26 days I got my stuff with lots of mess and damage. My bike was damaged, all my bags were dirty, boxes were damaged, some bags are teared. I don’t know how they are doing business. I informed them about the damage, they asked me to fill a claim form, it will takes 60-70 days to get their response!? ! Isn’t it funny!?

This is a front for an illegitimate business. Do NOT use them or any of the equivalent names they change to in order to continue operating. They actually STOLE stuff. Not just the usual horrific service/broken items/"missing" boxes (which also occurred - all the bad reviews are warranted). They broke the lock on a suitcase and stole expensive items within.

I am confident that Atlantis Van Lines is the best moving company in the country. I've used them twice now and they have been phenomenal both times. The movers were hardworking, efficient, and professional. They were able to get my things to my new apartment on time, without any damage or issues. I highly recommend them!

I was really nervous about hiring a moving company for my cross-country move. But Atlantis Van Lines made the whole process seamless. The team was professional, reliable, and affordable. They were on time and worked fast to get me out of my apartment in two days! I highly recommend them for your next move!

I've moved a lot in my life, but this was the first time I used Atlanntis Van Lines. I have to say that they were by far the best moving company I've ever worked with. They were so professional and efficient, my move went off without a hitch. It's been over a year since then and not once have I had any issues with my delivery or any of the furniture.

I have used Atlantiss Van Lines for two of my moves and I am so happy with the service that I received. They were very professional, quick, and efficient. The movers were very careful with my belongings and treated them like they were their own. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable relocation company!

Too Good To Be True!

Well, it was. "Estimate" doubled after the non refundable credit card payment was made for deposit. Take it or leave it. Stuff arrived in one piece so they get a star for that. You're going to end up paying the same as you would with a reputable mover anyway so might aswell save yourself the stress and go with one in the first place.

Very disappointed and lots of damage! Don't hire this company! We have used Atlanntis Van Lines for our move from Montreal to Victoria. They have promised to wrap our items in blankets, which was never done and most of items got damaged. They charged extra 450$ for extra items that wasn't even on our list. For all the damage they offered us 35$ rebate. The worst experience ever.

Honestly I had a great experience with Atlanntis. I packed my stuff up very well and expected to get some scratches and dings on some stuff. You're delusional if you're expecting your items to arrive without some minor damage from any movers. The price was incredibly good value, the office staff was friendly, and the movers were very efficient. I moved from Calgary to Montréal, and it only took them 3 weeks to deliver my stuff.

Highly recommended, will book with Atlanntis again in the future.

I have never been so shocked on customer service. The added additional 4000.00 on our cost in totall. Leaving us no choice but to pay it as one price as day of move and than told our stuff would be another 2000.00 for delivery this is absolutely terrible!

Terrible experience. When the truck was a week and a half later than their latest possible delivery date, I called to find out where it was. It turned out the driver had arrived in the province, but he didn't feel like driving the two hours from where he was to deliver to me. When the truck finally arrived more than two and a half months after it was picked up, there was only one man to unload all of the stuff and he complained the whole time that he had to come to my house. They quoted me 8-10 weeks to resolve a claim for an item they broke. After 12 weeks I had to call them to find out if they had resolved my claim yet - they hadn't. I moved July 10th and on December 14th I am still dealing with them. I would not recommend this company! Update- still waiting to have my claim settled in April.

Had the worst experience. Broken items and a missing queen mattress that was fairly new. Son needed it to sleep on. Liz told us she will ask warehouse and after a month no response other than our claims manager will look at the claim in 8-10 weeks. Delays in looking at claim. Still waiting for claim to be resolved. Unprofessional business.

