I am a fairly new patient of Atlas Chiropractic and I have found them to be wonderful. Very accommodating and Dr. Barry has multiple techniques to get to the issues. Jackie at the front counter is wonderful as well.

Dr. Whyte is professional and has excellent bedside manners. He has worked with me through frozen shoulder and all the issues that come with it with a positive attitude.

So glad Dr Whyte and Birgit were recommended. The treatments I have received so far for chiropractic and laser have made a big difference in my back pain.

It was only at the repeated urging of my then personal trainer 6 years ago that I finally agreed to go see Barry (Dr. Whyte). I'd had nothing but unpleasant experiences with chiropractic appointments before and had never noticed much improvement after those appointments either. But wow! What a difference!

I was visiting Nanaimo when I hurt my back worse that I ever had before. My back was spasming so badly, I couldn't walk or stand on my own. I literally crawled into Dr. Whyte's office and was crying on all fours in his waiting room when he saw me for the first time. He began adjusting me there until I was able to crawl to his table. The next day I was able to walk into his office for a follow up adjustment. I have never bounced back so quickly from such a severe injury (I was walking upright again in 36 hours and feeling close to normal within days).

Dr. Whyte was thorough and took a holistic approach to treating me. He was kind and compassionate (I was very emotional and in a significant amount of pain) and made me feel incredibly safe and comfortable.

I had never been to a chiropractor yet after living with massive neck pain and a amazing referral I overcame my fear of the neck snap. Thank God for Barry! I have been having chiropractic adjustments to great success for 25 years in Rosemere, Quebec with Dr Luc Filiatrault, and now here in Nanaimo since 2019 with Dr Barry Whyte, who is a wizard at his craft. I call them my "tuneups" and I could not bear to be without Chiro treatments to ease my chronic pain from fibromyalgia/arthritis. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a wonderfully peaceful ambience in the office space.

I am new to Vancouver Island and suddenly found myself in excruciating pain from a fall that triggered a chronic problem. Dr Whytes office was able to squeeze me in for emergency appointment and I was assessed and treated by Barrie Whyte. He was professional and funny and got the job done! I am feeling much better now and will continue to use this office when in need.

In town visiting, and was delighted to find Atlas Chiropractic. They are very caring, thorough, professional, and friendly. Dr. Barry White seems to have a different, very holistic approach than most chiropractors, and his passion, extensive education and experience is evident in his treatment. He also has as a great sense of humour, and helps people feel at ease. They have hand sanitizer to use before entering, COVID protocols are observed. 5 stars all the way!

In 2017 I sprained my ankle, and never really gave it the treatment it deserved. It's left me feeling unstable for years now.
I recently went to see Dr. Whyte, who took me in on his lunch break, as a desperate new client, out-of-whack form sleeping on a bad mattress and various other things.
Not only did he fix up my body in general, he adjusted my foot/heel/ankle alignment and that sprained ankle feels brand new. Two weeks later and still no re-surfacing of the issue, either.
He's great. His receptionist is lovely, and I definitely recommend.

Dr. Whyte never appears rushed and I have never had to wait long to go in. He is very thorough and gentle and my back has been steadily improving since I started seeing him for treatment. The office is clean and modern and there is lots of parking available. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

This review is now 4 years old. I wanted to update it to reflect that I have continued to use Atlas over the years and have always gotten the same great service. Barry and Birgit have got more machines and services over the years and I have found the Shockwave Therapy to be really helpful.

I had some back pain. I have visited a few Doctors. My friend recommended Dr. Barry. Eventually my issue has been fixed here. My families have visited Dr. Barry regularly whenever we had any body balance issues. Highly recommend.

A friend recommended Atlas Chiropractic to me when my back started acting up. I had never been to a chiropractor before, so I was a bit nervous. There was no need to be nervous whatsoever. Dr. Whyte explained everything and made me feel 100% better.