Tried really hard to use Atlanntis Van Lines to move furniture from Abbotsford to Edmonton. The sales representative was easy to deal with and a clear communicator. The dispatch company who were responsible for picking up the furniture were ridiculous. Did not confirm a time the day before, rescheduled DURING scheduled pick up time due to a "truck break down, " then re-rescheduled for the same day. When they arrived, did not bring furniture wrap or blankets. We refused pick up, arranged with dispatcher for another day and time for pick up with the supplies outlined in our contract. Day before this scheduled pick up, we were called with a different time window we were NOT able to accommodate. The dispatchers told different stories to the sales reps than to us. We're out our deposit and scrambling to rebook, Atlanntis doesn't care. Really glad this happened before pick up as I can't imagine how awful they'd be to deal with if something had happened to our belongings.

They picked up my stuff but told me over the phone that it is just in transit and they have no idea when will it arrive, not even a date range. Only gave 2 stars because the people I dealt with from the company are good, it is the management and leadership of the company that is terrible. Highly not recommended.

Edit: received a call with the exact date of delivery. Changed to 4 stars. Still not giving 5 stars as I believe there is still a management issue even if it is just few individuals.

Edit 2: my stuff arrived today on time and it was well taken care of. Hopefully, the bad experience I had with Customer Support was a one-off but it is something the company needs to look into to avoid such occurrences in the future.

BEWARE Worst possible moving company ever! Zero star review, horrible communication, charged my card way more, refused to give a bill of landing, demolished both houses, threw bins down the stairs, hit my house and tree with their truck, refused to move stuff to the floors it needed to be moved too. Destroyed my front door in edmonton and as well ontario. Had to have police involved as they wouldn't take my stuff off the truck after hitting my house and tore down a good portion of my tree which fell on my truck and another vehicle. Didnt speak english at all. The women in the office are a sad pathetic excuse of humans. My childs memorial stuff from nicu and hospice was smashed and half gone out of the box with the tape completely removed. Missing 7 huge rubber maid bins and an armoire. Glass tables smashed and just given the legs back, brandnew sectional tore apart and dragged across the ground feet smashed off, office desk smashed apart, all the totes smashed with foot prints all over the lids, 90% of my stuff was delivered damaged or needed to be thrown out.

NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY, told to basically f u c k my self by the twits in the office. Was emailed a form to fill out with damages and told id get 40 to replace basically only the couch. Brandnew a week old before having it moved.

Highly suggest to go with " Atlantic " they are top notch. This company is pretending to be them with close to the same logo.

We need a negative star option to properly reflect this company's performance in moving furniture. Lost my rims and floor lamp, damaged my wardrobe and persian rug. Claim? 40 dollars. What a joke.

SCAM! Original Quote was SO incorrect -don't use their template.it was charged us 7,000lbs but actual weight is 5,000lbs (my husband went to the scale department to verify). We have requested invoice they are not sending us. I called a few times, no response.i will let you know what they will come up.

This company had many faults. From a 7 week delay in the delivery of our things to poor service from pick up contractors, plus a complete lack of responsive communication, it was a horrible experience. But the worst has to be the loss of a treasured Cedar chest, gifted to me by the First Nations I worked with. The box containing this gift was "lost" in transit and we have had no luck making a claim or getting any support in having this important cultural item returned.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! THEY CHEATED AT THE END AND CHARGED EXTRA! DO NOT GO WITH THIS SERVICE!

Do not go with this service ever! I had booked my moving from MONTREAL to VANCOUVER. First, they started with reasonable quote and asked for details about all my furniture and total boxes! Their Sales Representative "LIZ DAVIDSON" was the one who i had whole conversation through out moving

First, I had to pay EXTRA for the boxes I did not even have as when they asked for a list 1 day prior my moving date and I added 2 boxes extra by mistake but then they added their charges but did not ready to remove it even though i said it was mistake. Things did not end here. The biggest fraud they did was at the end. They charged me 200$ extra at the time of delivery and when asked for reason, she said our staff mentioned that the truck was not parked within 100 meters of distance and their staff performed extra labor which they did not as I packed everything before they arrived to pick. I lived on the 4th floor apartment in MONTREAL and when they arrived, the building security person showed them the way to garage where to park the truck and it was within 100 meters! Also, the building had ELEVATOR access to garage so, their staff did not have to perform any extra labor and did not need to take stairs at any time! I even confirmed with security person as LIZ was constantly denying for not removing extra 200$ charges! I even mentioned that security person has checked security cameras and was ready to show the clip as a proof of truck parking within 100n meters in garage. Their staff cheated as well. Once they picked up my stuff, one guy gave me the receipt which was completely EMPTY with no CHARGES or EXTRA CHARGES added and not even total amount, but took my SIGNATURE and gave a copy to me. He was a driver of a truck along with 2 other helpers, and did not even mention any extra charges! And then 1 day prior to delivery, LIZ contacted to pay the amount before delivery which included 200$ extra and when i asked for details of charges, She sent the same receipt I signed but she added this charges after! When I told her that this is cheating, she was blaming me that why I signed the form then as if i knew that they will cheat!

I am attaching my copy and their copy as a proof here! The empty one is my copy and one with charges is them!

I had to pay 200$ extra as they said if i wont pay, they will not deliver my stuff.

I even tried contacting their head department regarding this, but they never pass the phone to management!

This is what happened to my sofa! I opened a claim and after more than two months they offered me 40$! I even attached my sofa's purchase receipt which indicated I paid for it 1800$! I received it damaged, broken and awfully dirty! This company is not professional at all and don't take the responsibility! Not recommended at all! I have to buy a new sofa at end! I wish never worked with you guys. Please be more respectful!

Some more details for my move with this company (July 2021) :

Never chose this company as this is a total fraud. They will be very nice until they receive the non-refundable deposit of 1000 after which they would randomly change all the prices.

PICKUP CHARGES FRAUD:
They didn't provide a specific date of pickup and just called after hours one day before pickup that driver would be coming tomorrow. The driver was very rude and careless. He carelessly tagged things and some items were moved to the truck from the unit by his helpers before he even tagged them so they were eventually lost. He carelessly tagged everything hastily with some tags so loose that they would fall before they would reach the truck even. He charged 150 CAD for the elevator fee + long distance fee. The building had elevator and the movers used that elevator for the move but he said he needs a DEDICATED elevator which other residents cannot use. I told him nobody asked me to reserve that and I had just got a call after-hours just a day before. He threatened that he will not pickup the luggage if I don't pay him the elevator fee. His truck was parked right outside building main entrance but he charged long distance fee as well by threatening that he will not pick up the luggage otherwise. They got my signature on weighing scale fee for the luggage, but it was never weighed as they knew just by looking that the weight is significantly less than 3075 quote so they never actually weighed it. I later asked the sales persons Liz about what was the actual weight of my luggage and where is the proof of weight. She always gave generic copy pasted responses and said that my luggage weight was 3075 lbs (which was actually the minimum weight charges limit and that number she had provided on the quote before items were even picked up. How on earth she could predict that items weight would be 3075 lbs just from excel list of items and the actual weight comes out to be exactly 3075 lbs!). I kept asking her about what was the actual weight reading that you got from the weigh scale but she never told me that because they never got it weighed but still charged me Weigh Scale fee for it.

CHEATING CUSTOMER SERVICE:

Every time you call, the person one fone would take all your detailed information and then tell you that the person who could help you (whether it is related to sales or dispatch or anything) is on lunch, not available, busy with another customer etc and you should call again in an hour. On calling again, the same thing would repeat.
They would deliberately tell you that your sales person is not available even when they would hold your call for a few minutes during which they are talking to the same person. If you call one hour later, they would say the person has left the office, not available etc and call back again. You would be wasting your time and energy for everything. One time I called and the person lied that Liz has left the office. Half hour later I received the email from Liz which exposed their lies.

If you ask them what is the address of their office, they would respond that we do not provide the address and work over phone. If you ask about who their manager is, they would provide the name of Amelia but when you ask about her phone number, they would always respond that she doesn't have a work phone and can only be reached through email. If you email her or Liz, all you will get in response is a same generic pre-typed (copy pasted) response that they give to each customer without responding to any of your concerns.