Did not have a good experience from the second I walked in. I was told my appointment was booked incorrectly. The lady at the from desk blamed me for the mistake in a very blunt way. The doctor was not much better. He did not have the best bedside manner, was full of himself and made me feel uncomfortable being there for most of the visit. I don't enjoy leaving such bad reviews but based on the other reviews I was very excited to try this place. Disappointed it was such a bad experience.

I have had between 6 and 8 migraines a week since I was 16, I am now 54. All migraines ceased in February 2020 all thanks to Dr Whyte! I am thrilled beyond belief at his knowledgeable, forthright approach! He also adjusted my extremities! My feet and hands feel fantastic! I recommend him to everyone! He knows his stuff and he is very good at what he does!

Excellent in his field! He spends time and zeros in on the exact joints that are out and aligns them.
I could barely walk and within a day I was back moving about, a few follow ups and its like I had no injury at all.

By far the best chiropractor I have ever been to. I was injured when I was 21 since then was told that my lack of mobility in my left leg was muscle atrophy and other than stretching there wasn't must that could be done. I had seen multiple physiotherapists, chiropractors and doctors with no real improvement. I tweeked my back on new years and needed an adjustment. When the adjustment was made it put me in tears, for the first time in 15 years I was able to move my left leg. With everything that I've been told about my back injury and the treatments that I have had Atlas is by far the best.lol I can now touch my toes! Highly recommend them, give them a try and you'll agree.

Dr. White is by far the best chiropractor I have seen. I have had back problems for 15 years and have severe trust issues with Chiropractors due to a very negative previous experience. Dr. White was able to put me at ease with his fact based approach and by talking things through with me. I would highly recommend Dr. White to anyone needing chiropractic care, don't roll the dice. Can't I give 6 stars? Barry knocks his adjustments out of the park! I’m a painter and have a lot of chronic issues and lots of tension that make adjustments difficult for the average chiropractor. But Barry has the skills to get things into place and keep them there. Nobody beats Barry!

Last year while visiting my sister in Nanaimo she told me about Dr Whyte and what a fantastic chiropractor he is! Since I was here for a month and I didn't want to miss out on my regular visits from back home I decided to go see him. I'm so glad I did because of the 20+ years I've been getting chiropractic care in Ontario I've never had a treatment quite like what I had with Dr Whyte. I felt better in 1 visit then years of regular visits at my chiropractor. Since last year every time I come visit my sister I go see him as well. He's extremely thorough and his techniques are different than most chiropractors. When I went back home and saw my regular chiropractor he asked me what I did out West because my back felt great! And he personally told me to continue seeing him when I take my extended trips to B. C. Thank you Dr. Whyte and when I move back out here I will become a regular customer!

I've experienced 6 or more previous chiropractors and can honestly say ATLAS IS WHERE IT'S AT! I have never been happier with a chiropractor! The office is very welcoming and clients are scheduled appropriately so you're not left waiting forever for an appointment. Barry uses techniques that encourage problematic areas of my spin to stay in place-while other chiropractors adjustments would slip out of place soon after a treatment. I will not hesitate to refer this office to others. You will not be disappointed!

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The receptionist is very welcoming. I find the schedule options very accommodating and the options within the clinic are numerous as well.

I have seen countless acupuncturists and John Sun is a very talented practitioner. His skills go above and beyond, he is an intuitive and skilled healer. I only had two appointments and he was able to deal with a knee problem I had. I HIGHLY recommend him!

Dr. Whyte is one of the best chiropractors I have ever been to! He is very knowledgeable about the human body. I always feel better, and have better mobility after a session, and sleep so well. I have referred him to a number of family members and a co-worker who was in so much pain before going to see him, and all were so happy with the treatments. Dr. Whyte goes above and beyond to make sure that all issues are addressed and takes the time with his patients, which today is a rare thing! I had gone to see Dr. Whyte a few times for my hips prior to an 80km hike in New Zealand and I was able to complete the hike pain free, which was just terrific as I am in my early 60s!