Overall this was the worst ever moving experience. They are non-transparent about everything, cheating customers, and exploiting the fact that they already have got non-refundable deposit. They will start threatening you that they will not pickup the items if you dont agree to revised quotes and additional hidden charges. They charged almost double the amount they had initially quoted, damaged many items, lost 5 boxes full of items in addition to loose items and never did anything about searching them in their warehouse.

Terrible company, badly damaged furniture and unaccepted extra charges!

The day before delivery called me and told me the supposedly remaining amount of my move with no invoice and I have to pay it immediately or my move will be delayed! When I asked for invoice got a list of costs with more than $100 mistake in adding costs and an extra $175 packing cost that I did not asked for or even informed about! Avoid them if you could or be super careful with everything!

Also they destroyed a tone of my stuff and offered me $50 damage compensation!

Very very bad experience on using their services. They could not find my valuable coffee table without a valid reason. The claim was unexpected low as they use their own judgement to evaluate the weight of the item. In addition, I found a lot of damaged and broken items. If you're looking for a moving company with good service, I will NOT recommend them to you.

I am still trying to get my possessions delivered to me almost a month after my scheduled pick up. The cost of my bill has ballooned from 1400$ to over 2000$. Which I could have accepted had Atlanntis actual been able to complete delivery. BEWARE, all restrictions have to be written down. Ensure you generate a digital paper trail with this company because they will use any room for deniability to overcharge their customers. This has been a nightmare. Now all my possessions are being held hostage as Atlanntis attempts to extort more money from me.

We moved from Vancouver to Calgary in August 2018. After researching moving companies and corresponding with multiple companies, we selected Atlanntis Van Lines after reading online reviews and being assured by their A+ BBB rating.

Everything went smoothly at the beginning. Dealing with Vicky went very smoothly, pick up was done on time and a delivery date was easily agreed upon.

However, when our goods arrived in Calgary, we were shocked at how they were packed in the truck. It appeared that items were just tossed in recklessly without any care. Our mattress had visible marks of being dragged across the ground and our wood furniture had deep scratches and gouges from obvious gross negligence and mistreatment. (See the pictures of the truck and wood damage).

Upon contacting Atlanntis, they encouraged us to fill out a claim form (not reminding us at that point that our claim would be based on the weight of damaged goods). When we filled out the claim form, we only accounted for the damaged goods that were of the highest value to us. We did not claim the damage to our kitchen table, beds and bedroom furniture as we were planning on selling them.

In addition to the claim, we contacted Vicky, the Senior Customer Relations Manager to express our displeasure with their service and the treatment of our goods. Vicky deferred us to their claims process and to this date has not directly addressed our displeasure.

Atlanntis responded to our claim referring to the coverage we had on our goods based on weight and offered us $50. They did not address the obvious mistreatment of our belongings.

Based on how our goods were packed in the truck, the damage to our goods and the fact that Atlanntis failed to provide what they say is an included service of "Padding and Protection" of our larger goods, Atlanntis hid behind their insurance policy and treated our goods with total disregard.

I have moved multiple times over the last 20 years and I understand that accidents happen during a move, but this was not an accident, this was gross mistreatment and negligence.

The movers themselves were okay and the time I got my things was good but an agent I spoke to called E**** was very disrespectful and not professional especially when I emailed her about payment methods since it’s my first time using a moving company.

I'm being generous with the one star. The worst moving company I've ever encountered, and I've used a number of moving companies. My daughter used this company to move her belongings to her first year away from home attending university. The bed frame and a couple of other items were never recovered along with numerous furnishings that were gouged beyond repair. Besides the continuous calls made to rectify the issues at hand, compensation was not even sufficient to purchase a pillow let alone a queen bed frame and other miscellaneous items. This company made sure they covered all angles to be non-accountable for there actions. Be extremely careful when signing any contract that Atlanntis Van Lines has presented you with as other reviews have been a witness to this companies disgrace.
